Umatilla Landing Days, the Hermiston Variety Show, and the Amboy Territorial Days. The ladies also volunteer their time singing in local assisted living homes. The style of music they perform ranges from 1930’s standards, Big Band Swing music, hits of the 50’s and the 60’s, and popular Contemporary and Country tunes. The band Los Potrillos de Nayarit will perform on July 9th at the Boardman Marina Park, located off of N. Main Street on Marine Drive. This band is a local Norteno (Spanish country) band from Hermiston, OR. Los Potrillos de Nayarit is made up of four members and consists of an accordion, bass, 12 string guitar and drums. They have been playing music at various events for over six years. Their music consists of ballads, true legends and stories from the past both semi slowpaced rhythm and cumbias which are a semi-fast paced rhythm. They are excited and delighted to play for Music in the Parks for the first time. On July 16th at the Irrigon Marina Park, Cruise Control will perform. Cruise Control is a 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s cover band that plays Rock, Pop, and Country Rock music. Together

with their unique blend of voices, they play everything from the hard drivin’ rock and roll to the softer

Cruise Control melodies that bring back the memories of special occasions and invite the listener to reminisce over experiences that used to be so clear. Feel free to tap your toe, dance, or just sing along, whichever makes you happy. From time to time the band provides an open mic for people in the audience to display their talents or fulfill their dream of singing with a rock band. Irrigon Marina Park. The Buttercreek Boys feature Lou Reeves, guitar; Winn Weston, guitar; Curt Claughon, stand-up bass; Rusty Roe, saxophone; and Jim Simpson, banjo and harmonica. In addition, several of the musicians share in the vocals. They also invite the crowd to sing along, if the music moves them.
