Big Changes Coming to Real Producers This Year publisher’s note If you are reading this, then you should give yourself a big pat on the back! That means you have made the Real Producers Top 500 list for 2022! CONGRATS! For some of you, this is the first time you are receiving this publication, and you may not know entirely what it is all about yet. Others of you have been receiving the Real Producers publication every month since 2018. Either way, you will want to tune in to the rest of this publisher’s note, because I am going to give you a bit of a recap on what we’re all about, as well as fill you in on some new and exciting changes that are coming to Real Producers in 2022. First, you are receiving this magazine because you are a Top 500 producing real estate agent (based off your annual MLS production numbers) in your given area! That means that each month you will receive this publication, which is exclusive for the highest producing agents in the market, every single month, for the next 11 months. Consider it a badge of honor! Being in the Top 500, you also have the opportunity to be featured in our publication to share your story, and, the beautiful thing is, there is no cost to you. It is a testament to you and your hard work! We certainly cannot guarantee a feature, but if you would like to be considered for one, here are a few quick tips to increase your chances: meet up with a member of our team, support Real Producers, and attend our private events (three events/year). If that doesn’t work for you, we also accept large sums of money. Kidding! No agent can buy their way into Real Producers. All of the businesses that are a part of Real Producers have been recommended by top producing agents and vetted by us. They are our Real Producers Vetted
realproducersmag.com
Businesses, and this community could not be possible without them! If you are looking for some of the best businesses in the market to work with, look no further than here. There are currently three Real Producers’ markets in DFW: North Dallas, Dallas, and North Fort Worth. Last year, Tarrant County was one publication, called Tarrant Real Producers, and after some contemplation and a year of being in print, we realized that Tarrant County really should be split up into two different markets. So, starting with this issue, Tarrant Real Producers is now split into North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers is currently in ramp-up and won’t be in print until later 2022. That means that out of the approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW, Real Producers collectively brings together the top 2,000 producing real estate agents and vetted businesses! Huge congrats to each and every one of you. Be sure to reference the DFW Map and FAQ Page in this publication for more details. Last year was an amazing one for the Real Producers community, and we cannot wait to raise the bar in 2022! Cheers, Jordan Espeseth Owner jordan.epseseth@realproducersmag.com

Mr. Connector realtor® on the rise Written by: Dave Danielson Photos by: Samantha Farris
The efforts you dedicate to your clients link them up with new opportunities for the future.
When he did, Russ remembers the graduation gift his grandfather gave him.
Russ Kidwell is someone who definitely has a knack for that, too.
“He gave me a can of shoe polish and a watch. He said, ‘A man can always afford two things … soap and shoe polish and also be on time — to show respect for other people,’” Russ says. “He also emphasized the importance of making friends with people from all walks of life, whether they are the custodian or the president of the company.”
As a Broker Associate with Keller Williams DFW Marketplace in Southlake, and as this month’s Rising Star, Russ is also known as Mr. Connector. “When I was growing up, my grandparents instilled in me that people are very important. I look at each of us as having concentric circles of concern,” Russ says.
Professional Path
As Russ came of age, he had worked with a major airline … teaching and writing curriculum. “Each person is in a circle that represents who At the same time, he also started buying, selling, we are and our strengths and remodeling properand interests, and so many ties — something he has circles overlap. Celebrating Success
It didn’t take Russ long to really appreciate his decision and see the fruits of his efforts. “I made more money during my first quarter in the business than I had made in any full year working for the airline,” he says. His record of achievement has been rewarding all the way around through time with a blend of residential and commercial real estate. But, as Russ stated, “There is so much more than just numbers. The thing that I am thankful for is the relationships that I have been able to build.”
As Russ reflects with gratitude on his ever-growing career, he offers helpful advice for others who are getting their own start in the business.
I emphatically stress that they know their definition of success as they enter the field. Your success may be different than anyone else’s. Success is more than just numbers for some, and that is OK.
“We have 600-plus agents. We have started a mentorship program called Kickstart-U. I am fortunate enough to be involved with the program and have the position of Dean to Protégé. I encourage them to interview and create a personal sphere, a team if you will, of title people, lenders, roofers, inspectors, contractors, exterminators, etc. Take them to coffee and build working relationships early on.” A Life of Rewards
Away from work, Russ looks forward to time spent with his family and grandchild. In his free time, he’s also a big foodie, exploring local restaurants, shopping, and travel. When it comes to giving back, Russ has a big place in his heart for veterans’ organizations, including the Wounded Warrior Project, along

with groups such as the American Cancer Society and the Susan B. Komen Research Foundation.
“I will encourage people who are interested in going into real estate all the way, and I will try to guide them in getting the education that they need,” he says. “Also, I encourage them to be nice, have a heart, and continue to study. I emphatically stress that they know their definition of success as they enter the field. Your success may be different than anyone else’s. Success is more than just numbers for some, and that is OK.”
Leading by Example
As soon as you talk with Russ, you immediately realize that he is a genuine, approachable person who gives all he has to help those around him. “One of the things that makes me feel great is when I connect a person or family with a home, or, an investor with a property, and they, in turn, connect me with their parents, their children, their extended family, their friends, their co-workers ... their circles,” he says. Congratulations to this month’s REALTOR® on the Rise, Russ Kidwell, who makes a real impact on the lives and futures of those around him as Mr. Connector.

FAQ ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE
Real Producers magazine started in Indianapolis in 2015 and is now in over 100 markets across the nation and continues to spread rapidly. Real Producers first launched in DFW in August of 2018 with North DFW Real Producers (now called “North Dallas”). In May 2019, Dallas Real Producers launched and then Tarrant Real Producers in March of 2021. In 2022 Tarrant Real Producers split into two publications, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers will go to print later this year. Q: WHO RECEIVES REAL PRODUCERS MAGAZINE? A: The top 500 real estate agents in each of the four markets in DFW based on their MLS Production for the previous year. Refer to the map in this publication for the exact territories. If your broker address is within that given territory, and you are in the top 500, then you will receive that publication for the year. There are approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW. The list will reset at the end of every year and will continue to update annually. Q: WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS MAGAZINE? A: We believe that we are better together. When we surround ourselves with other successful, like-minded people, we grow to new heights. Real Producers is a platform the brings together the most elite individuals in DFW Real Estate. In every market, we take the Top 500 real estate agents, and RP Vetted Businesses, and we build an exclusive community around that group. We share their stories, successes, market trends, upcoming events — really, anything that will connect, inform and inspire, we put in our monthly publication. Q: DOES REAL PRODUCERS HAVE EVENTS? A: Yes! Each community will have two main events a year, and then we do a combined event at the end of the year, which is an awards gala called The ESPE’s. For these events, we invite the Top 500 real estate agents and our RP Vetted Businesses. Top 500 agents are allowed to invite members on their team as well. These events are an incredible opportunity to connect with the best of the best in DFW real estate. It is amazing to see the power realproducersmag.com
in the connections made at these events. Be on the lookout for your exclusive invites! Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE? A: It’s really simple. You have to be on the Top 500 list, and we take nominations seriously. You can nominate other real estate agents, businesses, brokers, owners, or even yourself! Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone brought to our attention who is in the Top 500 because we don’t know everyone’s story, so we need your help to learn about them. We cannot guarantee a feature but to increase your chances we encourage you to meet with one of our team members, support Real Producers, and attend our private events. You can email your nominations to jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com Q: WHAT DOES IT COST A REAL ESTATE AGENT/TEAM TO BE FEATURED? A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. It costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-to-play model. We share real stories of real producers. Q: WHO IS THE RP VETTED BUSINESSES? A: They are one of the best businesses in DFW in their category and you can find them listed in our index! We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One of many of the top real estate agents has recommended every single business you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. Our team will further vet every business to make sure they are a good fit and bring value to our community. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network, not only for the best real estate agents in the area but the best businesses, as well, so we can grow stronger together. Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A BUSINESS? A: If you know and want to recommend a business that works with top real estate agents, please email us to let us know at jordan.espeseth@realproducersmag.com. North Fort Worth Real Producers • 19

A True Team Approach 24 • February 2022
You’ve heard it said that there’s strength in numbers. That holds true when it comes to the inspection process, as well. HomeTeam Inspection Service brings that principle to life in homes across the area with a true team approach to its home inspections. Pride and Impact
Dale and Nancy Lockamy are the owners of the company. When you talk with them, it’s easy to see the pride they have in the impact they and their team has in helping clients make an informed decision about their home purchase. “We are the only inspection company that operates the way we do with a team-based approach. By us having two inspectors show up at the same time, we bring more experience to each home inspection which allows us to do more inspections each day as compared to the typical inspector,” Dale says. “In fact, when a team shows up, they bring over 1,000 inspections between them by year end. That leads to more knowledge. We are very thorough with the process. Plus, we are very un-alarming. It’s like telling a story. We present the information in a positive manner.” When you talk with Dale and Nancy, it’s easy to see the rewarding feeling they and their team members get from what they do. Putting Experience to Work
world-class logistics companies, after starting his career as a mechanical engineer at Texas Instruments. “I’m really a businessman owning a home inspection company. I’ve always been blessed to manage impactful teams,” he says. “About six years ago, I decided to leave the corporate world and felt I had one good run left in me. I didn’t know for sure what I was going to do. After researching a sundry of options, I went with HomeTeam Inspection Service.” In that time, Dale and Nancy have shepherded the company to lofty levels of success. In fact, their franchise ranks number four out of 156 local franchises that the parent company has nationally. HomeTeam Inspection Service has a team of six inspectors, including a lead and support inspector for each property. In some cases involving larger properties, as many as four inspectors work together on the inspection. “Our teammates are seasoned veterans which adds to the experience.” The path that Dale and Nancy share in life and work is rewarding. “We’ve been married for 34 years,” Nancy says. “Our oldest is 31, and I was a stay-at-home mom for a lot of years. I was also a preschool teacher at a Christian school for ten years. I came on board about five years ago. We decided that if we were going to do this, we need to do this together, and let’s do this right.”
When they started the franchise for HomeTeam Inspection Service, Dale and Nancy brought a lot of valuable experience and expertise.
Individual Attention

We want to be seamless, simple, and part of the equation. I try to take something off their plate and make this easy. 26 • February 2022
“Every house is unique, and we approach every inspection that way. We have many relationships with people. Our approach is about adapting to their personalities and how our partners approach the transaction,” Dale says. “We want to be seamless, simple, and part of the equation. I try to take something off their plate and make this easy.” “We try to provide the best customer service, starting with the initial inspection inquiry to scheduling the inspection,” Nancy says. “I’m full-time in our office. Our relationship isn’t just done when the inspection is over. Dale and team takes the time to answer follow-up calls with the buyers or agents, even well after the inspection.” Flexible Professionalism
As Dale says, he and Nancy made a conscious decision not to outsource their service. In turn, they offer their partners and clients a flexible process. “We make ourselves available seven days a week and book inspections for 48 hours or less. We show empathy and relate to what they are relating to. We are always available. We pick up the phone. When a REALTOR® calls, we never let it roll,” he emphasizes. “That’s how we approach the business.”
Dale, Nancy, and the their family
In their free time, they enjoy a wide range of activities. As Nancy says, “We do a lot of family time, board games, horseshoes, and we like to go camping together as a family and vacation together.”
Fulfilling Life
Away from work, Dale and Nancy look forward to time with their family, including their three sons, their two daughters-in-law, and are looking forward to welcoming their first granddaughter into the world in April. “We are all about family. That’s the most important thing to both of us. We’ve taken a lot of pride in teaching them a very strong work ethic. We teach them to do right things and be respectful of all people. You treat people the way you want to be treated and be accountable.”
Those who work with and get to know Dale, Nancy, and the rest of the HomeTeam Inspection Service crew rely on their reputation for informative, thorough service and a tireless drive to take care of people. LEADING BY LEARNING FOR THE LONG-TERM Those who make a name for themselves in this or any business do so by consistently doing the right things over time.
“At that point with teenagers, you’re changing lives. It was a great time … seeing young people become adults,” he says. “Plus, I was getting to teach something that I was very passionate about.”
Todd Bingham is no exception to that. As Broker/Owner with Willow Real Estate, Todd leads through long-term learning. “Someone once told me the stakes are too high to fake it until you make it,” Todd says. “I always encourage agents to never stop learning. A solid education in this industry makes a difference and can easily give an agent a competitive edge.” Following His Path
Todd was born and raised in the Bedford area. After high school, he had his sights set on studying business, so he attended the University of Texas at Arlington. “While I was there, I had one of the greatest professors ever who really sparked my interest in real estate,” he remembers. “So, I focused on real estate while earning my business management degree.”
In time, Todd decided to pursue an interest he had in real estate. He earned his license 17 years ago and began his journey. “At first, I thought I could be an agent part time and focus on serving clients during the summer,” he recalls. “I fell in love with helping others, and my business grew so rapidly that I could not do both for very long.” Eventually, Todd went full-time into real estate. But he continued to apply his strong belief in education to his career as a REALTOR®. In the process, he has amassed more than 16 designations and certifications. “There are meaningful and important lessons in every single one of these courses,” Todd emphasizes. “I’ve always been an education guy and believe in the value of learning. It leads to true confidence and equips you to better serve your clients.” Leading by Example
After graduating from college, Todd went into education. In the process, he was continuing a true family legacy in that field. “Both of my parents were teachers in HEB ISD for a long time. Seeing the differences that they made in their student’s lives inspired me to go into education. I lucked out and got to teach business classes for several years at a wonderful school.” Excellence through Education
The experience of working with young people was unforgettable for him.

Away from work, Todd treasures time with his wife of 15 years, Nancy, and their two children — 12-yearold son, Blake, who just started at Heritage Middle School, and 9-yearold daughter, Ella, who is a student at Grapevine Elementary School. In their free time, Todd and his family like exploring their hometown of Grapevine and going on road trips. Plus, Todd is spending time studying the Bible and deepening his faith. Giving back is an important part of life for Todd, too. He enjoys his role with MetroTex Association of REALTORS®, where he will serve as the Vice Chair for the Professional Development Committee. Todd will also serve as a member of the Texas Realtors Member Benefits Committee. Plus, Todd has volunteered for Tarrant County Meals on Wheels for several years. As he says, “I love volunteering for Meals on Wheels, because I get to serve people in my community on a weekly basis.”
I’M BLESSED TO HAVE A HUGE COLLECTION OF FRIENDSHIPS WITH PEOPLE WHO I HAVE WORKED WITH. THE CONNECTIONS AND FRIENDSHIPS ARE MY FAVORITE PART OF THIS CAREER.

All the Right Reasons You can recognize true leadership in life and business because the people who lead for others do it by putting those they serve first.
Early on, he became comfortable with being a musician and entertainer.
“I grew up on a stage. During my first Christmas play, I played the lead role when I was six years old,” he says. “When I was nine years old, my mom was the church organist. I learned how to play the drums and began performing on stage at church.”
Dustin Wright is living proof of that. Early Crossroads
As Team Leader with Keller Williams Realty, Dustin helps those around him … and he does it for all of the right reasons. “Gary Keller says the number-one job of a leader is to teach people how to think. No matter what, I’m always challenging the way people think about things,” Dustin says. “I have a drive to make a difference. As part of that, I get a chance to influence people to make really cool changes in their lives.” Leading by Example
Dustin earned his real estate license about seven years ago. Today, a big part of Dustin’s day-to-day role is supporting the efforts of more than 650 agents. That’s a big stage to lead from. But then again, Dustin has had a lot of experience on stage through life. After being born and spending part of his childhood in Des Moines, Iowa, Dustin and his family moved to Texas when he was six years old.
44 • February 2022
As Dustin came of age, he continued performing through high school. He acted, did some local civic theater, and earned a fine arts scholarship. At the same time, during his senior year of high school, Dustin became a Christian and felt the calling to be a pastor. With the choice before him to go to New York and pursue a theatrical career or become a pastor, he chose the latter. Dustin encountered some stops and starts during his journey to becoming a pastor. “I racked up several demerits, then took a year off before going back to pastoral school in Pensacola. It turned out I needed to sit out another year. Then, when I went back, the disciplinary review board didn’t let me back into the program.” A New Door Opens
The disappointment Dustin felt in that moment also let to discovery.
“I knew God called me to be a pastor, but not necessarily in a church,” he remembers. “I had been leading worship for a church and playing music when the pastor there connected me with a guy in Miami.” Dustin moved to Miami and began working at a music-on-hold company. He worked in tech support there. But he soon demonstrated eye-catching abilities beyond his core role. “Through my tech support role, I started upselling clients on new equipment,” he recalls. “In fact, I was outselling the salespeople. Through that experience, I realized I had a knack for sales.” It wasn’t long before the company sold out to another organization, and Dustin was laid off. “Good things came out of that. I was picking up odds-and-ends jobs and worked at Starbucks, where I met my wife there,” he smiles. Gaining Experience
Before long, Dustin’s brother called with a new opportunity. “He was doing a lot of speaking and training events for corporations for a title insurance company client. This company wanted to hire me to do more of them. He called me for help, so I moved to Amarillo, Texas, and we started taking on more companies nationally,” Dustin says. “Our claim to fame was we would fly in, get in the car, and then go on sales calls with local salespeople. We would grade them and give them

feedback. We did 1,500 sales calls a year. I learned a lot in the process of teaching and training.” In the meantime, Dustin and his wife began their family. When they welcomed their daughter into the world, Dustin decided to get off the road and went to work for a title insurance company in Dallas. “When I went to work there, I got my real estate license to use in my business. I did sales training and behavioral training for them,” Dustin explains. “As part of that, I trained real estate agents on that, along with speaking engagements and events.” Joining Keller Williams
In time, one of Dustin’s friends faced a cancer diagnosis and asked Dustin to help him run his companies. “I took care of the people, and another guy took care of the numbers,” Dustin says. “We had five companies, and I got a heavy crash course in business and entrepreneurship. Eventually, we sold off those companies, and then I went back to the title business. That’s where I got connected with my predecessor here at Keller Williams, and six months later, I joined the team here.” Through time, Dustin has continued to foster the growth and development of the members of the Keller Williams brokerage. Fulfilling Life
Family is at the heart of life for Dustin. He looks forward to time with his wife, Debora, and their children — 17-year-old daughter, Sophia, and 14-year-old son, Gavin. They also have two dogs — Jagger and Ozzie. In his free time, Dustin loves music. He volunteers in the worship department of his church, and he hosts songwriting sessions for other musicians in the congregation. He and Debora also have a heart for helping — volunteering to work with area youth. 46 • February 2022
Boosting Belief
Dustin is guided in his efforts by a few key core values, including authenticity, honesty, strength, being teachable, and humility. Those who know Dustin appreciate his tireless belief in others … and his relentless pursuit of their potential. “I believe if you have talent, you shouldn’t waste an ounce of it. In life, it’s easy to have one perspective. But I think we should have multiple perspectives on things,” Dustin says. “I get a huge win when I see lightbulb moments and being able to provoke thoughts in people. One of my gifts is I am an encourager. I put courage in people.” In some cases, Dustin has been known to argue with people who downplay their own talents. In those instances, he does his best to awaken their belief in themselves. “I believe that you have to stand for someone’s greatness more than they stand for their limitations,” he emphasizes. “The statements that stand in the way of our future are things like, ‘I can’t,’ ‘I don’t,’ and ‘I won’t.’ The very thing you can’t do is the thing you should do.” @realproducers

Pursuing a Passion
cover story Written by: Dave Danielson Photos by: Samantha Farris
Keely began her journey in real estate 17 years ago … after refreshing an interest she had long had in the business. “It was early December in 2005, and I remember taking my daughter to swim team practice. A friend dropped by. As I asked my friend what she was doing, she mentioned real estate. In that moment, I thought that was something I had always wanted to do,” Keely remembers.
The plans you help your clients roll out into reality are obviously about more than just changing addresses. It’s about passing one stage of life to another.
“My kids were in fourth and sixth grade, and I thought, ‘Gosh, we have to have a means to pay for college.’ Two weeks later, I was in class and had my license by the end of December.”
Keely Harris thrives on the feeling of that transition.
Learning and Growing
As a REALTOR® with eXp Realty, Keely is there to lead her clients into a new chapter in their lives. “The most rewarding thing is sitting at the closing table for those first-time homebuyers and being able to hand the keys over to them … knowing I was part of them achieving the American dream by purchasing a home,” Keely says. “Along the way, I’ve sold everything from mobile homes to million-dollar homes.” There to See Them Through
Those chapters aren’t always by choice. Yet, Keely is there with a steady hand to guide them through. “It means a lot being able to walk with people. A lot of times, people who I have worked with in the past come back who are getting a divorce, downsizing, or going to assisted living,” she explains. “Recently, I had a couple I had worked with who were getting a divorce and met with them for an uncomfortable discussion at their house. I prayed for them and asked the Lord to put His hands into that marriage. Three days later they called and said, ‘We are working it out and not selling.’ It made me feel good that I was part of that.”
52 • February 2022
Soon she was on her way. Keely got her start at Keller Williams and quickly joined a team. “I was like a sponge and learned everything I could from him. I stayed there about ten years and then branched off on my own,” Keely recalls. “I felt I could give people more of a personalized service, rather than pass someone off to a listing agent.” Rapid Rise
By the end of her first month as an individual agent, she had ten new listings, and her business continued blossoming. She hasn’t slowed down since. In fact, in 2021, she finished the year with an estimated total of $20 million in sales volume. Rewarding Life
Family is at the heart of life for Keely. She treasures time with her children — her son, Anthony, and her daughter, Tori. “They were the driving factor in my success,” Keely says with a warm smile. “I got divorced in 2010. Yet I put both kids through college on my own as a single mom. I feel very proud of that.”

The business is always changing & always something new to learn. Away from work, Keely is active in her church, Milestone Church in Keller. She also has a love of traveling. “Getting away is my reward for working so hard. It helps me disconnect. We usually go somewhere three or four times a year,” she says. “I’m able to take my kids, and we go off and see the world. I like making memories with them.” Sharing Her Gifts
As Keely moves forward into the next stages of her career as an ongoing Top Producer, she reflects and offers advice for others getting their own start in the business. “The best experience for me has been with eXp Realty. I was always one to help other agents and help them grow their business. So, I feel I fit in well with eXp Realty, because our motto is collaboration over competition,” Keely says. “There’s always someone that I could pick up the phone and ask them about what they do at open houses or for lead generation. I’ve been with them for three years, and that’s how it’s always been with them. I’m learning a lot. The business is always changing and always something new to learn.” With a spirit of gratitude and lifelong learning, Keely Harris meets the needs of her clients each day … leading the way during their new chapters in life. 54 • February 2022
