8th Annual Morrow County Harvest Festival Stonehendge Memorial honored

The 8th Annual Morrow County Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, October 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 101 Olson Road in Boardman, Oregon, and is presented by the SAGE Center. The Morrow County Harvest Festival will be exclusively outdoors and will feature a variety of vendors with high-quality, regionally produced agricultural goods and handmade artisan crafts. Returning this year, Threemile Canyon Farms will provide an opportunity for attendees to “fill-a-bag” full of locally grown produce at the 5th annual ‘Harvest Bounty for Youth in Agriculture’. In exchange for a small donation to a local FFA chapter, you pack a grocery bag full of traditionally grown potatoes or organic onions. The “Kid’s Corner” showcases numerous free youth activities to the public and involve partnerships with organizations like FFA, Oregon Dairy

Women, Morrow County Health District, Boardman Fire Rescue, and more. Returning this year are the mule-drawn wagon rides, face painting by Vivid Imaginations Professional Face Painting, bouncy house sponsored by Boardman Park and Rec, and the beloved pumpkin painting. New this year are the Pinewood Derby Races open for all ages. Visit the SAGE Center on Facebook or our website at www.visitsage.com for official rules. You can purchase a Pinewood Derby Car Kit in The Store at SAGE Center for just $9.00! Sign-ups for the Derby Races start at 10AM with races beginning at 2PM. You must be present to win! The Morrow County Harvest Festival will also have a Spirits Garden hosted by Burnt Field Brewing, serving beer, wine, and cider to those visitors 21 years of age and older, plus live music by Dallin Puzey, a Hermiston native, who writes and preforms his own music—in ad-

dition to playing a variety of familiar folk, country, rock, and pop songs. Activities at the Morrow County Harvest Festival are free for the public to participate in thanks to the generous donations made by: Threemile Canyon Farms, iPro, Lamb Weston, Hanley Energy, Fratelli Development, Academy Mortgage, Wildhorse Resort & Casino, Amazon Web Services, Umatilla Electric Cooperative, Community Counseling Solutions, Calbee, Inland Development Corporation, Roger ’s Toyota, Boardman Foods, Inc., Morrow County Health District, CSS Farms, Boardman Park and Recreation District, Mountain Valley Land Co, Midway Bar & Grill, Sinclair, Doherty & Russell Car Wash, and Mark & Lisa Pratt.
