Working With: A Relational Practice Speaker: David Malda, GGN Updated Session Description: David's talk will explore the potential of landscapes to connect people to the land and to each other through the land. By focusing on building relationships among people and places that already exist our work can support broader initiatives for belonging rather than simply adding another new thing. This idea of "working with" begins with taking the time and care to understand what is already here, how it came to be the way it is, and then crafting strategies for the future from this foundation. It also directly informs the process of learning and making within GGN. David will share this approach through a series of recent projects.

Updated Speaker: Ryan Torcicollo, SavATree Updated Session Description: This session will provide a comprehensive look at the most frequent lost-time injuries and fatalities in the tree care industry. These examples will be broken down from the point-of-sale to the actual incidents, arriving at a thorough root-cause analysis using the "5 Whys" method. We will discuss everyone’s role from salesperson to worker to display how incidents can be prevented in a team dynamic.
