C. B. Pittman informed Rotarians of two issues on the upcoming April election ballot. Prop U is a proposal to add a Local Use Tax in Unionville. The local use tax will only apply to purchases made from outof-state vendors. This is the third time Unionville voters have seen this issue; Mayor Pittman said that last time it failed by 6 votes.

The second issue asks Unionville voters to approve $3 million in revenue bonds to improve and upgrade the city’s waterworks and sewerage system. Federal grants are available and the approval of this ballot question will signal the City’s commitment
