Got the Winter doldrums? Join some activities at Boardman Pool & Recreatopm Center There are plenty of reasons to join Boardman Pool & Recreation Center, whether you enjoy exercising alone with a daily lap swim, a walk around the double gymnasium or a turn on a treadmill, but there are groups (instructor led classes) for social interaction while you are benefiting from exercise. Circuit training/Low Impact Aerobics is a Tuesday and Wednesday class from 5:30 to 6:30 pm that is a form of body conditioning and resistant training while using light weights and a series of stations that will target strength building or muscular endurance needed for a healthier body and mind. Low Impact Water Aerobics is a class in the pool each Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 to 9:00 am for easier exercises in the stressfree environment of a warm pool. Medium Impact Water Aerobics helps improve agility, balance, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and relaxation in an environment that is fun and enjoyable. This is beneficial to both physical and mental health. With the use of aquatic equipment you learn to gain strength, tone muscles, increase your range of motion and increase resistance and buoyancy. Open to both men and women of all ages, this class is held Monday and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 am. High Intensity Interval Training (HiiT) is held Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 am and Monday and Thursday 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Zumba (Dance Your Way to Fit-
ness!) is held Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Aqua Zumba is held Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the pool. Other activities happening are Kids Basketball for teaching the youngsters basic skills. These teams are part of the Hermiston Youth Basketball League. All practices are held in the double basketball gymnasium with games held
on Saturdays in Hermiston. This activity goes until February 24th. Group Swim Lessons for all levels of skills will begin again in March. Watch for the flyer announcing signups.
