Situated on the Great West Road, Brentford, West London, our flagship opened its doors in August 2016. GWR Kia is a 41,000sqft dealership split into four floors including a multilevel showroom. The highly visible site takes centre stage on the M4 elevated section, which is one of Britain’s busiest commuter roads.

The top floor features a stunning, entirely glass façade showcasing the latest Kia models and also includes a 17x4 metre LED display screen.

The ground floor has over 750m² of space and hosts the entire Kia product range, for customers to view and test drive. The café, open to the public, is also located on the ground floor, with seating for over 40 people and is a great space for local businesses to drop by when considering a new fleet deal. Used cars are housed on the 450m² first floor showroom, where customers are able to view the full range of stock both inside and out.

The lower ground floor of GWR Kia boasts

seven service and two MOT bays, with space to expand to 15 bays, making GWR Kia a one-stop shop for all things Kia. We take pride in the level of sustainability at the site, with the energy strategy including low and zero carbon technologies, comprising air source heat pumps, roof mounted solar PVs, water harvesting and LED lights.

Our dealership is managed by Norton Way Group, a car dealership group formed by a management buyout in 1989. Since that time, Managing Director David Grainger, has helped build a portfolio of sites which includes five Letchworth based dealerships. The dealership range consist of manufacturers such as Nissan, Mazda, Honda Cars and Bikes, the first ever Honda UK brand centre located in Chiswick and a specialist Corporate Centre in Bedfordshire. The Group is now controlled by Marubeni Corporation subsidiary, Marubeni Auto Investment (UK) Limited.

KIA STINGER A picture says a thousand words. Kia are on a mission to change people’s perception of the brand, steering away from being more than just a reliable family car manufacturer.

Employing Peter Schreyer as chief of design has certainly shaken things up with the new Stinger GT - a car built to rival the likes of the big German sports tourers such as the BMW 4series Gran Coupe.

Kia stole Schreyer, (the man behind the Audi TT and the new VW Beetle) away from the Volkswagen group in 2006.

Since then he’s designed the current Kia family cars and is responsible for the new “tiger-nose” grille.

The new Stinger GT made a lasting impression at the North American International Auto Show back in January on its world debut, picking up two awards. Cars.com named it best in show for its combination of luxury and performance in a sports sedan. Also awarded was the EyesOn Design Award for production car design excellence.

STUNNING ON THE OUTSIDE

The exterior is fast and sleek with strong rear wheel drive proportions and exudes disarming confidence. Longer and wider than a BMW 4 series Gran Coupe, with a longer wheelbase than the Lexus GS. NEW KIA PICANTO ARRIVING IN 2017 The new model promises a range of new smart technologies as well as a bigger and more practical interior. The super mini will be offered with three engines including a 1.0 litre turbo for the first time. The body is now stronger and lighter than before, supported by six airbags as well a range of active safety features.

For the first time, the range will feature a new GT-line spec, inspired by the high performance Stinger GT and will feature red, black and silver highlights.

THE MYSTERY SUV? It’s been revealed that October will see the release of an All-new SUV. The name of it? No one knows - yet. What does it look like? Yep, you guessed it, no one knows. It’s thought that it’ll be built to rival the likes of the Juke with a price tag in the region of £14,000.

Michael Cole, chief operating officer of Kia Europe, has admitted to Auto Express: “We are studying it and if there were to be a crossover it would not be a derivative of Rio. It would be

its own product. I won’t confirm what is likely to happen, but if we are to see one, it’ll be its own crossover B-segment (supermini) vehicle.”

Cole explained that the brand has observed the influx of small crossovers to the market with interest. He continued: “It is such an important segment. You look at what others are doing and how it can be a good brand builder car. Arguably the best brand building car we have had in the past five years is Sportage. “So having a younger brother to that car in the B-segment would be a really good fit for Kia given that we have a bit of heritage for SUV products. If we were to do it, we think it would be an important brand builder as well as offering a volume opportunity in a growing segment.”

1991 UK DEBUT

Kia made its debut in the UK in 1991 with one model – the Kia Pride hatchback.

In its first year, Kia sold just under 1,800 cars. The manufacturer now averages that every fortnight.

1995

The Sportage is launched. Now in its fourth generation, its Kia UK’s secondbest selling model, with 140,000 sold.

Kia UK’s 25th Kia has recently celebrated its 25th UK anniversary since it began trading in 1991. Over this time Kia has sold over 760,500 vehicles, but 44% of those sales coming in the last five years showing how the manufacturer has really grown in popularity.

The dealership network has now grown to 188 outlets, with its latest addition being our dealership in August – GWR Kia. “Kia has been on quite a journey,” said Kia Motors UK president and CEO Paul Philpott. “We’ve grown from a relatively small importer to challenging the best and most established brands in the industry.

We have a fantastic and ever-growing range.

In 2016 and 2017 we’re launching 14 new and face-lifted cars. Kia will not rest on its laurels for the next 25 years.”
