publisher’s note

Mothers & May Flowers First off, May 8th is Mother’s Day, so happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there and especially to my mom, AKA Mary, AKA Mama Bear. Everyone who knows me knows that I am a mama’s boy and am dang proud of it!

about reaping and sowing. I believe the seasons of weather are a beautiful picture of the seasons of our life. There are seasons in life where we are doing a lot of sowing, and then there are seasons where we are reaping what we have sowed. It is so important that we understand this process, and depending on our level of intentionality and how well we sow, will directly depend on the type of harvest that we reap.

It makes sense to me that the month of May would be the month that we celebrate Mother’s Day as May is a beautiful month when the grass, trees, plants, and flowers are starting to fully blossom. As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers.” Many of the beautiful parts about who we are as individuals are because of what our mothers have poured into us over the course of our lives. Much of the “fruit” that we bear in our life is because of our mothers. I guess now that I think about it, with this analogy, maybe April would be a better month for Mother’s Day. Nevertheless, I digress. It works both ways. You understand what I am getting at.

If we are not experiencing the harvest in our lives that we would like, then this is a great opportunity to pause and take a moment to reflect on the type of sowing that you have been doing. What we reap today is often from the thoughts and actions from months or even years ago ... everything from the books we read, the TV shows we watch, actions we do or do not take, and, arguably most importantly, the type of people we spend time with.

As I think about the seasons and this time of year, I think

10 • May 2022

All the things that we allow to pour into our minds and our life will eventually bear fruit. Everything from our health, relationships, business, and finances. Whether that be good or bad, it is from what we have been sowing. As we move into May, I encourage you to take a look at the flowers of your life, and if you do not like the way that some of them look, then maybe it is a great time to make some changes in what we are sowing. To all the mothers who have sowed seeds of greatness into us … cheers to you! JORDAN ESPESETH Owner jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com

FAQ ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE

Real Producers magazine started in Indianapolis in 2015 and is now in over 100 markets across the nation and continues to spread rapidly. Real Producers first launched in DFW in August 2018 with North DFW Real Producers (now called “North Dallas”). In May 2019, Dallas Real Producers launched and then Tarrant Real Producers in March of 2021. In 2022, Tarrant Real Producers split into two publications, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers will go to print later this year. Q: WHO RECEIVES Real Producers MAGAZINE? A: The top 500 real estate agents in each of the four markets in DFW based on their MLS production for the previous year. Refer to the map in this publication for the exact territories. If your broker address is within that given territory, and you are in the top 500, you will receive that publication for the year. There are approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW. The list will reset at the end of every year and continue to update annually. Q: WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS MAGAZINE? A: We believe that we are better together. When we surround ourselves with other successful, like-minded people, we grow to new heights. Real Producers is a platform that brings together the most elite individuals in DFW real estate. We take the top 500 real estate agents and RP vetted businesses in every market, and we build an exclusive community around that group. We share their stories, successes, market trends, upcoming events — really, anything that will connect, inform and inspire, we put in our monthly publication. Q: DOES REAL PRODUCERS HAVE EVENTS? A: Yes! Each community will have two main events a year, and then we do a combined event at the end of the year, which is an awards gala called The ESPES. For these events, we invite the top 500 real estate agents and our RP Vetted Businesses. Top 500 agents are allowed to invite members on their team as well. These events are an incredible opportunity to connect with the best of the best in DFW real estate. It is amazing to see the power realproducersmag.com

in the connections made at these events. Be on the lookout for your exclusive invites! Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE? A: It’s really simple. You have to be on the top 500 list, and we take nominations seriously. You can nominate other real estate agents, businesses, brokers, owners, or even yourself! Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone brought to our attention who is in the top 500 because we don’t know everyone’s story, so we need your help to learn about them. We cannot guarantee a feature, but to increase your chances, we encourage you to meet with one of our team members, support Real Producers, and attend our private events. You can email your nominations to jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. Q: WHAT DOES IT COST A REAL ESTATE AGENT/TEAM TO BE FEATURED? A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. It costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-to-play model. We share real stories of Real Producers. Q: WHO IS THE RP VETTED BUSINESSES? A: They are one of the best businesses in DFW in their category, and you can find them listed in our index! We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One of many of the top real estate agents has recommended every single business you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. Our team will further vet every business to ensure they are a good fit and bring value to our community. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network, not only for the best real estate agents in the area but the best businesses, as well, so we can grow stronger together. Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A BUSINESS? A: If you know and want to recommend a business that works with top real estate agents, please email us to let us know at jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. North Fort Worth Real Producers • 17

Daniell e D oy le FUTURE FOCUS

20 • May 2022

@realproducers

The actions each of us take today can be rewarding. But are they steps that are temporary, or do they carry a long-term impact on ourselves and those around us? As a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Southlake, Danielle carries a strong future focus for those around her … wanting to make sure that the steps she takes today will pay dividends in the future. “I love that I’m building relationships every day and walking people through one of the significant transactions of their lives. They all become friends and some feel like family. I get to share memories with them,” Danielle explains. “The other really wonderful thing about real estate is that it’s not just about selling a house. It’s helping people build wealth and a future. You’re helping them invest in building a complete future for their families. It’s a big thing. I like showing people that they are capable and that they can have their dreams.” First Steps in Life

Danielle grew up in Hawkins, Texas. She faced pivotal and life-forming events during that time.

The other really wonderful thing about real estate is that it’s not just about selling a house. It’s helping people build wealth and a f u t u r e . Yo u ’ r e h e l p i n g t h e m invest in building a complete future for their families.

“My dad was a master architect and welder. He was a diabetic, and he passed when I was just six years old. I remember that he and I used to draw houses together,” she says. “My mom had cancer at the same time he had diabetes. After he passed, it was just me and my mom. We didn’t have much. I was determined to be someone to help people.” Making Her Way

As Danielle grew, she earned two scholarships in academics and in volleyball. At first, she decided to major in pre-med as seeing sickness was a firsthand event for her.

“Then I learned that I was a little too empathetic. So, I changed majors and wound up in seminary at a bible college where I majored in theology, pastoral leadership, and counseling,” she says.

units, representing $12 million in sales volume. With charity and giving so dear to her heart, she had found the business to now make helping people possible again for life, while taking care of her family. “Whether it’s supporting a friend’s kid in school, paying for someone’s groceries without telling them your name, or giving to a fundraiser, I want to be able to do it. I think the lesson in life is to learn to love, give freely, and work hard. I want to live a life with actions louder than words,” Danielle says. Cherished Life

“I had a big heart for the world and started traveling and doing missionary work. I lived in Germany, and England, and worked with European Initiative out of Gateway to help people. We spent time with the homeless, orphans, drug addicts, and it’s what makes me feel alive, to love people. Then I came back and realized that the best way to help people was through business, so I started working toward opening my own business.”

Starting a New Journey

Family makes Danielle’s life much richer. She cherishes time with her mother, Sherry, and her two sons — 6-year-old Abel and 5-year-old John. Danielle says, “These kids are my world. This is one of the reasons I understand the importance of a home; it is the one place we all come back to at the end of each day, our refuge. I get to help people find that — how amazing is that!”

Creativity and Innovation

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation was founded in 1996 by CEO Steve Jacobson and a creative team of innovative partners.

That’s why it means so much when you have a partner who has the same approach. That’s what you experience when you and your clients work with Anginette Cells Jorrey and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation.

“Since opening our doors 25 years ago, our team has helped thousands of Americans achieve their dream of homeownership. We have not only been dedicated to providing unparalleled customer service, but also to growing continuously,” Anginette says.

“Changing people’s lives for the better is what I love. It is more than just closing a loan. This is a given, it is my job … it’s what I do … it’s what people expect. But how I accomplish this task and why I do this every day is just as important,” Anginette says.

“Fairway has more than 10,000 team members with more than 3,000 producers in more than 690 branch and satellite locations nationwide. With a strong focus on purchase business, we continue to grow each year, funding over $65.8 billion in 2020.”

“Respect, gratitude, and honesty … is what I expect of myself and each member on the team with every client and referring partner. Honesty can be the hardest for a client to receive and accept when it means they cannot qualify for a home loan now. Giving them the respect they deserve and helping them establish a game plan to qualify in the future empowers them to accomplish the dream of homeownership one day.”

As Anginette says, she found Fairway over ten years ago. When you talk with her, it’s easy to see that she loves her work and where she does it.

Passion for What She Does

“I began my mortgage career unexpectedly right out of school. Answered an ad in the newspaper. I had just moved to the Dallas area from Austin, Texas and needed a job. I have worked for a few mortgage companies but have found my forever home,” Anginette emphasizes.

@realproducers

“With over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, I have learned a lot about change and myself. Change is inevitable and being flexible to move with it, move quickly, and learn is vital to longevity.” As Anginette says, she applies what she has learned throughout her life to her business. “It’s how I approach my work and people. I mean what I say and follow through, stay on target with their goals and my goals in helping others, understanding I am helping a borrower accomplish the dream of owning their own home; maybe for the first time … maybe the first one in their family,” she says. “My joy comes from borrowers understanding what they can about the

And I’m blessed to still have my parents right now. I love my family. God is first, then family. I am Anginette to my husband, Mark, of almost 19 years, Mommy to Lucy (my bird dog), and “Bunny” to our three girls (Megan, Shannon, and Erin) and eight grandkids, ages from 3 to 12,” she says. “I am blessed with a loving husband and partner in life who gives me a long tether to be myself yet reels me in before I hit the outer limits. Andrea Matteucci is the owner of Loveria Caffe with his wife, Stefania, and their friend, Michelle Rawls. He smiles as he talks about his establishment and the love he has for serving visitors with love and quality.

“We are always enjoying building and working with this fantastic community. The community helped us survive through the pandemic. It is a very loyal and friendly community. In fact, we have many customers who have come once a week since we opened.”

“In the area of Italy I came from, the word Loveria means something yummy and irresistible,” he says.

Family Atmosphere

A Culinary Adventure

When you visit Loveria Caffe, you are in for a culinary adventure. “At our restaurant, we are proud to say that our recipes come from Italy and are authentic. Since the beginning, we are very authentic. In our lasagna, we use spinach pasta that we import from Italy. It’s lighter than the Americanized version. It’s the same for all the recipes. We import a lot of our food from Italy,” Andrea says. “We work with eight suppliers … all the recipes are what you find in Italy, and the same goes for our wines. We have more than 120 different wines from Italy. We deliver an authentic and unique experience.” Always Fresh

Those who visit Loveria Caffe are always in for a fresh, new experience. In addition to client favorites, Andrea and his team are always working on making continuous updates. “I love working with our chef on new recipes and new dishes. We like meeting our customers and let them taste new wines ... and being part of the community,” he points out.

One of the pure joys of Andrea’s work is the team of 20 talented people on his team. “We have a very loyal team,” he smiles. “We love saying that we are a small family. We support each other. As owners, we try to help them as much as we can.” As Andrea reflects on the success of his restaurant, he feels a deep gratitude for what he does and where he does it. “It means a lot to us to know that our clients really feel comfortable here … it’s a big compliment to us when they tell us that they don’t feel like they’re in a restaurant and that they feel at ease asking for something special when they’re here,” he says with a warm smile. “They are loyal because we provide the best service we can with the top-quality organic, fresh ingredients and we make things from scratch.” Contact Loveria Caffe Today! www.LoveriaCaffe.com

ROBERT ROBERT ROBERT CLAYTON CLAYTON CLAYTON CLAYTON CLAYTON CLAYTON CLAYTON STRAIGHT-AHEAD DRIVE

Throughout his life, Robert Clayton has demonstrated the power of taking a direct line toward the milestones in front of him.

Today, Robert helps his clients and team members move ahead as an agent of Clayton & Clayton Real Estate.

“I love the connection with people. There’s something special about connecting with clients and making their dreams come true. You’re getting the biggest asset of their lives,” Robert says.

“If it’s a first-time homebuyer, or not, it’s an incredible experience for me to help them, and it’s a great outlet for my competitive side because I am always pushing myself to be better.”

PURSUING HIS BEST WITH PASSION

That will, passion, and straight-ahead drive is something Robert honed well before his real estate days — as a very accomplished football player.

As the youngest of five siblings, Robert grew up in Irving before moving to Southlake when he was in middle school. He was a 2000 graduate of Southlake Carroll High School and earned a scholarship to the University of Texas-El Paso,

where he played as an offensive lineman with his older brother, Carey Clayton (who went on to play in the NFL). After winning a championship during his career, Robert graduated with a degree in business management. But his playing days weren’t over.

“After college, I didn’t make it on an NFL roster, but I moved out to Round Rock where my sister lived and approached the Austin Wranglers about playing Arena League football with them,” Robert remembers. “I stopped by the team facility and walked my game tapes in. I was excited that they signed me on the spot. It was my first lesson in taking the bull by the horns.” Along the way, Robert even appeared on the big screen, including in the movie Invincible. After a year of playing for the Wranglers, Robert had a new path in mind. “I decided to hang that up and go full-blown into real estate and got my license in 2005. My grandfather was a homebuilder in Irving,” Robert says. “My dad was a homebuilder in Southlake and had been involved in real estate since the 1970s. Real estate is in my blood.”

WINNING GAME PLAN

Robert’s family had a development in Valley Ranch. He also bought some property and started building his own homes in 2007 and 2008 — right before the economic downturn hit. “That stopped everything,” Robert says. “I dabbled in the financial arena a bit at that time. I knew I didn’t want to build anymore, so I ramped up my residential real estate business.” Today, Robert feels blessed to be able to team up with his father, Arthur, who is Broker of the firm, and his sister, Karen, who is an agent.

Together, they continue to build on their strong reputation for results. “It has been so competitive in the market. We really enjoy being able to give guidance to clients and get them the house they want. Knowing that they trust us is an awesome feeling. It fills my competitive side. I grew up in a locker room with a team, and with a large family, so being able to be around people and help them reach their goals makes me very happy.” THE HEART OF LIFE

WE REALLY ENJOY BEING ABLE TO GIVE GUIDANCE TO CLIENTS AND GET THEM THE HOUSE THEY WANT. KNOWING THAT THEY TRUST US IS AN AWESOME FEELING. IT FILLS MY COMPETITIVE SIDE.

Away from work, Robert is a newlywed who treasures time with his wife, Taylor, who is a teacher and former pro golf player.

Family is at the heart of life for him, including his parents, Arthur and Karen, his sister, Karen Clayton Young, and his brothers, Art, Chris, and Carey. In fact, they all live within about a mile of each other. “My parents have been instrumental in who I am,” he smiles. “We were always taught to do what’s right, and that has had a huge impact on life. They have been very selfless examples for me.” Away from real estate, Robert stays very busy. In fact, five years ago, he purchased a gym. Today as the head of Texan Fitness, he and his team play a key role in helping area athletes grow and develop. “I had a passion for training football players. That’s a real passion project for me. I revamped the gym, and it’s flourishing. When I bought it, we had 54 members, and now Robert with his wife, Taylor we have about 250 members,” Robert says. “I love helping adults and young kids develop, and a few compete nationally, play collegiately, play in the NFL, and possibly the Olympics.”

36 • May 2022

In his free time, Robert has a love for cooking. In fact, it’s not uncommon to find him near his pizza oven in his backyard, entertaining friends. When it comes to giving back, Robert runs some nonprofit organizations, including Dragon Classic, which is an alumni-based golf tournament that gives nearly $100,000 to the district of CISD, as well as Vice Chair of the Carroll Hall of Honor. Those who know Robert count on his relentless pursuit of their goals—with his caring nature and strong, straight-ahead drive. “If I could look back and write my story in high school, I don’t know if I could write a better story,” Robert says with a smile. “I’m very lucky that I get to do what I love.”

ach step forward in life can be accompanied by challenges. The key is finding a way to overcome those hurdles to realize your goals.

That’s an area where Kim Taylor really excels and focuses her time. As a Broker Associate and Team Lead with JPAR, Kim rises to the challenge on behalf of those she works with. “I love the challenge of working with new people

and referrals. When someone refers me and I get to help them, it’s like whipped cream on top of the sundae,” Kim says. “My oldest son’s friends are getting to the age where they are buying homes. I love helping them. It’s such an honor.” Making Her Way Toward Real Estate Prior to earning her real estate license in December 2015, Kim and her husband homeschooled their four children for nine years until 2009. “We put them all in public school when the youngest was in kindergarten. At that time, I started substitute teaching. My husband was in oil and gas and pretty much set me up with my first big interview there.”

and how to write a good offer in a multiple-offer situation,” she says.

“We dodged many layoffs in the late 2000s. One day, we started noticing closed-door meetings again in 2015, and we just had a gut-wrenching feeling that we were both going to get laid off,” she remembers.

“My broker bought a ton of REALTOR.com leads. I did $4.8 million and 28 deals my first year. I loved every minute of it.”

“At the time, he said I think you should get your real estate license. I always loved interior decorating. I always talked with people who had me over to decorate and stage their homes. I thought real estate would be so fun. But I was tied up with the kids, and they were very busy in sports. Fear held me back because I thought I would be gone all the time.” A REMARKABLE START

In time, Kim earned her license and jumped in feet first. To her pleasant surprise, Kim enjoyed a smooth transition. “It was amazing. It felt like I had been doing it for 20 years. I’m a natural with people. You don’t do this work for yourself. You do it for others. Jumping into it was very busy. I had to learn quickly to be a good agent

REWARDING RESULTS

The results of her efforts have been very rewarding. In fact, in 2021, Kim and her team recorded $25 million in sales volume. Beyond the numbers, a big part of the rewards for Kim is having the ability to positively affect the lives of her seven team members. BUILDING INTO OTHERS

On her desk is a sign that reads, “A good leader isn’t defined by how many followers you have but by how many leaders you create.” “I tend to have all new agents on the team. As part of that, I like teaching them how to be a good agent. Our team hashtag is #BetterTogether. I really enjoy doing life with a team of like-minded individuals who are goal-oriented and God-led,” Kim says. “We do things differently. We are led by the Lord on our clients being led to us. We pray before every meeting. We pray for everyone involved with each transaction. The Lord has really blessed us. We give God the glory and go back to him. It’s not about us. It’s about giving back to our community.” WONDERFUL WORLD

Family is at the heart of life for Kim. She treasures time with her husband of 33 years, Gordon, and their four children — 26-year-old Connor, 25-year-old Patrick, 22-year-old Philip, and 18-year-old Abigail. Gordon is on Kim’s team as a licensed REALTOR® and also serves as

Transaction Coordinator. In addition, Connor, works with the team, handling photography of listed properties. In her free time, Kim enjoys gardening, decorating, and helping people make their house a home, as well as boating on Lake Ray Roberts. “We have been in the area for 26 years. You have to be established in an area and be a go-getter and meet people and volunteer. Because people know me and my family, I have a built-in sphere.” Kim has a heart for helping, too. She is very engaged with volunteer activities at Milestone Church in Keller. She also likes to support other organizations, including Northwest ISD, as well as giving to groups that fight human trafficking. That spirit of making a difference transfers directly to her work in real estate. “I love planting seeds and encouraging people to pray about everything. The Lord takes care of me. I’m on this earth for a reason,” Kim says.

Pursuing Impact Your efforts each day are filled with purpose … with the drive to make a difference for those you serve. That’s an area where Beth Brake excels as well. As the Team Leader with the GoalLine Real Estate Team with Keller Williams Dallas Metro North, Beth takes every opportunity to pursue making an impact on those around her.

talked, she introduced me to transaction coordination work, which I ended up doing for a couple of years,” Beth remembers.

Getting Her Start

“I did contract to close work with my friend for a couple of years. Then my husband and dad encouraged me to get my real estate license. They pushed me in a good way. I prayed and felt God’s direction to do this.”

A pivotal meeting with a friend led to her start in the business. “I was in the parking lot of a grocery store and saw a girlfriend. As we

“My language is people. I love my interactions with them. I’m able to engage on a daily basis with all types of people. For our sellers, I know how to help them get top dollar for their home, and as a buyer, I can help them get into something that isn’t going to make them house poor,” Beth says. “We have to be strategic and creative in this market; my clients depend on it!” “And as I grow a team, I see I have the ability to impact their lives with what we’re doing. Through it all, I keep going back to God. He put me in this position. The thing in this market that I love is being able to help someone in my sphere … helping them build wealth. I have such an opportunity to help people make sure they are taking care of one of their biggest investments and positioned to continue to grow their wealth.” Finding Her Path

Beth earned her real estate license in 2015. But her story really got started prior to that with a series of roles — picking up valuable experience and honing the direction she wanted to take in her life. Before real estate, she worked in five different part-time jobs, including as

Diving In

Rewarding Family Life

One of the first things she did was to get into coaching at Keller Williams.

Away from work, Beth embraces her role as a wife and mother. She looks forward to time with her husband, Donnie, their three sons, three daughters-in-law, and her sweet grandson.

“The coach asked me about my goals. I didn’t really have any at the time. He taught me how to set goals, have a business plan, and replace the income I had been getting,” Beth says. “Going from working all those parttime jobs to real estate was a big leap of faith. I trusted the system and process in front of me. I’ve been with Keller Williams all the way through. When I joined, my team lead was my mentor for four years, and that truly changed me. Coaching with her and with another coach, that has been life-changing.”

“Donnie is my biggest supporter and fan. After I had been in the business for a couple of years, he created and joined a group who started a nonprofit in South Sudan,” she says. “As President of the organization, he is the go-to guy. SEA Partners began in 2004 (Sudan Evangelical Alliance Partners) and they have built and operated schools in remote villages of South Sudan. It has been life-changing for them as God has continued to bless GoalLine Real Estate and SEA Partners.”

Successful Teamwork

Today, Beth has four other professionals on her team, including a fulltime Licensed Operations Manager, part-time Marketing Coordinator, a Contract to Close Coordinator, and a full-time Showing Specialist. The results of sustained effort are rewarding, and that definitely holds true for Beth and her team. In fact, in 2021, they recorded $26 million in sales volume, representing 56 transactions.

Her team name was inspired by her children. “All three of our boys played football in high school and college,” she says. “That’s how the GoalLine Real Estate name came into being. I wanted to bring part of my passion for football into my business!” In her free time, Beth enjoys traveling and spending as much time with her

Those who know Beth appreciate her authentic, genuine nature, and the way she takes action to help those she cares about. “I’ve learned to shift my mindset from a sense of scarcity to one of abundance, and that’s where I come from when I work with our clients,” Beth says. “We always want our clients to know they come first, then our team, and then the company.
