We Are Christian Founded in 1891 by Swedish Christian immigrants, North Park continues to embody Covenant values and affirmations. Accordingly, we foster respectful discussion and engagement among people of all beliefs.

University Ministries University Ministries provides many welcoming spaces where students can worship together through weekly chapel service and biweekly CollegeLife gatherings, grow together through LifeGroups, and participate in local service via Urban Outreach and international service via Global Partnerships. Students also have opportunities to work toward racial reconciliation and justice through Sankofa.
Crux: First-year discipleship program Incoming students interested in growing their faith while journeying together with like-minded students often choose North Park’s Crux program. During this first, formative year at North Park, students in Crux explore what it means to be a Christian through an immersive experience that includes classes together, collective rhythms of spiritual formation, mentorship from seminary students, and exploration of Chicago.

Hispanic Serving Institution North Park University is proud to be a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), a prestigious federal designation awarded to 600 institutions in the United States. Since receiving the HSI designation in 2020, North Park has remained committed to cultivating a campus community where all students can thrive.
Office of Intercultural Student Affairs The Office of Intercultural Student Affairs seeks to maintain a climate that values diversity through programming, outreach, and support for all members. It also hosts a physical space, the Collaboratory for Urban and Intercultural Learning, where students can study, enjoy a snack, or hang out with other students. It is a space for the entire community.
Cultural Registered Student Organizations North Park sponsors various ethnic, cultural, and special interest clubs, including the Latin American Student Association, the Black Student Union, and Queers and Allies, among others.

Division of Sciences STEM students can acquire new skills on campus in the state-of-the-art Nancy and G. Timothy Johson Center for Science and Community Life, locally around the city, and internationally on study abroad trips. Join faculty in the cadaver lab to study human anatomy or in the woods to collect ticks for Lyme disease research; travel to the Bahamas for hands-on study of marine biology or stay on campus and explore the laser lab.
