Are you ready for some Football? We’re having a Super Bowl LVIII Party. Bring a dish to share and we will provide the drinks. We will have a few activities going on throughout the game with prizes. Missing out on this would be a personal foul. Look forward to seeing you there!

SPRING FLING SENIOR DANCE

Dance the afternoon away and feel the joy of spring in every step. Dancing is the best medicine for the mind, body, and soul. You will enjoy dancing, socializing, and light refreshments.

LADIES LUNCH

In honor of our senior ladies, we would like you to join us for lunch. You will get to enjoy live entertainment. There will be fun activities as time allows and door prizes! Space is limited and will fill up fast.

ONGOING PROGRAMS BINGO & LUNCHEON

This is a day that we like to make our seniors feel special, so come join us for a delicious lunch, great entertainment, good company, and door prizes! There is limited space, so sign up early.

Registration starts on February 10.

Join your friends or make new ones as you play multiple rounds of bingo and enjoy a catered lunch. Starting in January, participants can win unlimited games by winning bingo bucks for every game won after their first mystery prize and will be eligible for the blackout prize!

And probably chocolate. Though both are valid responses (and we may very well indulge in a sweet treat), this program intends to focus on the topic of healthy human connection. Stories and science overlap during this dynamic presentation to help us better understand the vital role of ‘social fitness’ in our lives (as described in the The Good Life written by Harvard researchers Drs. Robert Waldinger and Marc Schulz).

STOP THE BLEED PRESENTATION Ages 55+ | Presentation by Truman Medical Center Stop The Bleed was developed by several groups and is endorsed by the Department of Defense and the American College of Surgeons. Its primary focus is to teach the public that uncontrolled bleeding is the primary cause of death in traumatic situations (accidental or violent). It is a very informative lecture and hands on where each participant practices tourniquet application and compression/packing of wounds. Participant receives their own Stop The Bleed kit (a value of approximately $50) and is offered at no cost.

FITNESS DRUMMING (SPONSORED BY CCSS) Ages 55+ | Marcia Sign up early so you don’t miss out on this fun workout!

Fitness drumming takes a simple movement - drumming - and turns it into a full-body workout that will leave you smiling, sweating, and feeling great. You don’t need to be a drummer to do it, and even more amazingly, you don’t even need drums! This is a 6-week session.

Ages 55+ | Rachel Kail, Social Gerontologist & Educator This may not be surprising, but research confirms that good relationships are at the core of a good life. For a lot of people, understanding and accepting that truth comes easier than doing the work of connecting comfortably with others. In this 3-part series, we will tackle some key questions: What does your social fitness look like at this point in your life? Is your social universe feeling complete and well-maintained? Are there skills you might develop to strengthen existing relationships or create new ones?

This educational, fun and interactive training is specifically designed to help you answer these questions. It’s going to be a good time, drawing inspiration from The Good Life written by Drs. Robert Waldinger and Marc Schulz. Lunch will be included.

Elvis: Aloha From Vegas traces the King’s journey through the 70s. SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY…..in this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together at an impromptu happy hour. Over the course of six months, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment - and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new friends.
