BIKES NNTMA promotes bicycle ridership and accessibility to seasoned cyclists, those new to riding, and everyone in between. • To celebrate the completion of the East Drain Canal Bike Trail, over 200 neighbors grabbed their bikes, skates and sneakers for the inaugural event dubbed Know Your Spine Trail. • NNTMA sponsored bike valet service for 234 bikes at local events and fit 409 residents with new, low-cost helmets. • 50 Bikes for 50 Kids brought together 232 volunteers, scores of businesses, and 50 deserving, local youth for the purpose of building new bikes. • Bike Doc returned with zeal, fixing 680 bikes for free at schools, community events, and businesses. • During the annual May is Bike Month campaign, residents and employees logged a total of 60,962 miles in the saddle. • We converted two parking stalls at the North Natomas Regional Park into a bike corral. A total of 10 racks are included within the new space. Where once two cars could park, 20+ bikes now can!
