Assured Imaging is a mobile mammogram team who comes to the clinic once every two months. This is a wonderful preventative service that all women who are over the age of 40 should get every year. Because of the partnership between Columbia River Community Health Services and Assured Imaging we are able to offer our patients this service locally. It reduces the travel time and cost for many in the area. They were able to perform 23 mammograms in April and they will be returning on Wednesday June 3rd. They accept all major insurances and will see patients who are uninsured at a reduced cost. We will also be hosting a Migrant & Seasonal Workers Health Fair on Saturday, May 30th from 3-7 p.m. here at Columbia River Community Health Services. We will be providing information from OHDC (Oregon Human Development Corporation) which is a National Farmworker Jobs Program and CRCHS will be handing out information on the different services we offer. Our guests will also have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes. The clinic will be offering the students of our community and surrounding areas free sports physicals for the upcoming school year. The physical exams will
be held every Wednesday during the month of August with the dates being the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. Students will need to bring in their school paperwork with a parent’s signature and wear shorts or sweats. No jeans please. The student’s immunization record will be reviewed at the appointment and any needed immunizations can be administered with a guardian’s consent if the students’ insurance information is provided. Columbia River Community Health Services also offers a transportation service to our patients
who lack transportation to and from their appointments here at the clinic. Those appointments may include any of our dental services, mammograms or to speak with our promotora and/or our insurance enrollment assister, as well as visit with one of our providers. In the last month alone we transported 28 patients and last year we transported 479 patients total! It is our goal to provide access to high quality primary and preventative health care in our growing community. Contributed by Columbia River Community Health Services.
