Solo! Brotherly Love
Just last week we had a few youth getting their feet wet with the drums with their peers assisting them. Not only have they improved but they have built enough skill and confidence for solos!

This week I think the fellas realized two is better than one…especially on the same instrument! Here are two gentlemen working together, feeding off one another!

Switch Gears! Open Invitation

N4N was kind enough to provide us with analog emulation plugins. The youth were explained both their origins and applications, adding warm, crisp flavor to our final mixes. Together, the next generation learned the magic in the “old school” sound.

Friday, Boys and Girls Club Greater Washington held an event in Virginia. It took place at a beautiful park and was a great opportunity to network with other club staff in our region.

Down to a Science

This week I co hosted a science workshop to reintroduce myself to the 1-5th graders and recruit for the studio. We used baking soda to create a chemical reaction and blow up balloons. Fun and educational.

Hey Yuri!
Yuri Lions is one of our youth that frequents the studio and has been a major contributor to the Black Keys. She has been chosen to participate in Take Note and experienced her first interview as artist! Look forward to seeing more of her and her work.
