Notes for Notes Digital Impact Report

Notes for Notes® Digital Industry Programming is designed to support the workforce of the future. Participants are invited to explore music industry jobs as they collaborate to not only create and record original music, but to design and implement each element from song inception, branding and cover art to official online releases. Youth work alongside peers while talented producers guide them along a unique, self-reflective journey focused in the development of skills like time management, innovation and collaboration. Not just for budding musical artists, Digital Industry Programming was created with all youth in mind. By providing space for every skillset to engage in a diverse, team-centered environment these programs lay the groundwork for future publicists, producers, beatmakers and industry executives to work together.

FIRST TIME MUSIC CREATORS

Annabelle participated in our Digital Industry Program in partnership with Hire LA's Youth. She sees herself as a videographer and feels she can express herself through music. Annabelle shared her personal growth over the course of her time with us below.

"I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and my interests lie in drawing, animation, writing and music. I've written a couple of songs here and there, what I'm mostly experienced with is singing. I've been working on my voice for some time and have recorded some covers prior to the program."

"My favorite part about the whole process was not only being able to work with other people but like the more hands the merrier because like if we were to do this on our own I feel like I wouldn't have been able to do this at all. 'Cause I can't even think of anything but like when we all did it we started from scratch and we just... I don't know. What I'm trying to say here is that we all worked together better. So, this was a really cool journey."
