Nō Studios is thrilled to partner with The Marcus Performing Arts Center and NYC’s Joyce Theater to bring Dance Fest 2025 to Milwaukee. The combined performance is curated by Morgan Williams.
Dance Fest is now a national experience featuring Milwaukee area dance companies alongside important companies from Madison, Detroit, Chicago, New York and Missouri Ailey II will headline the program The combined performance is offered at an accessible price in order to bring dance to audiences that might not otherwise encounter it.
This year, we are organizing a full day if family friendly activities including guided yoga, a vendors market, live music, dance lessons and conversations with participating company artistic directors.

Nō Studios derives from the word play between a rejection artists are so often told, with, nō 能, the Sino-Japanese root word for "skill" or "talent". Founded by Oscar winner and Milwaukee native, John Ridley, the desire behind our 40,000 square foot headquarters is to create a collaborative workspace, hybrid experience platform, and social community that offers an environment for artists and activists to come together. Our historic building features offices, coworking space, a state-of-the-art screening room, performance stage, café bar, gallery, and rooftop lounge and deck.

Save the date for the 2025 Dance Fest on Saturday, August 2nd at the Marcus Center Peck Pavilion. Now in its fourth year, Dance Fest has expanded to include premier dance companies from across the country alongside Wisconsin-based programs. Featuring a diverse array of genres including contemporary, traditional ballet, African-inspired, salsa, and street dance, this celebrated dance experience brings together exceptional local and national talent. In addition to the combined performance, this all-ages event offers food, a vendor market and live music.
