

Admitted Student Checklist
Welcome to North Park University!
Your journey as a Viking starts now. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth transition into your first semester. If you have any questions or need assistance, your admissions counselor is here to help.


1. Connect on ZeeMee.
• Join our exclusive ZeeMee group for newly admitted students to learn more about the North Park experience, ask questions, and make new friends. You can also follow our admissions account on Instagram.
2. Apply for financial aid.
• Submit your FAFSA and use North Park’s school code: 001735.
• If you’re not eligible to file a FAFSA and you live in Illinois, you can file the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid
• Illinois residents should file by February 1 for Map Grant eligibility.
• We’ll send you your financial aid package once we receive your FAFSA, Alternative Application, or confirmation that you’re not filing.
3. Make your deposit.
• Submit your $200 tuition deposit to confirm your enrollment. Pay online using your 7-digit NPU ID (it begins with a zero).
• Deposits are refundable until May 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.
4. Activate your account.
• Watch for an email from Information Technology with instructions to set up your North Park account. This gives you access to your North Park email, class registration, housing deposit, and other campus resources. Manage your account here.
5. Take your placement tests.
• Placement exams ensure you’re in the appropriate writing and math courses. Learn more.
6. Attend a Launch Day.
• At Launch Day, you can register for classes, explore resources, learn about financial aid, and more. Register.
7. Arrange your housing or commuting options.
• Living on or off campus? Find out more information.
• Housing applications open on March 1.

8. Pay your first bill.
• Log in to Self-Service to set up bill payments starting in July, once enrolled in classes.
9. Submit your medical forms and health insurance.

• Books: Shop for textbooks at North Park’s online bookstore, or visit Brandel Library for books, research help, and study spaces.
• Fitness: The Helwig Recreation Center is open to all students and offers facilities, programs, and services to help you stay active, manage stress, and build community.
• Campus Safety: North Park University is committed to a safe and secure campus and offers services like the Viking Shuttle, available from 7:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m.
• Parking: Parking permits are available for purchase each academic year beginning in August. First-year residential students are not eligible.
10. RSVP for Threshold, our new student orientation.
• Disability Services
• Financial Aid provides funds to help students and families pay for a college education. Once you complete the FAFSA, North Park will send you a financial aid award package with any scholarships and grants for which you qualify.
