Youth from the Girls Rock Austin non profit organization returned to the Notes For Notes studio this month! Sativa in particular was drawn to the drums. She easily spent an hour and a half learning technique, and practicing various drum grooves. Sativa loves listening to all kinds of music from various genres and decades. She aspires to join a bandandbeaperformingartist!
visit to the studio, they arrived ready and determined to produce a beat that would featurealocalartistsontherise.Withinan hour, they fully produced an instrumental and started tracking Growchild on vocals. Lyrics were also written by Elii and Elliot. Keepanoutforthisbangernextmonth!

The Delores Duffie Rec Center hosted a Black History Month Event at the Doris Miller Auditorium. Youth from the rec center presented poster boards featuring influential black figures, poems, monologues, and music. In the picture above, the 7 & under group is rehearsing DoubtbyMaryJ.Blige.
