Students in Sixth Form are encouraged to apply for our Post 16 Bursary which mant students are eligible for. The award can be used to support your studies by funding travel arrangements; interview costs for Year 13 students; equipment such as books or practical materials and technology or anything else to help you succeed. Applications are made in September after you have started with us and are processed following the submission of your form. Payments are made directly to students shortly thereafter. Subject areas will let you know at the start of your course which materials and resources you may need. The award will be based on your family circumstances.
WELL-BEING Sixth Form has an enrichment offer similar to the main school and students are encouraged to get involved in Sport, Extended Project, UCAS and other enrichment sessions that take place at the end of the day. There is a Learning Manager on duty at all times in the Sixth Form area during the day to support you in achieving your targets and assisting in communicating between your teachers and home.
FACILITIES We have a dedicated Sixth Form study and social area which is exclusively for the use of Year 12 and Year 13. With a dedicated lunch and break time area, sixth formers are separate from the rest of the school at social times.
