Mahalia introduced me to “Good little girl” a song written by singer songwriter Rebecca Black as a way for her to learn ukulele. After some trial and error, and nearly being discouraged from learning, I encouraged Mahalia to sing the song and have some of the youth accompany her. Accompanying her on the son were Jay Racks on guitar and Nayja on the drums.

Julian has always been amazing on the drums but needed more practice with his drum brakes. With advice from me and Program Director “Tim” we were able to help him on his timing for the drumset. In this video you can see Julian practicing “10 AM Automatic” by The Black Keys.
