Is there a cost to me, the Realtor? No! And here is why: Our amazing approved business partners cover the cost of producing, printing, and mailing each issue through our advertising partnerships with them.

MORE DETAILS Approved Business Partners: My job as owner/publisher of Dallas Real Producers is to make sure we are only partnering with businesses that have been RECOMMENDED to us by a top 500 producing Realtor. Approved business partners will have an ad in every issue of the publication, attend our events, and be a part of our online community. We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. Only businesses that have been recommended to us by a top producing Realtor are eligible for a possible advertising partnership with us. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. We take a lot of pride in showcasing our approved partners, so if you are looking to add to your arsenal of incredible vendors, look no further. Give them a shot! Events: Be on the lookout for our quarterly social events and our LAUNCH PARTY in September! Along with the monthly publication you will be receiving, we will host various free events where we, the best-of-the-best, get together at reputable local venues to rub elbows, mastermind, develop relationships, and have a good time. We will communicate the different events we are hosting through the publication, e-mails, and social media. How to contribute: If you are interested in contributing, nominating Realtors for certain feature stories, would like to recommend a possible business, or would simply like to network, please e-mail me directly. I look forward to hearing from you! I’d also like to personally thank all of our approved business partners who have partnered with us, as well as the many realtors who helped bring Dallas Real Producers to life. Our community would not exist without you! I appreciate all of your support, and I’ll see you at our launch party in September! Allman Allie Beth

Making It Happen with Will & Tenacity With 2018 company volume over $2 billion, Allie Beth Allman knows what it takes to succeed in real estate.

had more than their work schedules in common. A year and a half later, the two were married.

“You just need tenacity and the will to do it — and then make it happen,” she smiles.

Discovering New Talent As time passed, the Allmans decided to sell their home. Allie Beth sold it herself.

While she’s president and CEO of the company that bears her name, Allie Beth is quick to credit the 400 agents and team members who work with her. As she explains, “This isn’t my company. It’s our company.” By any measure, Allie Beth is a Dallas real estate icon. And though she may be years and miles removed from where she grew up, her bigtime achievements are fueled by small-town grit. The Start of Something Big Growing up in Graham, Texas, Allie Beth couldn’t see her real estate future. In fact, when she graduated from TCU with a communications degree, she had her sights set on a position at WFAA in Dallas. “As I interviewed, they asked, ‘Can you type the log sheets that track what’s on the air?’ I said yes,” Allie Beth recalls.

Soon, their friends asked if Allie Beth would sell their home, too. So she hosted an open house for them one Sunday in 1980. The timing was perfect, since their friends were typically occupied on Sundays. “During the open house, people would come. There were two who were interested. I told them to go into the other room and fill out their offers,” Allie Beth remembers. Later that day, Allie Beth’s friends returned home and Allie Beth presented the offers to them. The husband was happy and asked her, “Which one do you want me to take?” She told him, he signed, and the deal was done.” Allie Beth’s friends were Tom and Alicia Landry. At the time, Tom was in the midst of his stellar 29-year career as head coach of the Cowboys. He had just finished coaching his team against the Redskins that day.

when Pierce said, “Allie Beth, I think you’re supposed to have a license to do that.” So, as Allie Beth says, “I went to school and got my license.” Building with Her Best Month by month and year by year, Allie Beth’s determination was tested. She had triumphs and disappointments. But each step of the way, she pushed forward with her trademark brand of determination. There were the times she had to crawl into a window to get inside her client’s home to conduct an open house when the key wouldn’t work. Or days navigating snow-covered streets to get to her next appointment. There was also the day she received a call asking for her help in working with George W. and Laura Bush as they looked for their next home.

There was just one problem. “I couldn’t type,” she admits. “But I went out, got a typewriter and practiced.” She got the job and stayed late, as did her boss at the time at WFAA — Pierce Allman. Allie Beth and Pierce

As she remembers, “One thing Tom told me later that meant so much to me was, ‘My strength is I always knew how to pick talent. And I picked you.’” Soon another friend asked for Allie Beth to sell their home, too. That’s

The solid, consistent thread through the years has been Allie Beth’s passion for what she does. “I am very blessed, and I love what I do. In fact, I loved it from day one,” she smiles. “The relationships are what I love more than anything — the relationships with my agents and my customers. I love my agents and helping them do well. them and my staff, I wouldn’t have a company. We have a great staff, and I love all of them.”

dren. She also enjoys gardening, being outdoors and taking in all types of events at TCU.

Together, Allie Beth and her team have built success — a quality that Allie Beth says doesn’t come down to dollars and cents.

Forward with Purpose As Allie Beth thinks about the next generation of real estate agents, she starts with four simple words.

“It’s not money. That comes if you’re successful in building business with the right standards … by being ethical and working hard and always telling the truth. I never know what I’m making, even at the closing table,” she explains.

“Do not give up. If you will work enough and in the way that your broker helps you, make a plan of how you want to succeed and work that plan ethically and never ever compromise on your ethics. I don’t care if it costs you money,” she urges. “If you keep your reputation and keep working, that’s how people will remember you and how well you did, and they will refer you. It’s all a referral business. It’s the same concept in any business.”

One measure of success for Allie Beth — is the joy she feels for her family. She and Pierce have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and three grandchil-

Allie Beth recommends focus over competition. “Just do the best you can do. Don’t worry about what others are doing,” she explains. “If you’re doing your best, it will work for you.” As Allie Beth looks to the future, she carries her same spirit of determination. “My hope is the people I work with feel that I’m very fair to them, and that I help them, and that I’m always honest with them, and they can always count on me,” Allie Beth says. “I look forward to keep on, keeping on. I want to still be blessed with good health and going to the office every day and doing what I love to do.” Will. Tenacity. And dedication. For Allie Beth Allman, they’re all part of a day’s work — and a life’s success.

SUCCESS WITH STYLE

change Ace’s life walked through the doors. “The client was Mark Cain of Mark Cain Properties Group,” Ace recalls. “He came in one day, and he needed some clothes, and I helped him shop.” With Ace’s customer service skills, that was just the start of the story. “I texted Mark from time to time to let him know what we had in the store. So he would periodically come in and continue to shop and work with me,” Ace remembers. Ace was curious about his client and delved a little deeper.

Today, Ace Lahli is one of the region’s Rising Stars as an agent with Compass Real Estate. After taking a couple of different paths, he literally found his calling with a career based on building success with style. First Impressions Several years ago, Ace was helping people as a member of the financial industry. He served an important role as a financial advisor with J.P. Morgan Chase. His career was solid, but his feelings about it weren’t. And it was starting to show a bit.

“So I made the decision that I was going to leave the financial industry and go into retail,” Ace remembers. “And my friend said, ‘Are you sure that’s a good move?” And I said, ‘I don’t know, but if not, I’m going to use it as a stepping stone to figure out what I want to do in life.’” So he made the move. And before too long, Ace was on the retail floor at Nordstrom. “I worked as a combination salesperson and stylist,” he says.

“I asked him what he did professionally, and he told me that he worked in real estate,” Ace explains. “I told him that I had always been passionate about that, especially with the architecture with modern homes, but I never knew what path to take into it.” Mark had some advice for Ace. “Mark said, “Look at Champions School of Real Estate, and go get your license. If you do, I’ll hire you on my spot, and you’ll have a place on my team guaranteed.’” Ace was astounded and excited by the offer.

“One day, one of my friends came to me, and he said, ‘You look like you’re miserable.’” Ace recalls. “I said, ‘Yeah, I am.’ And he just gave me some advice. He said that I should go find my passion and pursue it.”

It was a job Ace really enjoyed. And he took great pride in the customer service he gave to people who would come in. He listened thoughtfully to what they were looking for, then gave them options and suggestions for them to consider.

“So I went home and Googled Mark to see how legit this opportunity was,” he laughs. “Sure enough, I found out how legit he really was. And so from that day on, I enrolled in the classes, and it took me about six months because I went at my own pace and they were all online.”

Ace took the advice to heart. He looked at his interests and his talents. He loved clothing and fashions.

A Promise Made and Kept One day, a new client that would

Once his work was complete, Ace pulled out his phone.

Ace tried to put a good face on it, but there was nothing he could do.

“At the end of the six months, I texted him, and I said, ‘Hey Mark, I got my real estate license,’ Ace smiles. “Mark wrote back, ‘Congratulations. I’ll see you in the office Monday.’ That was it!” Pursuing New Passion Ace dove in and started his new role as a real estate agent in 2016. Like most new entrants to the business, he found the transition was challenging. “I quickly realized I hadn’t saved up nearly enough money. It was tough going from getting a paycheck every two weeks to not knowing exactly when you’re going to get a paycheck. And so luckily I had savings, so I was able to get by,” Ace recalls. “So I tell people interested in going into real estate that they’ll need six to eight months saved up, because you’re going to need money to market yourself and advertise. You have to spend money to make money and in real estate, that couldn’t be more true. You have to get out there and find ways to get that business. It’s not just going to come to you.” In the three years since then, Ace has found his path in the business and is successfully making his way. In fact, he’s been featured in the “20 Under 40” lists published by Preston Hollow and Park Cities People publications. The Shoe Fits When he’s not working, Ace enjoys a wide range of pursuits, including flag football, video gaming and trying new restaurants. He also continues his strong interest in fashion. “I have a pretty good collection of shoes and sneakers,” he laughs. At the same time, Ace likes putting himself in the shoes of his customers — to understand their needs. It’s one of the passions he has for real estate.

Roofing & Construction, Inc. Full Capabilities. Focused Quality.

Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc., gets the job done. And it is their mission to get the job done RIGHT the first time. This longstanding commitment to superior service and quality was established 35 years ago by company founder Rick Hewitt, and it’s being carried on by his son, Jameson, and a full team of professionals at the Plano-based community fixture.

Putting Service First Michael E. Bradley is Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc.’s Networking and Relationships Director. Working side by side with him is Regional Operations Manager Jason D. York. “We are Phoenix Roofing AND Construction. We’re storm restoration construction specialists. For example, as a national company, we’re licensed in a number of states and are even

helping with the restoration efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael that pushed through Florida,” Michael explains. “And it’s very gratifying to see the before and after of that work. There’s nothing better than seeing a roof that has been beat up by hail, a hurricane, or other wind storms, and then seeing the final end product once the restoration is complete.”

gutters and fencing on the outside,” Michael says. “We also do commercial properties, as well. And our roofing abilities run the full spectrum — including metal roofs and ceramic and Spanish tile roofs.” Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc. strives to leave a project better than what it was.

Michael points out the team’s full range of capabilities inside and out. “We do a wide range of construction projects, including interior storm restoration jobs, such as crown molding, drywall repair, and other interior repairs and development, as well as

As Michael says, “Everyone on our team of 80 professionals is working in the same direction to see the project through to completion. It’s our passion to ensure that things are done correctly the first time. We don’t have those problems because we have the

right crews in the right places that have the experience.” Quality All Around Part of the equation for a successful replacement, repair, or building project is having the right pieces to work with. “We use top-rated materials. We don’t get by with cheap materials, and then hope for the best. For example, we give a five-year warranty on our roofing systems. So if you ever have a leak or other issue, we come out and repair it for free,” Michael emphasizes. “Beyond those five years, if there’s something that turns out to be wrong with the shingle, we’ll come out and take care of it and work with the manufacturer ourselves to resolve the issue, so that the client doesn’t even need to deal with that side of things.” Signs of Success One sure sign of success is what others say — or don’t say — about Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc. You’ll find many with positive reviews. At the same time, the company is A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau — with an astounding total of zero complaints. Financial Advantages In addition, Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc. offers discounts to first

responders and military active-duty personnel and veterans. They like to thank everyone for their public service. Michael E. Bradley is a former United States Marine himself. Plus, the company offers a range of financing programs, including 100% financing with approved credit. They also take special care of their realtor partners. When a home is for sale and the roof needs to be repaired or replaced, Phoenix Roofing & Construction will work with the seller’s insurance company and work fast to complete the job before the date of closing. In some cases when the home is for sale and the insurance money was received previously but not spent on the roof or a claim was denied and is unavailable to pay for repairs, Phoenix Roofing & Construction, Inc. will make the necessary repairs for the seller of the home and then get paid directly when the loan closes and funds. This program is available with a fully executed contract by sellers, buyers, and real estate agents. Local Leadership Too often, bad weather can be followed by a flurry of questionable, temporary contractors—in many cases, people from outside the area who may be hard—or impossible—to reach again after the job is done. Your warranty with them will be worthless. “That’s why you want to stay local with an established company rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau, plus other associations like we are accredited with,” Michael says. “Texas doesn’t require a license to be a general contractor or a roofer in the state. However, we are part of the voluntary roofing licensing program with RCAT (Roofing Contractors

Association of Texas.) We’re also members of the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association — an organization where you have to be in business for two years and also referred by two other roofing companies even to be considered.” They are members of many Chambers of Commerce and Michael has earned the title of “Ambassador” with Plano and Frisco chambers of commerce.
