Opening in 2024, the Svart Hotel is a true celebration of nature, responsible luxury and the local environment. With the aim of becoming the world’s first energy-positive, zero-waste resort within five years of opening, the Svart Hotel demonstrates how guests can contribute to a sustainable future without sacrificing luxury. Built from prefabricated capsules balanced on stilts, the glass-fronted doughnutshaped building sits just above the Arctic Circle, close to both the Bodø and Lofoten archipelago. Here, endless summer days offer opportunities for Polar activities such as hiking and ice climbing, while winter brings night fishing opportunities and the natural phenomena of the aurora borealis.
