2023 FFA Chapter Banquet Held

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of the year. The 2022-2023 FFA Banquet was held on May 3 to recognize the hard work of this year’s members and Alumni, offer a farewell to senior members, and install this year’s incoming officer team. To start the night off, ‘22-’23 President Chase Simmons welcomed guests and members to a meal prepared by Tammy Head, meat donated by Smithfield in Milan, and Chaplain Jacob Daniel did the Invocation. As people entered the Banquet Hall, the gymnasium, they were greeted by a new addition to the usual program. Officers opened up Banquet partnered up to walk-in songs and special handshakes. President Chase Simmons called the meeting hall to order and opening ceremonies were held, 213 members and guests were present. The program was read as follows:

Before the conclusion of the evening, Emma Whitlock asked all senior members to retire their jackets to a person who has impacted them throughout their four years in the Blue Corduroy or someone that they believe will have a bright future in our organization. To all of our senior members, may these past four years have taught you countless lessons and brought you many memories. Thank you to all members and guest who came, we hope this past year has brought you many memories! Special thanks to Tammy Head once again for making a tremendous meal. To the newly installed officers, may you work hard to continuously improve our chapter and encourage our members to be prosperous throughout the next year. And lastly, to our Retiring Officers, thank you for all of your hard work in both your own jacket and that of our area organization.
