Rising producer and engineer Larena makes her return to the studio to dust off her skills and start cooking up a new beat. I was creating a beat when Derrick ran into the vocal booth and yelled “Get me on the beat!”. We then recorded an improvised verse where he freestyled about being so excited to be in the studio that he didn’t want to go home. Spontaneous performances like this can lead to greatmusicalmoments!
