The artist has had three overlapping careers in art. ILLUSTRATION 1976-1996 During these years Myron created hundreds of illustrations for magazines, books, greeting cards, university sports programs, and advertising accounts. TEACHING 1985-2013 Myron taught drawing, painting and illustration in the Communication Art and Design department at the Alexandria Technical and Community College. OIL PAINTING 1990-PRESENT He paints commissioned portraits in his studio or in the client’s home. He has done many public portrait demonstrations. He has studied painting with these excellent artists: Pat Jerde, Richard Whitney, Casey Baugh, Bonita Roberts, and John Howard Sanden. “I am grateful for the unique and personal influence each of these artists have had on my artistic skills,” says Salhberg. Myron is also pursuing the gallery market with paintings similar to his portrait style. These paintings tell stories of people engaged in memorable activities to which the general public can relate. Received the Friends of the Fair Award. 2015 SOLO SHOW, past to present work.Lake Region Arts Council Fergus Falls, MN, April – May 2015. 2015 PUBLIC UNVEILING OF THE VIKING FAMILY OIL PORTRAIT, (6’ x 4’), Runestone Museum, Alexandria, MN, March 20, 2015. The painting depicts a Viking family in the historic eleventh century. This fifteen-month project included research, costume making, painting, and frame design. 2015 ARTIST OPEN SHOW, Yuma Fine Arts Association, Yuma, AZ. Myron and his wife Ellen plan to be in Morrow County October 15, 2016. Various activities for students and community members are planned. Students of Morrow County will have classes start on October 17th. The classes are planned for each school. Evening classes are being planned for our communities. Friday and Saturday, October 21st and 22nd will be all day classes for teaching portrait techniques. A live model will be used during the sessions. Applications for participation will be available at our high schools and libraries for the Friday and Saturday classes. The class size is being limited to 10 people and will take place at Riverside High School on the 21st and 22nd of October. Some funding is being provided by Cultural Coalition of Morrow County.

Developer to begin 240-unit apartments in Boardman Boardman, OR – Developers will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony towards the end of October for a new apartment complex in Boardman, located at 220 NE Columbia Avenue, across the street from Riverview Cemetery. The Port

View Apartments will be a 240-unit complex offering 1 to 3 bedrooms. Developers plan to complete phase I of the project in the summer of 2017. Groundbreaking details to follow.
