ADVERSITY Jordan competing in snowcross racing at 16 and 17 years old

Adversity: a state or instance of serious or continued difficulty or misfortune.

I

in the face of those challenges and find a way to make it happen. If not, maybe you should get off the track.”

Naturally, my dad bred his three boys to be snowmobile racers as well. I started around age 4 and retired at age 17. I was a semi-pro on the National Snocross Circuit my last year of racing. Snocross is essentially Motocross on snowmobiles. Yes, growing up I spent most of my time jumping 450-pound snowmobiles, 20 feet high, and 100 feet in distance. Standard stuff. By the way, it should be illegal for a 120-pound, 14-year-old kid to be racing a 180-horsepower snowmobile.

Real estate is changing rapidly. The things that worked five years ago don’t work as well now, and what we do now won’t work as well in the next few years. It is going to be challenging. It always will be. But just remember the wise words of my father: “Everyone is dealing with the same stuff you are.”

am not going to lie: For most of my life, I HATED this word. Just ask my dad. I grew up in Thief River Falls, MN — home of Arctic Cat. My dad was very influential in getting Arctic Cat back on its feet when they went bankrupt in 1981. Arctic Cat was an integral part of his life. In fact, my dad grew up racing snowmobiles on ice oval tracks — like Nascar for snowmobiles! He was pretty dang good, too.

My dad was my mechanic, boss, and coach. His FAVORITE thing to say to me was: “Jordy ... adversity.” After many of my races that didn’t go as planned, I would come back to our race trailer in a not-so-great mood, telling my dad a whole list of excuses as to what went wrong. “I got roosted, and I couldn’t see! My goggles were fogging up! It’s too freaking cold! Make my sled faster!” And every time my dad would sit down next to me and say, “Jordy ... adversity. Everyone is dealing with the same stuff you are. It is up to you to adapt

14 • April 2022

I always had the same response: “Whatever, Dad. You don’t even know what it was like out there.” I used to be a little sassy. But, in hindsight, he was right. Yes, Dad. I am admitting that you were right! I know he has a smirk on his face as he reads this.

So, I ask you — how well do you deal with adversity, and are you willing to adapt to the changes that are coming? I hope so. If not, maybe it’s time to get off the track. See you in the next issue, y’all! Cheers, Jordan Espeseth Owner jordan.epseseth@realproducersmag.com

REALTOR® on the rise Written by: Dave Danielson Photos by: Desiree Roberts

Swann Michelle

The ebbs and flows of the market are inevitable. In fact, it’s fair to say the one constant is definitely change. You can count on it. Yet, through it all, your clients know you’re there for them, as a rock they can rely on.

“I didn’t have a huge network or family here. That was the biggest struggle for me. I started at zero and worked my way up.”

That’s the same feeling that Michelle Swann’s clients have with her.

Signs of Success

As a REALTOR® with JPAR, and this month’s Rising Star, Michelle maintains tireless ties with those around her. “I really enjoy getting involved with clients and their lives. This is a completely relational business,” Michelle explains. “I’m friends with them, go to dinner with them, and then I treat their friends just like I did them. Maintaining that personal touch is so important, and I want to be there from beginning to end.” Life’s Moves

Michelle is originally from Orange County in the Laguna Beach area. When she was 13, she moved with her family to Kentucky. There, she attended high school and college — along the way, earning her dental hygiene degree from the University of Kentucky. In time, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lived for a couple of years. Eventually, she moved to Texas in 1998 and got her dental hygiene license here. Reaching a Crossroads

After a successful career in that field, Michelle reached the point where she was ready for change. “I had worked in the industry for 25 years. I felt stuck and wanted to reinvent myself. So, I started looking into what different courses of action I could take,” Michelle remembers. “I had worked with a REALTOR® who said I would be good at this. She advised me to save some funds, since she let me know that I wouldn’t be able to jump right in and make a lot of money immediately.”

That was about four and a half years ago. Since then, she has created remarkable results. In fact, in 2021, she recorded $17 million in sales volume. As she looks to her next steps in the business, Michelle plans on eventually earning her Broker’s license and starting her own team. In the meantime, Michelle continues building and strengthening relationships with those around her. “I love working with first-time homebuyers. I got a call the other day from a guy who is new to the area, and he had never bought a house,” she recalls excitedly. “I said, ‘I will be there for you and educate you through the whole process. Here’s what you should do to be prepared and why. I want you to fully understand that before you dig into the biggest financial transaction of your life. Educating my clients is key to the success of their home purchase, as well as trust.” Family Highlights

Away from work, Michelle cherishes time with her family, including her husband, Charge, and her two children — Macie and Dylan.

For a time, Michelle had considered attempting to continue her dental work.

In her free time, Michelle has a passion for staying active. She enjoys yoga, riding her Peloton bike, and spending time outdoors with her dogs that she spoils.

“I had debated doing both, but I realized it wasn’t feasible. I quit my dental work cold turkey, which made it very hard in the first year because I wasn’t very connected here,” she says.

That active lifestyle matches Michelle’s tireless, on-the-go approach to life and business.

Michelle with her husband, Charge, and their children, Macie and Dylan

“I am definitely a goal-setter, and I want to strive to do more in life and always be better,” she emphasizes. “I’m never really complacent in my life. I always want to make sure that people I work with know that I’m responsive. And I don’t give up when things don’t go our way. Instead, I fight for them. I’m their biggest

advocate. If people call me, I’m going to follow up; I’ll be there, and they can depend on me. They know they can always reach out to me with any real estate questions after closing.” Congratulations to Michelle Swann for leading by example and demonstrating the power of maintaining tireless ties with those she serves.

UTILITY CONCIERGE One Call Does it All

Utility Concierge Founder Gabe Abshire

28 • April 2022

@realproducers

Wouldn’t it be great if there was an “easy button” for your clients to press when they were ready to arrange all of their utilities and home services? When you partner with Utility Concierge, that’s what you and your clients essentially get. Jeff Brown is Marketing Director with Utility Concierge. As he explains, one call can really do it all. “Utility Concierge got its start by Gabe Abshire in 2009 in the TV space. He noticed that there were several gaps for the move-in process for people,” Jeff says. “We take care of all home services in one phone call.” realproducersmag.com

A Business Model that Makes Good Sense

The business model makes sense, and it is played out to perfection with Jeff and his team at Utility Concierge. “Moving is hard, and part of that process is getting all of your home services and utilities installed and setting the activity dates — things like TV, Internet, the locksmith, security, pest control, and so on,” Jeff points out. “What our team does is we give you a call a couple weeks before the move, and in 20 minutes, we give you the best selections to choose from and we handle everything from installation to getting things booked smoothly so you don’t have to worry about them.” An Extension of Your Efforts with Your Clients

Utility Concierge offers a true value-add experience for REALTORS® and their clients. North Dallas Real Producers • 29

“We help take care of their customers as they’re going through the move-in process. We do that through our regular experience. Plus, we also have a white-label experience, so we can act as an extension of your brand to reach out to your clients,” Jeff says. “Plus, we make that value-add easy. When we plug in with a new partner, we share with them exactly what we’re going to communicate, how we’re going to do that, and we are very flexible,” Jeff explains. “We make it easy for them. We’re doing the legwork for them. Mindblowing customer service is one of our core values, so we make that an emphasis in everything we do.” Focused on Making Life Easier for You

phone handling arrangements for their partners and clients.

An All-In Approach Creating Excellence

Jeff gets a rewarding feeling from his work each day.

Those who work with Jeff and the team at Utility Concierge appreciate the all-in approach they feel.

“We have foundational elements that are there to create an easy, stress-free environment that creates a top-tier customer experience. We have taken the time to build the foundations of our business, so we are accounting for everything, even when we have been growing 50 percent year over year over the past six years,” he says. “We don’t have to be stressed or overworked. We focus on our six core values to make sure that we’re giving a positive experience to the customer and also making sure that our environment as a company is a place to grow.”

“We set out to make the world a better place by making the move a better experience, day in and day out,” Jeff emphasizes. When you’re looking for a partner who is there for you and your clients to ease the move-in process and support your overall client experience, look to Utility Concierge! As you and your clients will see, one call truly does it all when it comes to making their new property feel like home. Contact Utility Concierge Today! Cell: 972-737-7406 @realproducers

Are you following the rules? “I think overall, we’ve been very lenient about giving out a warning, and actually quite fortunate that most of the agents comply and just take care of it. The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) has said, you need more teeth than just a slap on the hand. We weren’t excited about it, but it’s something that we need to have in place, and we now do have in place. And for an agent who won’t correct an issue, now we have a remedy for it,” says Blair Taylor, Managing Partner of RE/MAX DFW Associates, Frisco Starwood. So, what infractions will cost you money? Non-compliance with the Clear Cooperation Policy[1], for one.

Despite the vigorous vetting, consideration, and discussion that goes into creating policy, some real estate professionals feel policy changes are out of the blue. “When there’s a new policy change, sometimes when you’re out there working with your head down, you’re not involved in these committees, and you feel a little blindsided on why this policy change happened. When in fact, it’s been up for discussion for months and months leading up to it,” says CCAR President Marissa Benat. Undeniably, changes to the MLS policy are preceded with many discussions, and members at their local association are integral in the formation of new policies. “If the first time you hear of a policy change and you don’t agree with it, well, there’s been many discussions along the way. If you’re a part of the MLS Committee, then you’ve heard about them, you understand the issue and can ask questions as to why this change is needed. You should be involved in the MLS Committee if you want to know about all these changes, because there’s a lot of great discussions from all perspectives,” says Acquisto. Real estate professionals are encouraged to attend their local association’s MLS Committee meetings to be part of the discussion and help shape MLS policy. MLS subscribers can review current MLS policy at www.nar. realtor or www.ccar.net, or call 972-618-3800 to speak with a CCAR MLS specialist for personalized assistance. [1] https://www.nar.realtor/about-nar/policies/ mls-clear-cooperation-policy

The Clear Cooperation Policy requires listing agents to submit a listing to NTREIS for cooperation with other MLS Participants within one business day of marketing a property to the public. Marketing a property to the public can range from placement of a sign in the yard, sharing information about your listing on social media, to discussing property features of an upcoming listing with agents outside of your brokerage. The Clear Cooperation Policy has been implemented and enforced since May 1, 2020, but now non-compliance will cost you money. Although frustrating to some, CCAR President-Elect Shana Acquisto reminds agents, “Policy change is to assure that [real estate professionals] evolve in a manner which satisfies the requirements of the law. Our industry is always changing, so we have to keep up and stay on top of it.” 34 • April 2022

SL Stage Coach D e s i g n i n g

R e a l

R e s u l t s

Some people make what they do look like magic. Of course, that ability comes from years of learning and perfecting a craft and knowing how to apply that expertise in the right amounts at the right time.

Opening a New Chapter

That’s something that seems to be second nature to Robin Fusco.

“At that time, I went to a business mixer with a girlfriend to support her in her job search. I had a friend who asked me what I wanted to do. I said I want to stage homes for REALTORS®,” she remembers.

As owner of SL Stage Coach, she designs real results for properties with her REALTOR® partners and their clients. “I think of myself as a home sale consultant … getting things done on the front side so clients know what we think needs to be done. That’s what I love the most,” Robin points out. “What I really love is impacting people … being a part of the team with a REALTOR®.” An Integral Part of the Team

Robin becomes a natural extension of the team that makes a listing move into the sales column. “In many cases, REALTORS® include me in their marketing literature. I go for the initial consult, go through the home and I explain why a home needs to be painted or presented in a certain way. What I love the most is REALTORS® trust me to do this for them,” she smiles. “I love when I go back to do the staging; they are so proud of what they’ve done according to what I’ve told them. I tell them the right things to help homes sell quickly. I’m extremely direct.” It may not be a surprise that Robin had strong influences when she was growing up in Boston … lessons that have helped to shape the career that she enjoys so much today. “With my parents, I really grew up with the Chip and Joanna Gaines of the 1970s,” she says. “We were renovators. I remember that my dad had me in his multi-family apartments, when I was 12 years old on, doing wallpapering. I’ve done a lot with my parents through time.” 38 • April 2022

When Robin moved to the area, her long-term marriage to her husband ended, but a rewarding new chapter in her life was just getting underway.

And so her journey began. Her knack for communicating with people combined with her gift for design and effectively staging a property added up to create success — and results from the very beginning. “I love the home sales process. I love décor, the consultation, and selling a home,” Robin says. “I had friends who were REALTORS® who had me stage for them. And business really started to build from the beginning.” A Knack for Creating Results

Those who work with Robin marvel at her ability to enter a space and to be able to quickly assess what needs to be done. “I tour the home, and we think about things that can be used in different spaces,” Robin says. “I look at what we can do that has the most impact without a huge renovation that is going to sell the home … to highlight the features and hide the objections. It is the push-pull without opening the can of worms.” Through time, Robin’s faith in God and her passion have guided her steps forward. “When I was a little girl, I remember thinking I just want to be very knowledgeable and very good at one thing. I want to be the authority on one thing,” she says. @realproducers

“

I just want to leave everything better than the way I find it.

“

“I believe that once I professed to God and said let me walk in your will in your way, He put me in this position of authority in knowledge and area of expertise. I do know that I can sell any home. It flows. It comes to me, and I just know what to do. It’s a God thing. That’s my driving force.” Family Foundation

Away from work, Robin looks forward to time spent with her family, including her boyfriend, Andrew Williams, who is owner of Iron Horse Inspections. In her free time, Robin likes to support her son-inlaw, who has a southern rock band. She and Andrew also like cruising on a motorcycle. When it comes to giving back, Robin enjoys supporting a ministry carried out by Brenda Jackson. “She works with single moms and helps them get back on their feet,” she says. “Their success rate is amazing.” When you’re looking for a partner to design real results for you and your clients, turn to Robin Fusco and SL Stage Coach. “I just want to leave everything better than the way I find it,” she says with a smile. FAQ ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE

Real Producers magazine started in Indianapolis in 2015 and is now in over 100 markets across the nation and continues to spread rapidly. Real Producers first launched in DFW in August of 2018 with North DFW Real Producers (now called “North Dallas”). In May 2019 Dallas Real Producers launched and then Tarrant Real Producers in March of 2021. In 2022 Tarrant Real Producers split into two publications, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers will go to print later this year. Q: WHO RECEIVES REAL PRODUCERS MAGAZINE? A: The top 500 real estate agents in each of the four markets in DFW based on their annual residential MLS sales volume for the previous year. If a deal is not recorded in the MLS we are unable to pull that data. Most agents produce 10-30% more than what the MLS shows. Refer to the map in this publication for the exact territories. If your broker address is within that given territory and you are in the top 500, then you will receive that publication for the year. There are approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW. The list will reset at the end of every year and will continue to update annually. Q: WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS MAGAZINE? A: We believe that we are better together. When we surround ourselves with other successful, like-minded people, we grow to new heights. Real Producers is a platform the brings together the most elite individuals in DFW Real Estate. In every market, we take the Top 500 real estate agents, and RP Vetted Businesses, and we build an exclusive community around that group. We share their stories, successes, market trends, upcoming events — really, anything that will connect, inform and inspire, we put in our monthly publication. Q: DOES REAL PRODUCERS HAVE EVENTS? A: Yes! Each community will have two main events a year, and then we do a combined event at the end of the year, which is an awards gala called The ESPE’s. For these events, we invite the Top 500 real estate agents and our RP Vetted Businesses. Top 500 agents are allowed to invite members on their team as well. These events are an incredible realproducersmag.com

opportunity to connect with the best of the best in DFW Real Estate. It is amazing to see the power in the connections made at these events. Be on the lookout for your exclusive invites! Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE? A: It’s really simple. You have to be on the Top 500 list, and we take nominations seriously. You can nominate other real estate agents, businesses, brokers, owners, or even yourself! Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone brought to our attention who is in the Top 500 because we don’t know everyone’s story, so we need your help to learn about them. We cannot guarantee a feature but to increase your chances we encourage you to meet with one of our team members, support Real Producers, and attend our private events. You can email your nominations to jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. Q: WHAT DOES IT COST A REAL ESTATE AGENT/TEAM TO BE FEATURED? A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. It costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-to-play model. We share real stories of real producers. Q: WHO IS THE RP VETTED BUSINESSES? A: They are one of the best businesses in DFW in their category and you can find them listed in our index! We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One of many of the top real estate agents has recommended every single business you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. Our team will further vet every business to make sure they are a good fit and bring value to our community. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network, not only for the best real estate agents in the area but the best businesses, as well, so we can grow stronger together. Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A BUSINESS? A: If you know and want to recommend a business that works with top real estate agents, please email us to let us know at jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. North Dallas Real Producers • 45

GUIDING THEM TO THEIR GOALS As your clients strive to reach their real estate dreams, they rely on your expertise to get them there. Tanya Endicott thrives on fulfilling that same need for her clients, as well. As a Broker Associate with the Dallas Home Team with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Penfed Realty in Frisco, Tanya finds success for those around her by guiding them toward their goals. Getting Started

Tanya was born into a U.S. military family on the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean shortly before Cyprus was plunged into a war with Turkey. After returning to the States, her family never lived anywhere for too long. In the early 2000s, Tanya came to Texas to become an attorney and ended up with her real estate license instead.

the largest investments most people will ever make in their lifetime.” Beast Mode Engaged

Seven years into Tanya’s real estate career, she almost lost everything. Early on, she was focused on foreclosure business and corporate clients, but when the banks started closing, those deals quickly disappeared. Having to refocus her efforts on the more traditional side of real estate, she never forgot the lessons she learned when working foreclosure deals: 1. Never put all of your eggs in

one basket. 2. To visualize the potential of a home … instead of what your eyes see when walking through the door. Tanya was doing this long before HGTV ever made it mainstream. Taking these lessons, she decided to start investing in real estate. With the help of her husband, Ivan Pierce, they created T&I Custom Homes, which is well known in investment circles for their high-quality finish-outs and design. Together, they regularly take homes nobody wants and transforms them into gems sought after by the most discerning clients of North Dallas. Tanya and her husband, Ivan

Being a single mom and putting herself through college, Tanya continued to develop her spirit of independence and tenacity. Having moved around so much, Tanya developed a strong love of family. “Home was wherever my family was and was not tied to a specific house. I think this is the reason I tend to focus on the investment aspect of a home when helping my clients,” Tanya says. “My experiences give me a lot of objectivity when helping people in a real estate transition. Buying and selling a home is such an emotional experience, so I always remind my clients not to get caught up in the feelings surrounding the sale/purchase but to also keep in mind that they will want to make smart decisions based on the best and most up to date data available. After all, a home is one of 50 • April 2022

@realproducers

This team effort fits in well with her traditional side of real estate, paired with another bucket opportunity for income. Plans are in the works to create a real estate investment and flipping training program for those looking to add a new stream to their income portfolio. Where Tanya and Ivan really shine and love working together is the creative aspect and design of their investment properties. From picking finishes, flooring, colors, layout, and everything in between, the transformative aspect of design is one of the most enjoyable parts of the whole process. Tanya and Ivan work together to keep their investments on schedule and in budget to generate above-average profits. It’s funny how Tanya, an English major, wound up so focused on numbers and data for a living.

Tanya and Ivan share four wonderful children — Preston (27), Connery (23), Israyel (20), and Rylee Quinn (5). “We make it a point to take family trips as often as possible,” she says. As a couple, Tanya and Ivan are avid scuba-divers, having logged hundreds of dives all over the planet. Being enthusiastic world travelers, they are always planning their next adventure. “I’m No Quitter”

There were times when Tanya thought about giving up on real estate because reinventing herself after the collapse of the banking system was a difficult river to ford, but quitting is not in her nature. She had a mantra she followed: “There is no failure. There are only people who give up, and I’m no quitter.”

“My mom always said I was stubborn, and she was right,” Tanya says. That stubborn nature and relentless pursuit has given her a drive that has carried her through the roughest times in the real estate market. Like her favorite superhero, Wonder Woman, Tanya loves to fight for those in trouble. Tanya gives back to the community by supporting organizations such as Women Rock, a local group that helps women with early detection of breast cancer, as well as helping them cover bills and providing other amazing kinds of support. Tanya is also responsible for bringing Bras for a Cause to Collin County which turned out to be one of Collin County’s most successful fundraisers to date for this fantastic nonprofit. Tanya has also served as President for Women’s Council of REALTORS® Collin County Chapter and gone on to serve at the state level as a TDVP, and today she actively serves on a committee for CCAR. What’s Next

In 2021, Tanya did around $25 million in sales volume, making her a winner of the Chairman’s Circle Award for Berkshire Hathaway, which places her in the top two percent in the entire company. Tanya is a multitime winner of the Chairman’s Circle Award, and this is just the beginning … 2022 and the future look to see even more growth.

THERE I S N O FA I LURE. THERE A RE ONLY P EOP L E WHO GI V E UP, A N D I ’ M N O QUI TTER.

Tanya’s faith, love of family, and strong positive purpose fuel her pursuit towards tomorrow.

Travis Plumb Levi Lascsak BLAZING NEW TRAILS When you envision and define the life and business you want, you empower yourself to reach it. That’s exactly what Travis Plumb and Levi Lascsak have done. As Team Leads with the Living in Dallas Team with eXp Realty, Travis and Levi both earned their real estate licenses in December of 2020. Since then, they have quickly reached lofty results in the business … and they’ve done so with an online video and social media approach that blazes new trails. “Travis and I met through mutual friends. I had a business that went south during 2020 because of the pandemic, and that’s what made me transition. I was concerned about going into licensed real estate, because I know that typically agents

struggle at first. I wanted a different way,” Levi remembers. “I didn’t want to get into cold calling, door knocking, and spending a bunch of money on advertising, so I was really looking for a way to attract business. I knew that would be through social media.”

Setting the Vision

They decided to master one platform first and researched a way to fast-track it. “Travis said he wanted to sell 100 homes in a year, and I wanted to focus on client attraction and acquisition. It was perfect timing when we met up. I wanted to focus on client acquisition and the marketing side of it. Travis loves sales,” Levi says. “As we got started, we felt like we were really aligned with working together and growing.”

Travis brought a background in marketing and advertising. “I had been in sales since I got out of the military in 2010. Both Levi and I are combat veterans. We knew that the conversion numbers were pretty low online,” Travis says. “I saw that Levi had started a YouTube channel.”

Signs of Success

Travis and Levi push out a steady stream of content through their Living in Dallas Texas YouTube channel. The results have been remarkable, including 621,000 views and had 66,700 watch hours. They have acquired more than 8,700 subscribers. The channel has generated

690 inbound leads. That led to 82 transactions, for a 12-percent conversion rate. In the process, they closed 64 units in the calendar year, representing $33.5 million in sales volume. As Travis says, “Today, with all of the deals we’ve closed, we’ve never made a single cold call. Now we have a team of 15 locally and more than 200 people across the U.S. and Canada.” “No one knew who we were when we got started, so we titled it around the location so it would be easy to find,” Levi says. “We did it all

organically … spending zero on marketing and advertising. What really allowed us to have this kind of success is that we approached this as marketers and business owners and not as a regular real estate agent. We looked at how to attract and scale business from the beginning.” Client-Centric Content

Travis and Levi post a couple of videos a week, focusing on neighborhoods and suburbs and bringing those visuals to life online.

“People see a house on Zillow, but they don’t see the retail and parks and setting around that home,” Travis says. “We just show that to people, so they have a better idea. We do a lot of driving footage. We paint a picture on video for people to see. We specialize in relocation. Dallas is one of the hottest destinations for that.”

Growing and Serving Others

As they look ahead, Travis and Levi are helping others build their business as well.

Away from work, Travis and Levi enjoy active lives.

“We’ve trained more than 1,000 agents over Zoom and Clubhouse apps. Real estate agents are hungry,” Levi says. “We’ve been able to help so many people and help them start their own channels in other states. We’re helping people build their own lead-generating tool.”

Travis enjoys time with his family, supporting school and sports activities. He also enjoys snowboarding, skiing, and being on the ocean.

“We want to find out their goals and help them get there. We always answer the phone when our team needs us,” Travis says.

Levi also looks forward to time at the beach, as well as enjoying time on the water. He’s also active in sports.

Congratulations to Travis and Levi. Day-by-day, they are providing visible, effective resources to clients … in the process, blazing new trails.

for his brokerage, Todd also hosts a live radio show in DFW each week, along with producing content for his YouTube channel. In college, Todd was certain he was going to go into ministry full-time, with an emphasis on youth ministry with YoungLife. “As a result, I oriented my degree toward speaking, writing, and teaching. I also grew up in a very entrepreneurial small business-minded home. I felt I would serve in ministry and then do something else on the side,” he says. Paths of Faith

Todd went to seminary at Truett Seminary near Baylor University. “Somewhere along the way, I felt called to business as a ministry rather than what most think of as full-time ministry at a church or parachurch ministry,” he recalls. “I had been reading a lot about wealth building and business … and real estate was a persistent topic. I started doing some investing in Houston, Waco, and Dallas … and we were flipping six or seven houses a month. In 2003, I got my real estate license to help with our flips.” Todd got married and moved to Dallas, working as a Director of Acquisitions for a Senior Housing organization. I got my Broker’s license in 2005 and then had another option. In time, Todd bought a discount franchise with a five-year agreement. “After three or four years, I knew that wasn’t the right model for me,” Todd says. “So after five years, I got out of the franchise and started a team with specialized agents, world-class marketing, and a great referral base. We’ve had steady, methodical growth ever since.”

Team Pride

The pride Todd feels for his 12-person team is easy to see. “We have almost exactly the same number of agents as we do staff. We have two marketing specialists (John Kanicka and Jeremy Payne), four buyer specialists (David Goss, Ryan

Morris, Andrew Smith, and Mari Arstein) and six staff (Ian Daniels, Team Lead; Robert Bember, Property Marketing Director; Brandon Wyatt, Client Care Coordinator; Leah Littenberg, Transaction

Manager; Mason Goss, Content Marketing Manager; and Todd’s wife and Finance Director, Dana Tramonte). Plus we have a couple of team members who float between roles,” he says. “We want our team members to have incredible lives and have balance. We are really connected with, and interdependent on, each other because we specialize in only sellers or buyers.”

The team’s numbers have been amazing, with an average of 200-plus deals a year and around $100 million in sales volume with just a handful of sales agents … and all the while maintaining a massive commitment to clients. That often gets lost at this level of production.

When it comes to serving others outside of the team, Todd and his family are very active in CityBridge Community Church, Lucas Christian Academy, YoungLife student outreach ministry, and a few other local and international organizations caring for children and sharing the gospel.

Family Fulfillment

Those who get to know Todd appreciate the way he actively works to build and strengthen the bonds he enjoys with those around him.

Away from work, Todd’s life is made richer by his family, including his wife, Dana, and their three children — 11-year-old son, Carter; 10-year-old daughter, Allie; and 6-year-old daughter, Lainey. In his free time, Todd enjoys camping and getting outdoors with his family. He also coaches his son’s baseball team. 74 • April 2022

“We’re really big on core values. We want to build relationships that our grandchildren would be proud of,” he says. “I hope that people see the love for Jesus I have in me. That is the umbrella over everything that I do.” @realproducers
