LOCAL ELECTIONS 2018 An election is taking place on Lag Be’omer, May 3rd, to elect a local councillor. Last year, Rabbi A Saunders won the first Conservative seat in Kersal in over 2 decades. As a councillor, he has helped many residents and been available to assist local askonim, on an individual and communal level. This year, Ari Leitner is standing for a seat in Salford Council to join Rabbi Saunders. Born and bred in Kersal, Ari Leitner well understands the needs of the growing kehilla, of which he is a life-long member. As a local man, Ari will be a strong voice advocating for the community, increasing the local representation at the Council. It's a clear choice between Jeremy Corbyn’s candidate and Ari Leitner.
