The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of human life and to helping all people realize their fullest potential. Youth Development The Y nurtures the potential of every child and teen by supporting their unique youth development journey through holistic programming. From cradle to career, the Y provides all youth with the tools and resources they need to succeed in life.

Healthy Living The Y aims to improve the nation's health and well-being by providing programs and activities that promote wellness, reduce risk for disease and help others reclaim their health. These programs and everything else the Y does are in service of making us—our Ys and our communities—better. The result is a country that values health and communities that support healthy choices.

Social Responsibility We know that when we work together, we move individuals, families and communities forward.

The Y responds to society’s most pressing needs by developing innovative, community-based solutions to help those in need to reach their full potential. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

We’re more than a gym.

Nurturing the potential of every child and teen.

Our pre-school programs are designed to enrich and expose your child to a fun and safe environment. By offering age-appropriate activities, children develop academically, grow socially, master skills, make friends and become comfortable in a class room setting. Our nurturing and dedicated staff members focus on building strong character and life-long skills.

Programs run from January 7-May 24. Classes can be joined anytime as long as space is available.

Move & Groove (for children ages 12-35 months old) Get ready to Boogie! Finally a dance class where you get to dance with your child. Partner with your child in a variety of fun, exciting dances as you spend quality time dancing to the beat. Parent participation is required.

Creative Hands (for children ages 12-35 months old) Let’s get creative together and create a family masterpiece. Engage with your toddler and explore paint, sand, sequins and different forms of art with an instructor to guide you throughout the 45 minutes.

Yoga Story Time (for children ages 3-5 years old) An interactive story time introducing your child to yoga poses. The instructor will read and demonstrate entry level yoga positions for a relaxing and informative work out. Work your brain and your muscles.

Tiny Tumblers (for children ages 3-5 years old) Through music and movement your child will learn the basic fitness and tumbling skills to prepare them for the next level of gymnastics.

Mini Einstein’s (for children ages 4-6 years old) Dive into the world of physics, nature and discovery in this science based programs. Kids will do experiments each week that will teach them about the world around us and how it works.

Mini Sports Maniacs (for children ages 3-5 years old) Children will learn the fundamentals of sports such as soccer, baseball and basketball. All participants should expect an exciting hour outdoors kicking, swinging and shooting the ball.

Spanish Explorers (for children ages 3-5 years old) Give your child the gift of dial language. In this class, your child will learn introductory Spanish such as vocabulary, names, phrases and more through a variety of teaching methods. We use classroom style, games and activities to develop their understanding of the Spanish language.

Little Picassos (for children ages 3-5 years old) Discover art through hands on painting, stories and more. We’ll learn that books, games, songs, and holidays are all great inspirations for artwork. Some classes your child will take home a “refrigerator masterpiece”, other weeks it’s all about exploring the medium.

Little Bookworms (for children ages 3-5 years old) Your child will be introduced to a book and then dive into a project to reinforce concepts from that book. Each session will concentrate on one of four major areas of childhood education: science, math, language and art.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

We’re more than a gym.

Nurturing the potential of every child and teen.

Our youth and teen programs provide a safe and fun place to learn and grow through a variety of activities such as arts, dance, indoor and outdoor activities, team building and self-esteem activities, and more. Our activities focus on developing a youth’s self worth while giving them the opportunity to explore different hobbies and activities. Youth will also build leadership skills and character development.

Programs run from January 7-May 24. Classes can be joined anytime as long as space is available.

Cheerleading (for children ages 5-12 years old) Give your kids something to cheer about! Learn new cheers, cheerleading positions and dance routines. Your child will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and a healthy lifestyle.

Kid Fit (for children ages 6-12 years old) Keep your kids active throughout the school year. This workout will focus on building flexibility, strength and coordination at a young age.

YOUTH & TEEN PROGRAMS Adventure Guides (for children ages 5-13 years old) This is an enriching parent child program designed to help foster a lifetime of understanding, relationship strengthening and compassion between parent and child. Every month, each parent-child pair will have the opportunity to take part in an event hosted by the Y. YMCA Member Fee: $60 per child and $60 per adult Non YMCA Member Fee: $60 per child and $60 per adult Lego Builders (for children ages 5-10 years old) Research shows that children who spend time building with Legos often have better math and science skills.

Share the joy of creating new and exciting Lego masterpieces. Experience fun new games that go along with the building creations.

Homeschool PE & Art (for children ages 5-12 years old) Students will rotate through a variety of physical activity and art mediums. Homeschool Programs at the Y are a great way to work physical activity, arts, and socialization into your home-school curriculum.

ENROLL TODAY! REFUNDS, TRANSFERS OR CANCELLATIONS We are happy to accommodate changes and transfers as long as space is available and your requests are made before the session begins. Once the session begins all refunds, transfers and cancellations will be made effective the first of the following month. Supply and uniform fees are non-refundable after the program begins. Refunds are not given for missed classes. If the YMCA needs to cancel a class we will not provide a refund; however, the cancelled class will be rescheduled.

DROP OFF/PICK UP OPTIONS FOR PRE-SCHOOL AND YOUTH PROGRAMS

Option 1: Drop your child off to Y Playhouse or Youth Zone at least 15 minutes prior to class start time. A YMCA staff person will walk your child to the appropriate class and then walk them back to Y Playhouse/Youth Zone after class. Parents must let us know upon arrival if we will be taking them to their class (available to YMCA members only). Option 2: Drop your child off to the appropriate class and then pick them up when class is over. We can only drop off children to Y Playhouse/Youth Zone that we have picked up. We are asking all parents to pick up their child(ren) on time in order to avoid late fees and/or possible removal from program.

Y Youth Sports allows young people to develop skills and build healthy lifestyles through teamwork, fun and fair play. Our coaches help guide our children through learning the essentials of physical fitness, healthy development, and participation. There are no try-outs in our non-competitive sports program, ensuring that “Everyone Plays, Everyone Wins”. Y Youth Sports are coached by dedicated volunteers and we encourage you to volunteer with your child today!

OUTDOOR SPORTS Practices held during the week and all games on Saturdays at neighboring sports fields. All participants will receive a game jersey with their registration.

We offer personal training and coaching to help you set and meet your specific goas in order to live healthier. Select your favorite trainer, share what your goals are, and allow them to personalize your workout for maximum results.

Also each child will learn proper gym etiquette and rules of the facility. Once you complete the class you will be allowed to work out on the floor while parents are inside the facility!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE Y What better way to celebrate your child's birthday than with a party at the YMCA? We offer use of our rooms along with a YMCA party host to help coordinate your chosen activities. Party times are available Saturdays.

What your party includes: Enthusiastic party host committed to providing a fun entertaining atmosphere for your birthday celebration. We will engage your guests in an energetic activity of your choice and be there to assist you with treats and presents.

BIRTHDAY & POOL PARTIES

POOL PARTIES AT THE Y Cool off over the summer and celebrate your special event with a fun pool party. We offer use of our Multi Purpose Room, tables and chairs and a YMCA party host to help coordinate your chosen activities. Party times are available Saturdays and Sundays.

What your party includes: Semi-private or private pool party throughout the entire duration of your event. Enthusiastic party host committed to providing a fun entertaining atmosphere for your celebration. Certified YMCA lifeguards to ensure your guests are safe and access to lifejackets, locker rooms and tables and chairs.

Each day the YMCA works with our neighbors to ensure everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Thanks to generous donors, we are able to fulfill this mission through low cost programs and direct financial assistance for families in need. One hundred percent of all dollars donated are invested into programs serving children and families in our community.

Generosity toward others is at the core of the Y's existence. It is through the support of our volunteers, that the YMCA is able to give back to the community.
