trust publisher’s note
First off, I would like to mention that as I am writing this Publisher’s Note, it is eight days before The ESPE’S, and therefore, I currently have nothing to write about in regards to how that event went. Print media takes a little bit of time! We will have the ESPE’S Recap article in the January issue. Last night I was sitting in the sauna at Cowboys Fit, and my mind started to go down the ole’ negative thought train as I started to think about the ESPE’S. My thoughts went something like, “Did I order everything I need? Will it all arrive in time? What if I announce the winner, and they aren’t present? What if it’s 40 degrees and rainy? What if only 50% of the people registered show up? We are way over budget. Oh, shoot. I haven’t prepared my presentation yet…” Yikes. Anyone ever been down one of those rabbit holes? Most likely for me, that was not the first time that had happened that day. However, after a few minutes, I caught myself and I paused. I reminded myself that over the last three years, I have hosted upwards of 30 events and that after every single one of them, I said to myself, “That was an amazing event!” At minimum, I thought, “I am happy with how that went.”
14 • December 2021
So, in the 200-degree heat of the sauna, I thought to myself, “WHY would this event be any different? Sure, it is the biggest event (by about double) that I have ever hosted and is the first time we have ever attempted anything quite like this. But, even so, I have nothing from my past experiences that have provided any evidence that this event won’t be a massive success.” And, with that thought, I relaxed. My mind settled, and I felt a sense of assurance come over me. I am going to be okay. What a good reminder for us all. No matter what we are going through in life … a relationship change, financial hardship, health issue (or hosting a big awards gala) … remember that after all you have been through, you are still here. You are okay. And whatever you are facing right now shall pass. So, relax. Feel the sense of peace and calm assurance come over you. Have faith. Trust. See you next year, y’all! There are some parallels between Steve Bloomquist in the cockpit of his private airplane and in a home working with his clients. In both cases, Steve combines his experience, expertise, and steady hand to reach the destination ahead for a wide range of clients including residential, commercial, and aviation community property owners. Above and Beyond
Known as the Texas Flying REALTOR® with Fathom Realty, Steve gives his best each day. In the process, he elevates the profession. “I’ve always been a private pilot. Back in the beginning days of my real estate career, I was looking for a reason to get off work and go flying,” Steve says. “So, I decided to incorporate my niche and my love of flying and decided to call myself the Texas Flying REALTOR®.” Today, about 50 percent of Steve’s business involves work with communities that have an airstrip. The other half of his business comes through his regular sphere of influence. “I live in Pecan Plantation, just Southwest of Fort Worth, and I work all of North Texas. There are several of these aviation communities that I market and sell to,” Steve says. “I am proud to be one of the main resources for that type of real estate, though that’s just part of what I do. It has allowed me to fly and call it work.”

A New Door Opens
Steve first earned his real estate license 21 years ago. “When I purchased my first house back in the 1990s, I didn’t have a fun experience. I felt like I was taken advantage of in a few different ways through that process,” he remembers. “I hoped no one else would have to go through that. I thought if I ever become a real estate agent, I’ll make sure that my clients never would have to experience anything like that. I just wanted to do something completely different.”
As he says, “I never retrace my footsteps from the day before. I’m out being productive. I never know what I’m going to be doing day to day. On any given day, I could be working with a residential, farm/ranch, or commercial property.” Through time, Steve continues to build on his reputation for results, consistently ranking as a Top Producer at Fathom Realty. Life’s Highlights
Away from work, Steve treasures time with family, including his wife, Mary Jo, and his children and grandchildren.
Comprehensive Work
“
In his free time, Steve enjoys his membership in the local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) — Chapter 983.
“
Variety is one of the most rewarding qualities of real estate for Steve.
I’VE ALWAYS BEEN A PRIVATE PILOT. BACK IN THE BEGINNING DAYS OF MY REAL ESTATE CAREER, I WAS LOOKING FOR A REASON TO GET OFF WORK AND GO FLYING.

He also has a passion for fishing, spending time at the beach, visiting friends, and of course, flying. When you talk with Steve, it’s easy to see his straightforward, caring brand of service. “I don’t ever want to hard-sell anyone. I’m here to put my clients’ interests first and to help them reach their goals,” he says with a smile. Congratulations to this month’s Rising Star, Steve Bloomquist. Through time, he delivers his all-in approach to each of his clients … in the process elevating the profession.

When it comes to helping your clients achieve their real estate dreams, the value of working with a local resource is real. Leading the Way
Two men who are the faces of that local difference with Willow Bend Mortgage are Dan Carson, who serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Mortgage Loan Originator, and Chad Stansell, Residential Mortgage Loan Originator. Meeting the Need
It’s no secret that challenging market conditions

complicate the process for you and your clients. But Willow Bend Mortgage continuously looks to ease the way for its real estate partners and clients.
“With the Dallas inventory issues that exist, we’ve done things to help our offers with clients be more competitive,” Dan explains. “We’re pre-approving all files up front, and we’re basically managing the clients to have a full approval before they get under contract. We also have an in-house renovation and construction program. In addition, we have expanded our efforts and products for non-traditional clients who are self-employed. There aren’t many loans that we can’t do.” Dan points out that about 30 percent of local buyers are Spanish-speaking only. With that in mind, Willow Bend Mortgage has added Spanish-speaking staff.
Dan Carson
That’s just part of the expansion story. “We have doubled in staff. We’ve hired additional loan officers and brought more operations in-house so you get consistency with who you deal with. We’ve streamlined our processes to help our partners manage the business, so that the business doesn’t manage them,” Dan says. Success through Solutions
As Chad says, Willow Bend Mortgage is active in bringing solutions to their REALTOR® partners. “Through the process of working with salespeople, they have a lead or opportunity that comes through various channels. We really prioritize, follow up, and stay in touch with those leads,” Chad points out. “We will talk with a partner to bring qualified leads back to them. In that way, we are able to help REALTORS® do more deals simply by helping them do more with the leads they have.” Chad Stansell

Willow Bend Mortgage has been there for its REALTOR® partners and clients throughout this hectic year. In fact, the group is on pace to record $500 million in production in 2021. “We’re just trying to stay enterprising to be the best we can,” Dan explains. “COVID has been difficult. A lot of companies got backed up on refinances and forgot about new business. However, we have maintained our focus on our purchase business first. As part of that, we maintain competitive 24 to 48-hour underwriting and our average closing timeframe is 30 days.” Innovation at Work
Dan explains that one of the consistent hurdles that exists today comes down to the appraisal process. “We do the full pre-approval process upfront. If clients are doing a conventional loan, they could potentially waive the appraisal,” Dan says. “With the rising prices, there’s a lot that goes into writing these offers. Many times we are able to compete with cash buyers because of the work we do upfront.” When you talk with Dan and Chad, it’s easy to see the pride they have in their team members. “Our success isn’t just us. It’s about all of our team members … from the front desk to our entire team. We really work for all of them. That mindset and support model is what separates us from a lot of
people,” Dan says. “We’re in the game with them. We feel the same pain they feel. We support our team members with one-onone coaching and business planning to give them support and ideas.” Rewarding Lives
Away from work, family is at the heart of life for Dan and Chad. Each of the men are married with two children. Their children play sports together, and their wives are even teamed up in tennis. “Chad is like my brother,” Dan smiles. “We spend so much time together. Some people call us the Mortgage Bros. It’s really a unique working relationship we have. MAKING A TANGIBLE DIFFERENCE Each day, the work you do with your clients makes an impact that will be felt by a family for years to come. Your contributions make a tangible difference. In the same way, when you work with New View Roofing, you and your clients experience a real tangible difference. Nick Royer is owner of New View Roofing. Each day, Nick and his partner, Mike Gibson, are committed to ensuring that only the best goes into each job. Nick remembers the start he, and Mike, had in the business. “We had an opportunity to work for another roofing company when we first moved to Dallas eight years ago,” Nick recalls. 42 • December 2021

“We worked for them and there were some things that aligned with our mindset and morals. We also learned from mistakes they made. After a short time, we felt we were ready to branch off and start our own business.” Growth Through Excellence
Nick and Mike came to a basic conclusion and approach to the future they wanted to build. “We knew that the people of Dallas didn’t need another roofing company. They just needed a better one,” he says. “And we’ve done everything possible to make that happen.” Through time, New View Roofing continues to experience success in the form of more business and growth to other markets and states, including Austin, Texas; Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Cleveland, Ohio.
“IN THE PROCESS, OUR CUSTOMERS ARE ALL FAMILY. AND WITH OUR REAL ESTATE PARTNERS, WE DO WHATEVER WE CAN TO WORK WITH THEIR SCHEDULES TO MAKE IT CONVENIENT FOR THEM.” realproducersmag.com
“It’s exciting to see the growth for the company and the demand for a quality roofer. It gives us the opportunity to continue to increase our service and hold our crews accountable to perform with the best workmanship,” Nick emphasizes. “It’s very fulfilling to see a brand that I started from scratch grow into what it is today. My partner and I decided we would rather hire one quality person a month than just hiring for numbers. That model has worked very well for them. We prefer to take a more progressive view … growing with quality over speed.” As Nick looks to the future, he and Mike see future growth as it makes sense. “We’d like to continue to grow into markets that are controllable,” he says. “In general, we are open to going into markets where we’re confident we can exceed a customer’s expectations. We aren’t looking to expand just anywhere. If I don’t think I can exceed a customer’s expectations, then we don’t want to do it.” Finding a Way Forward
Today, New View Roofing has a team of 28 project managers, with a high retention rate for team members. In fact, the company has been in existence for seven years, and the average project manager has been with them for five years. Like many organizations, New View Roofing discovered some things from enduring the COVID-19 business environment. “COVID-19 was a great opportunity for us to realize there are certain things that are out of our control. We’re in the business to provide the best possible experience for our clients, so we focused on things we could control,” Nick explains. “We focused on materials, for example. Recently there was a shortage of aluminum. It’s harder to get some items as quickly as we could before. So when that happens, we focus on communication and service. Even though I can’t control that aluminum is backed up, I can control how often I communicate with clients.” Over the past year, New View Roofing has also expanded its social media presence.

“Some of our project managers may not have been as comfortable on social media, but what we’ve seen is they are all starting to utilize it more. That’s what is best for the customer as well as our brand and company,” he says. “Our project managers are taking more pride in branding themselves. I have project managers who never had an Instagram account. Now they are consistently posting.”
here. We’re very family-oriented, and we like having company gatherings with our children,” Nick emphasizes.

CCAR: in the know
Written by: Bri Westbury, Content Specialist at Collin County Association of REALTORS®
ASSOCIATION LEADERS LOOK BACK IN 2021 Ron Leach, CCAR President
When I spoke with Marvin Jolly, Texas REALTORS® Chairman, and Ron Leach, Collin County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) President, both were in the final weeks of their 2021 leadership terms and beginning to reflect on how the year went. “2021 went really well, members and local associations decided to get to work and make things happen. Real estate professionals showed how resilient they are, rallied, and sold a lot of homes,” said Jolly.
laws capped HOAs, and there are a lot of HOAs in Collin County. This reform lowers the HOA costs for both buyers and sellers and increases HOA transparency. I am really excited about HOA reform and proud to be a part of it.” While preparing for his 2021 term, Leach knew the turmoil nationwide would change his presidency. “I had anticipated the theme for my term as president to be ‘Rise to the Top.’ But, as the country faced so much turmoil, it just didn’t feel right. I changed it to ’Be a good neighbor,‘ and I am so glad that I did. Being there for your community and neighbors has never been more important,” reflected Leach.
However, it would be inaccurate to say that the entire year went as planned, yet still, Texas REALTORS® was able to overcome and adapt. A great example of Texas REALTORS®’ ability to quickly pivot was demonstrated at the Shaping Texas Conference.
Leach’s theme was widely embraced throughout CCAR, resulting in one of Leach’s term highlights, the Christy Black Volunteer of the Year Award. “Christy was an amazing individual and a dear friend. She did so much for the community, and I am proud to have helped create something at the Association to honor her legacy. The committee she led, the Community Outreach Committee, has really done a lot this year and I am really proud of the work they did with Christy and in honor of Christy,” said Leach.
“We had a big in-person conference planned in Houston for September that we had to switch to virtual at the last minute. We had to pivot in a short period of time,” said Jolly. “The good news is we have high rates of involvement for our virtual events, but the quality is just not the same—it’s hard to build that personal relationship.”
However, Leach’s proudest accomplishment is hosting a successful member-wide vote allowing for the approval to build the CCAR Education and Events Center. “I take a lot of pride in leading the charge for the new building. I know I was not the leader of the Building Committee, but as President, sitting on the call for the vote with everyone in the right place at the right time, I am really proud of that.”
CCAR President Ron Leach agrees that the necessity of virtual and hybrid meetings has been an obstacle in 2021. “There is no relationship building in a virtual meeting, you can’t replace a handshake or hug,” said Leach.
Both leaders believe the future for the Associations is bright and would like to see a more diversified group of leaders step up in the future. “We have amazing members with different abilities, backgrounds, and gifts. I would love to see that reflected more and more in our leadership,” said Leach.
Marvin Jolly, Texas REALTORS® Chairman
Despite the unknowns and reliance on virtual meetings, both leaders are proud of what was accomplished under their leadership. Jolly notes the Association’s legislative work as one of his proudest accomplishments in 2021. “The new

HER MISSION IN MOTION You know when you’ve witnessed someone who puts their passion for what they do into overdrive. They dedicate themselves fully. That’s the feeling you get when you talk with Kristen Wright. As Team Leader of Be the Reason Real Estate Group with Fathom Realty, Kristen puts her mission in motion each and every day. “Through the opportunity of working with our clients, I appreciate the fact that I may see them at their worst. It is so incredibly stressful to move, but that’s not who they are. It doesn’t define them. We’re there to support them through this time,” Kristen explains. “I coach my team that this isn’t about them. It’s about the client. I’m very reliant on God, and I really feel that what I’m doing in the business is my ministry. I don’t talk about God a lot with clients. But I do my best to represent Him through my work with them.” Executive Excellence
Before beginning her path in real estate, Kristen worked in telecommunications for over 20 years. She held a variety of posts, most of them in leadership roles. “Many of the employees I worked with toward the end of my career in telecommunications were international. I was traveling extensively,” Kristen remembers. “As my role there ended, I wondered what I was going to do next.” 54 • December 2021
Finding Their Texas Home
Kristen and her family moved to Texas in 2014. “When we came here, we decided to invest in real estate in apartment complexes as passive investors. I found it very intriguing from a passive investor perspective,” Kristen says. “Through that process, I decided to get my license, because I thought it would be interesting, not because I was interested in being a REALTOR®. But through a weird series of events, I felt strongly pulled that God had a sense of humor and that He wanted me to be a REALTOR®. My husband supported me and said, ‘Go for it.’” That was five years ago. Like most who start in the business, Kristen faced her share of challenging times. “My first year was so painful. I did a ton of leases, because they were great practice. I made less than $30,000 that year. I thought I had died and not gone to heaven,” she admits. “But my second year, I stayed true to my business plan and it just started exploding.” Strategy for Success
Kristen’s extensive leadership experience from her prior career helped her immensely. “I believe in having a core strategy. When I became a REALTOR®, Fathom offered coaching. I wanted a business coach that would help me as a new entrepreneur create a solid strategy. I love my business coach I work with. His name is Don, and he’s based in San Francisco,” she says. @realproducers

@realproducers
“One thing he had said to me is that I needed to get my own team. I didn’t want that. I wanted to be an individual agent. I have a huge amount of passion that real estate should not be under the sales umbrella. It is such a service-focused transition in people’s lives. The biggest amount of time in real estate is helping your client navigate through everything. I take very seriously my role in negotiating and guarding my client’s money; but aside from that, the bulk of my time is all about service and support. Initially, I wasn’t sure I would be able to accomplish that approach with an entire team.”
“I LOVE GETTING INSIGHT FROM MY CLIENTS AND OPERATIONALIZING THAT FEEDBACK.”
In time, and through experiencing her own path in the business, Kristen had a change of heart. “At the end of my second year, I got humble and knew I needed a team. In turn, I knew I needed to work with people who were new to real estate who had the same mindset with our own unique approach. First and foremost, we genuinely care about people. We guide them through the transaction and we protect their money as if it’s our own. This may be the largest investment a person makes in their life. We have enormous responsibility in knowing that.” What’s In a Name
In creating the Be the Reason Real Estate Group name, Kristen wanted a very client-centric approach. “The name didn’t come about because we want to be the reason that a client is able to buy a home. We aren’t. We want to be the reason they feel fantastic about what they just accomplished. It’s more of a supportive role,” she explains.

“I love the process that we put in place. We look for ways to tweak it, improve it, and make it different. We get a lot of feedback from clients, and we listen to it. We want their feedback. One of my roles in telecommunications was as an executive leader over the customer experience. I love getting insight from my clients and operationalizing that feedback.” Dream Team
At the end of the day, Kristen feels very lucky to be surrounded by the talent she has on her team. “My favorite thing is watching the people on my team become incredibly confident at how good they are at their jobs. I would use any of them for my own REALTOR® … and I am picky,” she says. “I spend most of my time coaching and developing, and that’s something I really enjoy.”

Kristen has recently become a Texas REALTOR® Certified Instructor and has started developing and facilitating workshops on various topics for agents. Family Time
Kristen cherishes time with her family, including her husband, Nelson, and their two sons — Slater and Carson. In her free time, Kristen has a passion for entertaining, traveling, and continuing to learn and grow in life. That’s the spirit that continues to move Kristen forward. With hard work, faith and dedication, Kristen Wright definitely puts her mission in motion for those around her each day.

MISSY PHIPPS Written by: Dave Danielson Photos by: Ilona Jade Photography
Fulfilling Ally’s Wish When active care meets a real need, good things happen.
That’s the way it is with Ally’s Wish, a special, ongoing mission of fulfilling wishes for terminally ill mothers and their children. Ally’s Wish is a heartfelt and impactful effort spearheaded by Missy Phipps, Team Lead and REALTOR® with The Missy Phipps Team with Keller Williams Dallas Metro North. Her team consists of three other agents, Lisette Simon, Brooke Greene, and Megan Landrey. Missy explains, “We love real estate and are blessed by our clients, but Ally’s Wish is our passion.” The Start of Something Special
Missy remembers how Ally’s Wish came into being seven years ago. “Allyson was a woman I knew who had battled cancer for quite some time. She was in remission for a time, and then it came back and it was terminal. She had three young boys at the time,” Missy remembers. “God had laid the idea of Ally’s Wish on my heart … to fulfill a wish for moms. As I talked with friends, we decided to create it. It means so much to be able to grant wishes to terminally ill young moms. We try to help them create memories with their families that have nothing to do with the illness they are dealing with. To help them forget the illness for just a moment.”

Caring with Purpose
Spreading the Word
The experiences for a family that are realized by granting a wish are unforgettable.
Wishes take a wide variety of forms, including trips or other experiences, that are special to each mom and her children.
“If they are on a trip, even for just a minute, if they think about the trip they are on rather than what they are going through, then we’ve been successful,” Missy explains. Missy and those involved with Ally’s Wish carry out a true mission of caring. “It’s a blessing to be able to help people in this situation. Our moms come from all over the country, but we do enjoy the local moms that we get to serve on a more personal basis. As a mom of younger children, it’s hard to imagine what they’re going through. It means a lot to be able to help these mothers and their children. It’s one of the most rewarding things we get to do. Just to be able to give them a little joy means so much,” Missy says.
There are two fundraising events that have helped to fuel the effort. “We had a 5K in October and a gala in the spring at Marty B’s in the Bartonville area. Last year, we raised over $240,000 at the Gala. Our goal was $100,000,” Missy says. “We also do smaller events. My Real Estate Team put on a fashion show/Dessert and Tea. Through that, we brought in close to $3,000 for Ally’s Wish. We are always looking for corporate sponsors who can be a regular part of our effort: sponsorships and donations. Our events are so much fun.” Fulfilling a Real Need
“We believe these moms feel like a wish granted is something they can give their kids during the absolute hardest time in their lives. To make a lasting good memory instead of all the tough ones.” 64 • December 2021
So far, Ally’s Wish has granted nearly 200 wishes, including more than 33 in 2021. We’re hoping to complete 45 wishes by the end of this year. @realproducers

Wishes are granted across the nation. “We are so excited to be able to do this, and yet we wish we could do more,” she says. “We do have a waiting list of moms that is over 150 now. It’s very hard to know that there are some moms who may not make it before we are able to grant their wish. We are always needing donations, because we always have a long list.” Ally’s Wish is structured for success for those it serves. 66 • December 2021

Mike&Pam
Harvey UPLIFTING LEADERS
Chances are very good that when you get done talking with Mike Harvey, you’re in even better spirits than you were when the conversation began. Mike is a Team Leader and REALTOR® with his wife, Pam, as part of the Harvey Team with Ebby Halliday. In the process, those who know him understand that Mike is truly an uplifting leader. “I love seeing my team members grow. I’ve had an opportunity to be in this business for a long time. But nothing makes me happier than watching my team members grow,” Mike says with a spark. “When I see their numbers grow and the excitement on their faces, it makes me very happy. It’s a special feeling to guide them through this crazy whirlwind right now and get them to the next stage.” Rewarding Retail Career
Mike earned his real estate license in 1986. Before that, he made a name for himself in the retail industry over a number of years.
“I went to college at Ole Miss and earned my MBA in Finance. During that time, I worked in the men’s department at a retailer,” he recalls. “When I got done with that schooling, I thought I wanted to be a banker. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that wasn’t going to be for me.” So Mike pursued his interest in retail and became a retail buyer in Jackson, Mississippi. In the process, he traveled to points around the globe, looking at retail product and putting deals together. It was an exciting time in more ways than one. “It was during that time that I met Pam on a blind date,” he says with a smile. “Within a year, we were married. That was 44 years ago.” As time went on, Mike moved to become a sales representative with Jantzen. He moved to the Northeast and worked out of the regional office in New York, eventually being transferred to Dallas, where Mike had responsibility for working with a number of stores here. In the process, he oversaw the number-one-producing territory in the nation.

Reaching a Crossroads
True to form, corporate America rewarded Mike’s leading efforts by penalizing him. His territory was doing so well that the company decided to split up his territory, in turn, reducing his production and his income. “At that point, I went into Murray REALTORS®, and I said I want a job where I can sell as much as I can without being penalized for it,” Mike remembers.
While he made the transition to real estate, Mike continued with Jantzen for a period of time. As Mike’s stores were bought out by large conglomerates and buying offices were moved out of his territory, the company moved Mike to California. “I had started my real estate career here at the time,” Mike says. “So Pam watched the

business here in Dallas. I lived in California for a year while Pam watched things here, along with our three children.” Coming Home to Life as a REALTOR®
It wasn’t long before an earthquake hastened Mike’s return to Texas and his full-time commitment to real estate.

“One day I was showing a new line of clothing, and there was a big earthquake in Los Angeles. I went in the next day and resigned. I told them that I was going back to Texas to sell real estate,” he says. “They thought I was crazy at Jantzen, but I got in my car and drove straight through from California to Texas. I was very motivated to sell real estate.” Eventually, Murray was sold to Coldwell Banker, where Mike served for 29 years, before moving to Ebby Halliday. Along the way, Mike firmly established himself as a true leader in the local market. He even appeared on HGTV’s HouseHunters. Team-Building Success
About 12 years ago, Mike started his own team. Today, he is joined by 11 other team members, without role divisions. “We’re a little different in that regard from a lot of teams,” Mike says. “We don’t distinguish between Buyer’s Agents or Seller’s Agents here. We’re all REALTORS® working together toward a common goal.” Mike speaks with genuine pride about the members of his team.

“Ted Cox had worked for a builder for years before joining the team. He was a perfect fit,” Mike says. “Another former customer of mine, Jennifer Young, also joined, and today, she’s my manager. They’re joined by Mike Smith, who focuses his energy on the Keller, Texas, area; Leslie Polaski, who was one of our team’s Top Producers last year; Heidi Lowensen, who has been perfect for us; and Will Smith, who has been in the business for nearly 30 years. They’re joined by Robin Hunt, who is very involved with local schools and children; and by James Kelly, who is a Texas Tech graduate and the youngest member of our team. Diane Eyles is also on our team, and she concentrates mostly on the luxury market.” Signs of Success
The results have been inspiring. Last year, the group finished as the number-four team out of 2,200 agents. “In time, Pam started assisting me. Her business grew. We complement each other very well,” he says. “I focus on bringing in the business, while her focus is generally on the technical side.” On average, the Harvey Team closes a deal every other day. During 2021, the results have added up to over $50 million in sales volume. A Wonderful Life
Away from work, Mike and Pam enjoy as much time as they can with their three children — their daughter, Allison (and son-inlaw, Nick, and four grandchildren) in Chicago; their son, Daniel (and his wife, Victoria, and their three children); and their son, Adam, and his wife, Paige). realproducersmag.com

I’ve had an opportunity to be in this business for a long time. But nothing makes me happier than watching my team members grow. In his free time, Mike looks forward to the morning bike rides he enjoys taking with Pam. They also have a second home in Mississippi — a historic property that served as headquarters for General Grant and the Union Army during the Civil War. As he says, “At Thanksgiving, our whole family gathers there. There are probably about 50 of us that meet there. It’s a blast.” 82 • December 2021
Those who get to know Mike understand that he is very straightforward. “I say what you need to hear. Not what you want to hear,” he smiles. He’s always there as a resource and expert guiding his clients through the process. “When you start working with me, you end with me,” he says. “You have
the same person all the way through. In the process, we have fun along the way, too.” Congratulations to Mike Harvey for the difference he makes for the people around him each day. Whether he’s interacting with a member of his team or a client, one thing is for certain. Mike is a truly uplifting leader. @realproducers
