Kiwanis event Rollin on the River enjoys another success Rollin on the River 2013 was a huge success according to committee members: Mindy Binder, Deanne Irving, Michelle Erickson, Pam Docken, Sandy Toms, John Boufford and Rose Corral. The bands offered a good variety of wonderful tunes; the beer was cold; the wine was yummy; Mother Nature cooperated; the food by Quality Concessions from Heppner was exceptional; and the car show had 44 entries this year. Ranch and Home generously donated a Gun safe for the Kiwanis
to raffle this year, which was won by Andy Schlupe, Jr. New, also this year, was the “NAME OUR LOGO” contest which was won by Cindy Burright with “Rockin’ Rolland”. The participation from the community was wonderful to see and everyone enjoyed the a new addition this year, a real dance floor. The Boardman Kiwanis have hopes this annual event will continue to grow to a point that they will be self-sustaining of the programs they provide annually for the children of our local communities.
