BIKES NNTMA promotes bicycle ridership and accessibility to seasoned cyclists, those new to riding, and everyone in between.

• To celebrate the completion of the East Drain Canal Bike Trail, over 200 neighbors grabbed their bikes, skates and sneakers for the inaugural event dubbed Know Your Spine Trail.

• NNTMA sponsored bike valet service for 234 bikes at local events and fit 409 residents with new, low-cost helmets.

• 50 Bikes for 50 Kids brought together 232 volunteers, scores of businesses, and 50 deserving, local youth for the purpose of building new bikes.

• Bike Doc returned with zeal, fixing 680 bikes for free at schools, community events, and businesses.

• During the annual May is Bike Month campaign, residents and employees logged a total of 60,962 miles in the saddle.

• We converted two parking stalls at the North Natomas Regional Park into a bike corral. A total of 10 racks are included within the new space. Where once two cars could park, 20+ bikes now can!

The North Natomas Flyer Shuttle remains the ideal transportation option for residents who commute downtown during peak weekday hours.

Our clean-fueled neighborhood vehicles continue to offer connections to bus and rail, three position bike racks, free Wi-Fi, and web-tracking.

• The Flyer was boarded 92,530 times.

• Flyer riders avoided driving 424,713 single occupancy vehicle miles.

• 1,085 bikes were carried for multi-modal trips.

NNTMA IN NUMBERS Income

MISSION The North Natomas Transportation Management Association fosters transportation behaviors that enhance placemaking in our community through advocacy, programs, education and services.

Grants

The NNTMA knows that it takes tireless work from dedicated advocates to strengthen our community. We are happy to support initiatives and host programs that improve transportation options throughout North Natomas, and we strive to build partnerships and civic engagement through our innovative programs and projects.

To ensure that we are keeping abreast of community needs, we partner with local representatives, conduct surveys, connect with industry groups, engage with the public through social media, and interact with individuals, businesses and schools in our office and at special events.

NNTMA partners with local schools to promote our Walk & Bike to School initiatives.

• Over 22 percent of the combined student body at six schools walked or wheeled to school each week.

Ordinary Income/Expense CFD Funds

A lifetime of being active begins on the way to school.

• During May is Bike Month, North Natomas schools represented 9 of the top 15 ranked schools in the region, with 53,095 miles logged by 3,441 students.

• Project Ride Smart taught 498 fifth graders rules of the road through hands-on street rides.

• Bike Tech taught high school students bike repair basics, preparing them for related careers.

e are committed to providing our community with meaningful transportation options and strive to make North Natomas the gold standard in sustainability and transportation. To reach this goal, we are engaged in a number of innovative programs. These include bicycle outreach ideas such as: 50 Bikes for 50 Kids, mobile Bike Doc and high school Bike Tech classes. We also run a commuter shuttle service to downtown. We are active in YOUR community and our efforts have proven popular.

Holding ourselves accountable to residents, businesses and government partners takes many different shapes, but one of the most critical is our commitment to practicing fiscal responsibility. This means that each project and service we put forth undergoes strict costbenefit scrutiny and has full approval from our board. We believe that our accomplishments reveal that any money we spend is money well spent.
