Speaking of that talent show, Helping OurPeopleEvolveorganizationhosted a community talent show at our Boys andGirlsClubonSaturday,April26th.
Talent from all over the community were invited to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Our very own, Zia, entered the talent show and left with the 2nd Place prize of $1500! Shesangalloriginalsongs.
Recently, I’ve been very intentional about more teen programming inside the studio. With more teens frequenting the studio weekly, not only are new teens discovering their love for music, returning teens (who used to be preps or juniors) are rediscovering their love for music. Like Mekhi, who has been a club member since hewas5.Herecentlyparticipatedinoneof my teen programs and fell in love with the artofwritingagain.
