Rinker Buck Community Night Out An evening with author celebrates OTLD 25th anniversary to thank police and fire
Smell the barbecue a’cookin’? The community turned out to meet and thank Boardman’s first responders and enjoy dinner. Boardman’s Community Night Out was held at City Park on August 29th. This event is for the community to meet, greet and thank local first responders. Hamburgers and hot dogs were cooked by PGE Coyote Springs employees. The hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages and ice cream were provided by the community first respnders. Helping serve the dinner and run the games were the members of Boardman Fire Corps. An ambulance, fire truck and patrol cars were available for kids to inspect. Boardman Park & Rec-
reation District provided their Bouncy House, and there were games for everyone to enjoy as well a special setups for photo opportunities. Child car seat safety inspections were done for all those interested. Public education materials were handed out by Fire Corps members. Thanks to Boardman Police Department, Boardman Rural Fire Protection District, the Boardman ambulance of the Morrow County Health District and Boardman Park & Recreation District for a fun and educational evening!
