publisher’s note

Mothers & May Flowers First off, May 8th is Mother’s Day, so happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there and especially to my mom, AKA Mary, AKA Mama Bear. Everyone who knows me knows that I am a mama’s boy and dang proud of it!

weather are a beautiful picture of the seasons of our life. There are seasons in life where we are doing a lot of sowing and then there are seasons where we are reaping what we have sowed. It is so important that we understand this process, and depending on our level of intentionality and how well we sow, will directly depend on the type of harvest that we reap.

It makes sense to me that the month of May would be the month that we celebrate Mother’s Day as May is a beautiful month when the grass, trees, plants, and flowers are starting to fully blossom. As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers.” Many of the beautiful parts about who we are as individuals are because of what our mothers have poured into us over the course of our lives. Much of the “fruit” that we bear in our life is because of our mothers. I guess now that I think about it, with this analogy, maybe April would be a better month for Mother’s Day. Nevertheless, I digress. It works both ways. You understand what I am getting at.

If we are not experiencing the harvest in our lives that we would like, then this is a great opportunity to pause and take a moment to reflect on the type of sowing that you have been doing. What we reap today is often from the thoughts and actions from months or even years ago. Everything from the books we read, the TV shows we watch, actions we do or do not take, and, arguably most importantly, the type of people we spend time with.

As I think about the seasons and this time of year, I think about reaping and sowing. I believe the seasons of

14 • May 2022

All the things that we allow to pour into our minds and our life will eventually bear fruit ... everything from our health, relationships, business, and finances. Whether that be good or bad, it is from what we have been sowing. As we move into May, I encourage you to take a look at the flowers of your life, and if you do not like the way that some of them look, then maybe it is a great time to make some changes in what we are sowing. To all the mothers who have sowed seeds of greatness into us … cheers to you! JORDAN ESPESETH Owner jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com

JOEY STANBERY rising star

Written by: Dave Danielson Photos by: Scott Peek Photography, LLC

S T E A D FA S T S P I R I T

The direction of the wind in the real estate market continuously changes. Those who you work with put their faith and trust in your experience and expertise to see them through.

Path of Faith

That’s an area that Joey Stanbery has a passion for.

“After we had been married for nine years, we ended up adopting our first child. Then we moved to Mesquite and then Forney,” Joey says.

Known as “The Bald Real Estate Agent” with RE/ MAX DFW Associates in Frisco, Joey works with a truly steadfast spirit for his clients. “I love the people interaction on a personal level and being able to meet their needs,” Joey says. “I pray that the Lord will guide the whole process. I focus on people and being there for them ... loving and caring for their needs. On the business side, I really enjoy the process of negotiating the best deals for my clients as well.” Gaining Early Lessons

Joey earned his real estate license in September 2019. But his story began as a young boy, learning important lessons about hard work and dedication. “I was raised by a single mom and had two brothers. Every day, I saw her work her rear off. I really appreciated her work ethic,” Joey remembers. “In fact, I used that as a model on how I wanted to be. My strong faith can also be traced back to that time. The Lord is very important to me; I got introduced to Him at a young age.”

18 • May 2022

As Joey came of age, he worked in youth ministry for ten years. At the same time, he married Ashlie, his high-school sweetheart, in 2004.

“During the time when my wife was pregnant, my brother was pushing me to think about real estate. He said you are really personable. I just didn’t like the fact that it would mean me working strictly on commission. I was working for a distribution company, but we needed something else financially with a growing family.” So, Joey earned his real estate license after working as a Door Dasher to save up the money needed to attend Champions Real Estate School. Gaining Traction. Building Business.

As he began his adventure in real estate, Joey put his head down, worked hard, and recorded his first closing within three months. Joey had worked as a National Distribution Representative for a company that made sanitizers, soaps, and anti-bacterials. While the orders were coming in, the decision was made to furlough employees, including Joey, because his commission was high.

“They told me in March, and that was the push to go into real estate. I just started pounding the pavement and just tried to do everything I could to be successful. I started figuring things out, and I really honed in on my neighborhood.” Joey gained traction and then has kept building his business steadily since then. In fact, in 2021, Joey sold 48 houses in his neighborhood alone, representing $15.8 million in sales volume.

When you talk with Joey, it’s easy to see his straightforward passion for the profession and the people he serves each day. “The best compliment is when people say, ‘Man, you really are as genuine as people say you are.’ That

means a lot to me. I’m just real with people. The phrase I live by I heard while watching a cartoon movie with my child... ‘See a need, fill a need.’ That is how I do real estate.” In turn, Joey Stanbery makes a real impact on his clients and community.

TBR Property Group: Robbie Shelton, Joey Stanbery, Alicia Underwood, and Charles Bryant

After starting on his brother’s team, Joey decided to begin his own operation in August 2021, starting his own team: TBR Property Group. Joey enjoys a rewarding adventure each day in the business. Today, he has a team of five. “Real estate is a means for me to help other people. Our team is faithbased. We don’t want to just do real estate,” Joey says. “We want to do life with other people and help others in any way we can.”

“

WE DON’T WANT TO JUST DO REAL ESTATE. WE WANT TO DO LIFE WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND HELP OTHERS IN ANY WAY WE CAN.” Family Foundations

Family is at the heart of life for Joey. He treasures moments spent with his wife, Ashlie, and their two daughters — Faith and Haisley. In his free time, Joey enjoys time hanging out with his family. They own a cabin in Broken Bow and like to spend as much time as they can there. In addition, Joey has a passion for going to the movies, dirt track racing, and staying engaged in their church. 20 • May 2022

REPUBLIC TITLE ADDING TO A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE When you’re an expert at what you do, everything you do seems to reflect your dedication, your knowledge, and your drive to make a difference.

“I believe that it’s very important to work with someone who enjoys what they do every day. When someone has that passion for what they do, you get the best out of them. That’s what I think we represent here.”

The same holds true with Republic Title of Texas ... a local leader with a longstanding tradition of excellence … one they continue building on each day.

Here for You

“The dedication we have to the client experience is probably the biggest thing that we focus on. We don’t do this for us. We do this for our clients,” he says.

A Passion for People

Shaun Neidigh is Vice President of Business Development for Collin County with Republic Title. When you talk with Shaun, it’s very easy to see the passion he has for people — and, in turn, what he and his team members do. “I’ve built my business on the idea of being relentless. That’s a word people use a lot with me. I am loyal, and I have an unapologetically big heart for caring about them and their success. I love connecting with people on things in their personal lives in addition to the business side … things such as children, sports, or whatever the case may be. In our world, it is a relationship-based business,” Shaun says.

30 • May 2022

“We try everything we can to make the experience the best it can be. We are the last part of the transaction, so we know it’s got to be good.” Honing Their Edge

Republic Title of Texas is a forward-acting organization that brings the best of new technology to its partners and clients … with an ongoing emphasis on solid service. “A big part of my job is going out and finding new resources and tools for our agents to use, so their lives and businesses can be better,” he says. “I am huge into working smarter not harder. There are so many tools that can help us be better. I love finding those tools and being able to share them.”

Better Together

Success is definitely a team activity at Republic Title of Texas with its group of passionate and likeminded professionals. As he says, “We have a really good dynamic on our team. We’ve moved forward as a unit. Everyone is geared toward the success of the company rather than their individual offices that they represent, which makes it easier to grow together.” Open Lines of Communication

Shaun explains that communication is something that receives heavy focus, as well. “We have developed a really good system across the board. We’ve been in the business for 32 • May 2022

over 30 years. As part of that, we have learned what works and what doesn’t… Having our support departments for both operations and sales, including our ever-expanding education team, has helped to propel us forward in any given market. We want to be a place where our clients, and prospective clients, can get everything they need for both a successful transaction and successful business.” “On the sales side, they can expect true sales partners… with our consultative sales approach. We are here to help them grow their business and show them ideas to help make their lives a little easier.” Life’s Highlights

he gets to spend with his family, including his wife, Lacee, and their three children — Wimberlee, Beckett, and Bowen. In his free time, Shaun has a big passion for sports, including college football, as well as equestrian events. He also enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams. When you need a partner you can trust with your clients’ title needs, look to Shaun Neidigh and the team at Republic Title of Texas. Contact Republic Title of Texas Today! There’s a point for each of us when big life-defining decisions happen … when a choice is made and a path is followed.

Joining Forces in Life and Business

A decision like that requires the convergence of head and heart. But which comes first? Do we feel when a direction is right? Or does our intellect tell us so? In moments like that, there is a measure of belief that is required.

“I went to Texas Tech University and graduated with a restaurant, hotel, and institutional management degree. Then, Cory and I met at On the Border restaurant. We both had restaurant backgrounds and met in 1996,” John recalls. “We worked at the same restaurant and got married in 1999. I went into restaurant management afterward, and she went into the fitness industry.”

John and Cory Bertrand are prime examples. As Team Leaders with the Bertrand Team with Keller Williams in McKinney, John and Cory are a formidable power couple who personifies faith and fulfillment. John earned his license in 2003, with Cory earning hers in 2012. Along the way, their path in life prepared them for the opportunity when it came. realproducersmag.com

John is a Dallas native who smiles as he recalls how he and Cory joined the same path.

“I grew up all over the place. I was a Navy brat and moved to Texas in the summer of 1987 and moved to Fort Worth. I had a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Texas Tech University. I was a bartender for 15 years. That’s how I met John,” Cory says. “I started working at a fitness center in Lubbock and was there for ten years where I was a Personal Training and Nutrition Director, and then we moved here and I opened up Work It Girl Fitness.”

Through time, John and Cory kept hearing a familiar message … that they should get into real estate. “At the time, my parents were in real estate. They kept telling me about the business, so in 2003, I decided to get my license and sell part-time, while staying in the restaurant business until 2011,” John remembers. “I just dabbled a bit in real estate, selling about two to four homes a year in Lubbock.” In 2009, Cory and John moved from Lubbock to McKinney, and John transferred to an On the Border in Allen, Texas, and he had his license with a family-owned company with B4 Realty. “I stayed in the restaurant business for two more years until 2011. That year, I was ready to do something different,” John says. “I went into real estate full-time in 2011 and quit my job at On the Border with no steady income. It was a struggle. We had a lot of credit card debt, and we were behind on payments. We were nervous about losing our house. Neither of us was making much money at that point.”

an admin, Ashley,” Cory says. “Before that, we were doing everything on the buying side and listing side along with the administrative work. Now, it’s so nice to be able to have a good quality of life.” Rewarding Lives

Away from work, John and Cory enjoy a full life. They have three wiener dogs they love spending time with. In his free time, John enjoys racquetball. Church plays a big role in their life, as well. They are also big sports fans, with Cory being an unwavering follower of the Green Bay Packers, and John is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. It’s clear that they enjoy sharing the same path in life and business. “I specialize more in the Xs and Os, while Cory is the personality. While I focus more on strategy, she is definitely the people person,” John says. Cory adds, “I get very emotionally involved with people. If they cry, I cry. We are fun people. Anybody who works with us would say that. We feel very lucky to be doing what we do.”

“We were down to one car at one point. So many get into the business and give up right away. When John got into real estate, at the time I had a personal training business, working with women. He came home one day and said, ‘I’m done.’ We rely on our faith and did a lot of praying,” Cory remembers. “Our faith in God carried us through that rough storm, and now we’re blessed to be doing very well. You just have to hang in there and have faith.” Hitting Their Stride

That faith was rewarded. Now, they average about $25 million in sales volume annually. John smiles when he talks about the point when Cory joined him in the business full-time. “Cory got her license in 2012, and it took her about six months to figure things out. Once she did, our business really took off. She connects really well with people,” John remembers. “She is definitely the driving force of our business. We gained momentum and in 2014, things started changing financially for us. We paid off our debts.” “That’s the year we started with Keller Williams. They really helped us grow our business. We grew our team from being a husband-and-wife team, until 2017 when we hired an assistant. We also have three Buyer’s Agents … Chance, Dani, and Alex, and 42 • May 2022

ANOTHER REASON TO CARE ABOUT

FAIR HOUSING The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Research Group released their 2022 Snapshot of Race and Home Buying in America report, and the findings may surprise you. You already know that the net worth of a homeowner surpasses that of a renter. According to the report, the net worth of a homeowner was about $300,000 while that of a renter was $8,000 in 2021. The net worth of a typical homeowner is about 40 times the net worth of a renter. You also know that owning a home is associated with better educational performance of children, higher participation in civic and volunteering activity, better healthcare outcomes, and lower crime rates in the communities. The NAR Research Group reported 6.5 million more homeowners in 2020 than in 2010, as more Americans saw the benefits of homeownership and took the plunge. However, what may surprise you is that while homeownership is increasing across the nation, it is disproportionally white Americans who are buying homes.

“The homeownership rate for white Americans has been consistently nearly 70% since 2017. During the same period, the homeownership rate for Black Americans has been nearly 30 percentage points lower than that of white Americans– above 41% from 2017 on. For Hispanic Americans, the homeownership rate has held above 47%, and for Asian Americans, it has been above 59% over

the same time period. In 2020, white and Hispanic Americans experienced the largest homeownership gains. The homeownership rate for Hispanic Americans rose by 3 percentage points within a year, pushing the rate above 51%, its highest level in history. Although the homeownership rate for Black households rose by 1.4 percentage points, it’s still lower than in 2010. In fact, this is the only race/ethnic group whose homeownership rate is lower than 10 years ago. As a result, the homeownership gap between white and Black households became even larger in 2020.[1]” As many Americans took advantage of low-interest rates, not everyone had the same opportunities to benefit from low rates due to racial disparities in the mortgage market denial rates. According to NAR’s Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers report, 7% of Black and Hispanic homebuyers were denied mortgages, compared with about 4% of white and 3% of Asian applicants. If homeownership is not possible, data shows that Black renter households are more squeezed than any other race/ethnic group. One in two Black renter households spend more than 30% of their income on rent. And, about 28% of the Black renter households spend more than 50% of their income on rent,

realproducersmag.com

representing nearly 2.3 million households. In contrast, 21% of white renter households are severely cost-burdened, spending over 50% of their income on rent. This translates to about 4.9 million white renter households. “The work REALTORS® do is life-changing. I have seen wealth built and lives transformed through homeownership. It is my desire, and it should be all REALTOR®’s desire, to help families from all walks of life have the same access.” – CCAR President Marissa Benat The American dream provides more than a white picket fence. It provides increased net worth, better educational performance of children, higher participation in civic and volunteering activity, better health care outcomes, and lower crime rates. The American dream should be equally available to all, white picket fence optional. FINDING FINDING THE THE RIGHT RIGHT FIT FIT

I

n a market where the inventory of available homes tends to be very low, and the demand for quality housing is very high, the process of unearthing the property that works the best for your clients can be daunting. Yet, each day you do your best … striving and finding creative ways to make it happen. That dynamic of matching people with the right places is something Jacque Trulock focuses her energy on, as well.

For a number of years, Jacque worked in the dental industry, playing key roles in various clinic settings.

Leading the Way

“I had always worked in the medical industry from high school on. In time, I decided to do something different and got into real estate,” Jacque says.

As a leading REALTOR® with Keller Williams Realty, Jacque is dedicated to finding the right fit for her clients. “A lot of what I enjoy about real estate is the fact that it is really family-focused. I feel like I’m sort of a wedding planner and social director rolled together as one, because I think the best part is relocating a family in from out of state, or even those making an interlocal move and then being able to plug them into a place that has the activities that are most important to them,” Jacque says. “I really like plugging them into the right neighborhood that has the right fit. I take pride in taking care of them and making sure they have what they need to be successful living here.” First Steps

Jacque began her iconic real estate career in 1998. Before she entered the business, as a Native Texan, she grew up in the East Texas town of Tyler and attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a Biomedical Science degree.

Beginning Her Iconic Career

Jacque got her start with Ebby Halliday, where she was a perennial Top Producer for nearly eight years, prior to moving to Keller Williams Realty. Along the way, Jacque married her husband, Matt, and they began their family. At the same time, she steadily built her team business — proving her capability of balancing and multitasking between her work and her family, oftentimes treating clients like family. “Then my one assistant who had been with me since the very beginning moved with her husband for his job transfer,” Jacque recalls. “When the economic downturn of 2008 happened, I realized the need to shift with the market and make a goal to provide an even more focused and personal style of attention to every client.” Remarkable Results

“After college, I moved to Dallas and intended to go on to medical school, but instead I started working,”

50 • May 2022

Her record of results has been remarkable through time. Jacque has been highlighted a number of times in The Wall Street

Journal, has been awarded D Magazine Best REALTOR® year-after-year, and has earned the full range of lofty accolades available as a Top Producer. In addition, Jacque has been a sought-after speaker and trainer, having spoken to thousands of people at industry events. Fulfilling Life

Away from work, Jacque’s world is made richer by her family. She treasures time with Matt and their two children — 15-year-old, Kyle, who

plays quarterback in football, and 12-year-old daughter, Megan, who has played select soccer as a goalie for several years. In her free time, Jacque enjoys hanging out with her two English Bulldogs, Casper and Dori. She and her family have a love for traveling – especially to places such as visiting friends in Australia, spending a family ski trip in Utah, or time at the beach in Aruba. Plus, Jacque likes to support those in her local community by contributing to scholarship programs for local high school students.

A LOT OF WHAT I ENJOY ABOUT REAL ESTATE IS THE FACT THAT IT IS REALLY FAMILYFOCUSED.

Reputation for Results

Those who get to know and work with Jacque appreciate her sense of loyalty and integrity and the fact that she is easy to talk with. “I strive to always be dependable and always there for every client,” she says. “Also, I believe that networking is so important. In many cases, our sources of finding homes for our buyers are through relationships with our peers in the industry,” Jacque says. “As part of that, it means a lot to be able to work with people you know and trust. Those 20 to 25-year relationships are huge. I would

hope that there wouldn’t be a single person who didn’t feel they could come and talk with me in confidence.” Dedicated Drive

With a steadfast priority of God, family, and real estate, Jacque gives her all each day to help those around her. Each day, she relishes her role in helping the people she works with to find the right fit for them in real estate — and life. @realproducers

In your role, you make things look easier than they really are. While you hustle behind the scenes, you ease the way forward for your clients. That’s the dynamic at work when you partner with Black Tie Moving … a company that puts trusted professionalism to work for residents across the region. Dedicated to Their Role

Ellis Ishee is Vice President of Sales with the company. He and his team feel a deep sense of responsibility for their clients’ moving success. “Our goal is to make the move and the relationship an easy, seamless experience. It can be such a logistical nightmare for clients,” Ellis says.

“We want them to say that we made it so easy for them, and that, as a result, they no longer feel stressed.” Springing Out of the Desire to Make a Difference

The company’s very existence emerged out of the desire to elevate the overall experience of moving. “Our original founder, Dustin Black, was living in Dallas and had his own move scheduled. Through that process, Dustin said there has to be a service out there that is more about customer engagement and not about completing a logistical task,” Ellis says. That experience inspired him to found Black Tie Moving. “As a result, we recruit people who love other people … those who like to engage, interact, and make people feel differently about the moving experience.” Seeing the Difference

REALTORS® who partner with Black Tie Moving see the difference that the company makes for their clients. “REALTORS® and Brokers will call and say they‘re in a bind and they need to move faster than they thought. I tell our partners that they are my customers,” he says with a smile. “I love that engagement and trust, and I also love to coach and teach them how to engage with customers.” Bridging the Need

As Ellis explains, he and his team look at their role as smoothing out the emotional peaks and valleys of a typical real estate transaction. “Buying is an emotional experience. When a property is bought or sold, that takes a customer to an all-time high emotionally speaking. Once they leave that home and they get back into the rut of having to pack and move, that can then become a stressor,” Ellis says. realproducersmag.com

WE TAKE PRIDE IN BEING TRUSTED AND HAVING THAT OPPORTUNITY TO REALLY TAKE CARE OF CLIENT NEEDS.

“It’s like a mountain peak between the showing and another peak during the closing. We like to bridge between those peaks. We take the valley off the customer and on to us as subject matter experts. We really want to be that bridge.” Rewarding Life

Away from work, Ellis feels deep thanks for his wife, Amy. “We’ve been married over a year now,” he says. “Between us, we have seven kids… They are all grown. We enjoy cruises, hiking, gym, and spending time together, and we try to get them together as often as possible.” Value-Added Approach

In addition to its core services, Black Tie Moving provides value-added offerings, with discounts to all first responders and military personnel. When you talk with Ellis, it’s easy to see the qualities that continue to fuel the company’s growth through time.

KICK-OFF EVENT OF 2022

TOP GOLF

Our North Dallas Real Producers’ first event of 2022 was incredible! But as we know, that is par for the course for these Real Producers Events. And this pun works perfectly as our event was held at Top Golf in The Colony. The day was absolutely beautiful, and we had 200 of the best real estate agents and most highly recommended businesses in attendance! It has been said that, “Who you spend time with is who you become.” Well, I feel really good about who we were spending time with on Wednesday evening! Our headline sponsor, WealthWave, gave away $1,000 to the person who guessed the closest 62 • May 2022

number of suckers in the jar that they had at their booth. The winner went to James Sharp who was one off with a guess of 178 and the exact being 179! $500 of the $1,000 is to be given to a charity of his choice, which we can guess what that will be. Sharp Shoes, anyone? Thank you WealthWave and congrats to James! Thank you to all of our RP vetted businesses and a special shout out to our evening’s event sponsors: WealthWave, Boston National Title, SellWhenever, Red Dirt Roofing,

Sharing Meaningful Moments

74 • May 2022

@realproducers

In every life, there are those snippets of time that stand out … those times when a milestone has been reached.

As she says, “I love Coldwell Banker Apex REALTORS®, and I have an amazing Broker. The training is outstanding. I can’t say enough about this place.”

The same holds true for real estate transactions. A Long-Term Interest in the Business Finding Fulfillment

Shannon Moneymaker Bartek cherishes those with her clients … in the process finding and maintaining a balance in life as a busy mother. As a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Apex REALTORS®, Shannon has a passion for sharing meaningful moments with those who she had an opportunity to serve. “I love the process of meeting new people and watching how people feel when they are actually able to win a home. It’s not easy to win in this current market,” Shannon says. “But when you can explain the process and they win the offer, it’s a real sigh of relief for them. The appreciation they feel is so rewarding. Through the process, we share friendship, joy, and excitement with them.” Shannon earned her real estate license in 2017. A big part of Shannon’s fulfillment through her work is the environment she works in.

“

The team has truly given me balance. I think you have to find real synergy with the support of your family to make it work.

realproducersmag.com

”

Growing up, Shannon was exposed to the business at home. “My mom was in real estate when I was young, and my father was in insurance. I was always intrigued by being in real estate. It was always a dream of mine to be in the business,” Shannon says. “As I got older, my father introduced me to insurance.” As she came of age, Shannon had a mentor who encouraged her to work in the corporate sector in the medical side of insurance. “As I grew into that business, my father had continued to draft me into becoming an insurance agent. I was recruited by Allstate Insurance and started with them. In time, the corporate office asked me to work at the headquarters,” she remembers. “But, I decided to stay as an independent agent. I had hit some high numbers. My father moved from Allstate and went independent, while I stayed with Allstate. Then when he transitioned to Nationwide Insurance, they decided to recruit me as well. In the process, I decided to go into real estate.” Starting Life as a REALTOR®

From there, Shannon left insurance and went full time in real estate. She wasted little time in making a name for herself. In fact, she hit the ground running with $10 million in sales volume. As time has progressed, Shannon has continued growing her business and taking steps forward. In fact, during the past year, she began growing her own team, the Shannon Moneymaker Bartek Group.

North Dallas Real Producers • 75

In 2021, Shannon recorded $19 million in sales volume, while her team amassed $27 million in overall sales volume.

“It’s hard to strike a balance between life and work in this business,” Shannon says. “This business can really run your life, and it did in the very beginning. There are still times where in the last two years where it is very hectic.”

Team Spirit

Shannon smiles when she talks about the experience of having her own team that includes two full-time members and another one joining this summer. “I love coaching and working with them to help them grow,” she says. “A big part of my satisfaction is seeing the way everyone works together to be a good team.” Life’s Rewards as a Mother

Away from work, Shannon’s life is made richer by her family, including her husband, Brian Bartek, and children — her daughter, Jordyn Moneymaker, and her son, Jason Moneymaker, and her parents — John and Shirley Betty.

76 • May 2022

Finding and keeping that balance is an ongoing process. “I find time where it’s just my family and I. I think you have to decide what’s really important. I dedicate time to the things that are important, including time with my husband, my kids, parents, and church,” she explains. “We have dinner with family once a week. We also have movie time. Together, we find a balance. It took me three years in this business to figure that out. The team has truly given me balance. I think you have to find real synergy with the support of your family to make it work.” Congratulations to Shannon Moneymaker Bartek for the balance she achieves in life and business, as she shares meaningful moments in life with those around her.

FAQ ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE

Real Producers magazine started in Indianapolis in 2015 and is now in over 100 markets across the nation and continues to spread rapidly. Real Producers first launched in DFW in August of 2018 with North DFW Real Producers (now called “North Dallas”). In May 2019 Dallas Real Producers launched and then Tarrant Real Producers in March of 2021. In 2022 Tarrant Real Producers split into two publications, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers will go to print later this year. Q: WHO RECEIVES REAL PRODUCERS MAGAZINE? A: The top 500 real estate agents in each of the four markets in DFW based on their annual residential MLS sales volume for the previous year. If a deal is not recorded in the MLS we are unable to pull that data. Most agents produce 10-30% more than what the MLS shows. Refer to the map in this publication for the exact territories. If your broker address is within that given territory and you are in the top 500, then you will receive that publication for the year. There are approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW. The list will reset at the end of every year and will continue to update annually. Q: WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS MAGAZINE? A: We believe that we are better together. When we surround ourselves with other successful, like-minded people, we grow to new heights. Real Producers is a platform the brings together the most elite individuals in DFW Real Estate. In every market, we take the Top 500 real estate agents, and RP Vetted Businesses, and we build an exclusive community around that group. We share their stories, successes, market trends, upcoming events — really, anything that will connect, inform and inspire, we put in our monthly publication. Q: DOES REAL PRODUCERS HAVE EVENTS? A: Yes! Each community will have two main events a year, and then we do a combined event at the end of the year, which is an awards gala called The ESPE’s. For these events, we invite the Top 500 real estate agents and our RP Vetted Businesses. Top 500 agents are allowed to invite members on their team as well. These events are an incredible 80 • May 2022

opportunity to connect with the best of the best in DFW Real Estate. It is amazing to see the power in the connections made at these events. Be on the lookout for your exclusive invites! Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE? A: It’s really simple. You have to be on the Top 500 list, and we take nominations seriously. You can nominate other real estate agents, businesses, brokers, owners, or even yourself! Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone brought to our attention who is in the Top 500 because we don’t know everyone’s story, so we need your help to learn about them. We cannot guarantee a feature but to increase your chances we encourage you to meet with one of our team members, support Real Producers, and attend our private events. You can email your nominations to jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. Q: WHAT DOES IT COST A REAL ESTATE AGENT/TEAM TO BE FEATURED? A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. It costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-to-play model. We share real stories of real producers. Q: WHO IS THE RP VETTED BUSINESSES? A: They are one of the best businesses in DFW in their category and you can find them listed in our index! We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One of many of the top real estate agents has recommended every single business you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. Our team will further vet every business to make sure they are a good fit and bring value to our community. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network, not only for the best real estate agents in the area but the best businesses, as well, so we can grow stronger together. Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A BUSINESS? A: If you know and want to recommend a business that works with top real estate agents, please email us to let us know at jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. @realproducers
