Electric Jalaba + Janani FX

A stunning live act – Electric Jalaba began their journey exploring the entrancing overlap between electronic dance music and traditional Moroccan gnawa. The band have since found their own hypnotising, electrifying and floor-filling sound.

Don Letts + Anthropologist

Don Letts’ came to notoriety in the late 70’s as the DJ that single handedly turned a whole generation of punks onto reggae, as the DJ at The Roxy Club (the UK’s first live punk rock venue) with his ‘punkyreggae party’ and as the original Clash DJ for many of their live gigs up and down the country.

Round Midnight presents Florence Adooni + DJ Sure D

Florence Adooni combines the meandering melodies of the Frafra gospel of northern Ghana with the high-life rhythm of the southern Ashanti traditions, creating music that is infectiously optimistic and uniquely ebullient.

Murmurations are a folk-inspired musical flock, from Norwich, combining Irish Bouzouki, mandolin, cello, flute and harmonium with intimate storytelling and sweet harmonies.

A tribute to the legacy and music of the legendary Albert Cooper, showcasing the songs he played most and loved best.

Rainbow Girls are a three-piece singing group from the North Bay area of California, described as ‘a gang of sweet angels punching you in the heart’.

Alan Sparhawk (of Low) + support

Alan Sparhawk has always been a prolific, restless soul eager to explore unfamiliar sonic and psychic terrain. Though he’s obviously (and justifiably) best-known for his thirty years as frontman of the legendary band Low, a look at Sparhawk’s many side projects shows him experimenting with everything from punk and funk to production work and improvisation.

Emerging from Chicago’s renowned improvised music scene, Kahil El’Zabar explores the connections between African-American music, like jazz, with more traditional African instrumentation and rhythms.
