HERE WE GROW AGAIN!
As I pen this note on November 14th, the eve of our much-anticipated ESPE Awards Gala, I am enveloped in a familiar mix of excitement and reflection. By the time this reaches you, it will be mid-December, the gala a cherished memory in our collective rearview.
Looking back at my note from last year, I find it fascinating how certain emotions and doubts have a way of revisiting us, albeit in different guises. Last year, I grappled with the uncertainty of following up on our inaugural event’s success. This year, the challenge is different yet eerily similar: “Can we continue to raise the bar? Can we not just meet but exceed the high standards we’ve set for ourselves?” Success, I’ve realized, is not a destination but a journey – one punctuated with milestones and moments of introspection. Each achievement, each event like the ESPE Awards, is not just an end but a stepping stone to further excellence. The doubts and questions that hover around our endeavors aren’t signs of weakness but indicators of our commitment to continually push the boundaries of excellence. In the past year, my faith has been a cornerstone, as unwavering as ever. It’s been a period of growth, learning, and, most

importantly, recognizing that the grace and favor in my life flow from a source greater than myself. I am reminded daily that the successes we celebrate, the connections we forge, and the recognition we bestow upon the best in our industry are all a part of a larger plan, one that we are blessed to play a role in. As we come together for another ESPE Awards Gala, I am filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the journey, for the lessons, for the community we’ve built. This event is more than just an awards ceremony; it’s a testament to our collective resilience, creativity, and unyielding pursuit of excellence in our lives and in business. To all the nominees, RP Vetted Business Partners, and everyone who makes the ESPE Awards a highlight of our year – thank you. Your passion, hard work, and dedication are what makes this event, and our industry, truly exceptional. Okay, now, I need to get back to ESPE prep. If one were to trace the path Brenton Bridges has carved through life, two elements stand out prominently: the strong pull of family and a deep-seated desire to serve. Today, as one of Fort Worth’s leading REALTORS® at Monument Realty, these two core values are as integral to Brenton as the bayous of Baton Rouge, where he was born and raised. “I was called to healthcare as my first career for the same reason,” Brenton recalls, reflecting on his 14-year stint as a physical therapist assistant. “I’ve just taken that same heart of service and plugged it into the real estate industry.” It’s a journey from the banks of the Mississippi River to the bustling yet intimate lanes of Fort Worth, Texas, one that saw him embrace opportunities and weather storms, always with family and service leading the way. BIG DREAMS, BIGGER HURDLES
Brenton’s entry into real estate in February 2020 coincided with a global pandemic, challenging his resolve. But instead of despairing, he used this downtime to focus on personal growth, immersing himself in several real estate and business books. By 2021, he wasn’t just back on track, but sprinting forward. This resilience is reminiscent of his marathons, where he not only races for personal milestones but often for causes close to his heart, like the Colon Cancer Coalition 5K, in memory of his mother, and raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. You can also find Brenton with his team, The Funky Town Misfits, running the Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth. It’s this blend of personal drive and purpose that sets Brenton apart.

For him, the thrill of the job is in “sharing the experience with people as they make BIG lifestyle changes.” Buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction; it’s a profound shift in life’s narratives. As he puts it, “Seeing the excitement and relief when they finish that shift is a big rush of feel good hormones for me.” HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
Despite his professional achievements, including being named D Magazine’s Top Producer in 2022, it’s clear that Brenton’s world revolves around his family. He beams with pride talking about his daughters: Amerah, the 14-year-old volleyball enthusiast with a penchant for discovering new coffee shops, and Analia, the latest addition to the Bridges’ clan. Then there’s Stacey, his soulmate, business partner, and biggest supporter, in every sense. “Choosing the right partner is the most important decision one can make,” he asserts, “Stacey is an absolute asset and beacon of light for me.” His role as a family man extends beyond his immediate circle. Brenton mentions a “Close with Curly Family,” where clients aren’t just transactions but part of a lifelong relationship of service and value. And yes, there’s a very delicious family gathering on the horizon – the inaugural Close with Curly Crawfish boil in 2024, a nod to his south Louisiana roots. LEADING WITH SERVICE
The title of “President of Steer Fort Worth” awaits Brenton in 2024. It’s another opportunity for him to serve, to make Fort Worth a thriving hub of work and play. His multicultural background gifts him a unique perspective, helping him to not just connect with a diverse range of clients but truly

understand them. As he candidly states, it’s about being “authentic and putting yourself out there. The people meant for you will come.” For Brenton, success isn’t just about volume or awards, although he impressively closed deals worth $11.2M last year. It’s about being “at peace with yourself.” Perhaps this is why he’s equally passionate about coaching and mentoring, ensuring that Monument Realty’s ethos of service is passed down to every new agent that walks through their doors.

A LEGACY OF KINDNESS AND IMPACT
In the fast-paced world of real estate, where each day presents a different challenge, Brenton Bridges stands out not just as an accomplished REALTOR®, but as a testament to the enduring values of family and service. His legacy? “Being a great father and a kind, impactful human being.” So, whether he’s racing motorcycles, leading a marathon for a noble cause, cooking up a pot of gumbo, or sealing a home deal, one thing’s for sure: Brenton Bridges embodies the spirit of Fort Worth – a perfect blend of big city ambition with the warmth and flavor of southern hospitality.

TOM SCOTT
I refuse to allow myself to get comfortable.
22 • December 2023
@realproducers
THE HEART BEHIND CLICK N CLOSE Amidst the sea of businesses that claim to prioritize their customers, there exists a rare breed who genuinely live by this philosophy. Tom Scott of Click N Close is a testament to this distinction.
“I refuse to allow myself to get comfortable,” Tom states, reflecting on his success in the industry, “I always want to learn how to get better at what I do.” Born and raised in the Cincinnati/ Northern KY area, Tom and his wife, Eris, moved to Texas in 1997. Armed with a finance degree, a law degree, and a master’s degree in leadership
and entrepreneurship, Tom knew he wanted to truly serve families in the most important foundation of family life: owning their own home. Before he became a mortgage lender, however, Tom had a myriad of work experiences, from working in the auto finance industry to owning an insurance agency. The transition to mortgage was a seamless one for Tom, thanks to his established connections in the real estate domain. Drawing from his diverse professional background, Tom’s approach to mortgage is distinct. The motive of Click N
Close isn’t merely to sell loans, but to create an unparalleled home-buying experience. Tom emphasizes, “We take the time to educate our buyers on all their loan options, discuss the benefits and potential downsides to each, and then let them choose the option they feel most comfortable with.” His deep respect for real estate agents and their invaluable partnership is evident when he says, “Agents want someone who will be there for their clients from start to finish. Someone who will make them feel comfortable with their decisions and ensure everything goes smoothly at the

Be there, educate, guide, and understand your client’s world. AFTER ALL, IT’S ABOUT THEM, NOT US. closing table.” Tom views his agent partners as the linchpin of his success, continually expressing gratitude for the opportunities they’ve brought his way. At the core of Tom’s business model is his desire to be more than just the man behind the curtain. “We genuinely care about every person we talk to. If they can’t qualify today, we put them on a path so they eventually can.” This philosophy reflects his aspiration to be an educator, guiding families through the intricacies of home buying. Reflecting on his career, Tom reveals a humility that is both endearing and powerful. “There is nothing more powerful than a humble person with a warrior spirit who is driven by a bigger purpose,” he quotes. Despite his professional accolades, Tom’s roots lie firmly in his family values. Having been married for 29 years with three children, their rare moments together are cherished, 24 • December 2023
often centered around boating and outdoor activities. This focus on family isn’t just a personal tenet; it translates into his work ethic as well. He doesn’t just see his clients as transaction numbers but as families, understanding their needs and dreams. However, like many passionate professionals, Tom grapples with the concept of work-life balance. “When work needs me, I am all in. When I have downtime, I try to spend it with my family,” he admits candidly. Yet, in his challenges lies his strength. His goal to simplify the mortgage approval process and limit the number of people involved speaks volumes of his dedication to both agents and clients. As he looks towards the future, he shares, “This is probably the most challenging market you’ll ever work in. More than ever, who you choose as your lending partner matters. Do your homework!” His vision for Click N
Close and the industry is crystal clear – simplify, be genuine, and prioritize the needs of the client. The Real Producers platform, Tom believes, is a testament to genuine achievement and meritocracy in the industry. “You cannot buy your way in. You have to earn it,” he notes, emphasizing the importance of authentic accomplishments. Tom Scott is more than just a mortgage broker. He is a man of commitment, education, and genuine care in the often-complicated world of home loans. His advice to fellow professionals? “Be there, educate, guide, and understand your client’s world. After all, it’s about them, not us.” To REALTORS® seeking a dependable lending partner, Tom Scott and Click N Close are names that stand out, promising not just successful transactions but meaningful relationships that stand the test of time. @realproducers

FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO REAL ESTATE SUCCESS
Written by: Katherine H. Fondren • Photos by: Katie Wallace Studios
At the heart of Pittsburg, Kansas, where a young Bill Helton would stand in long lines awaiting government food handouts, little did anyone know that this boy, raised by a single mother after the early passing of his father, would grow to become an influential figure in the real estate world.
In a tale of passion, determination, and unwavering love, Bill’s journey from poverty to prosperity is not just inspiring, but it’s a testament to what the human spirit can achieve against all odds. “I was born in the southeast corner of Kansas...” Bill begins, reminiscing about his early years. Facing financial hardships with his mother, the two eventually moved to Arlington, Texas, in search of a brighter future. A significant decision during Bill’s senior year of high school saw him getting married, which would eventually lead to the birth of his triplets, Ethan, Emily, and Joel. “My children have been the driving force of my life, transforming me into a stronger believer in both faith and my own capabilities,” he adds. Bill’s connection to real estate began in childhood, helping his grandparents manage rental properties. He recalls, “My grandfather owned several rental properties... These early

experiences taught me the value of hard work and determination.” Fast forward to 2014, and Bill obtained his real estate license, while working full time and kickstarting a career where he would help countless families achieve their goals. Prior to this, Bill had a diverse professional journey, working in corporate management and pastoral roles. But the heart of Bill’s real estate passion lies in helping others succeed. With LPT Realty, he’s in his element, mentoring several real estate agents and fostering an environment where success stories are cultivated. As he states, “I find great joy in mentoring new real estate agents and encouraging others to keep moving forward.” What stands out in Bill’s story is his fierce commitment to family. “My incredible wife, Kimberly Helton is not just my best friend, she’s the love of my life. We work together, while raising our children and travel the world as best friends. Together, we have created a blessed and blended family, including my triplets (Ethan, Emily, and Joel) and bonus kids, Jake and Kaylee, our family has been the source of my strength and motivation,” Bill shares with authentic emotion. Bill’s vision of success is not anchored in material wealth but in making the most of every opportunity to achieve his goals. He believes in living life to the fullest, whether that means new adventures in skydiving or traveling internationally with his beloved wife. For him, success is about his devotion to family and passion for helping others.
28 • December 2023
But the journey was not without its challenges. Reflecting on his early years, Bill recalls the struggles of growing up without a father. “Losing my father at the age of three meant missing out on his guidance...” He shares, crediting his mother’s love and determination for the man he’s become today. Bill’s approach to real estate isn’t just about buying and selling property; it’s about changing lives. His desire to help families, inspired by his own past, is evident in his work. “Real estate is an integral part of my goals and dreams...” Bill says. With an ambition to guide their children and countless others to financial freedom through real estate, his mission is clear. For those entering the real estate world, Bill’s advice is profound. “Embrace the hustle...” he urges, emphasizing the need for dedication, hard work, and selfbelief. As someone who’s seen both ends of the spectrum, his words carry weight. In the grand scheme, Bill hopes to leave behind a legacy where he’s remembered as a champion of positive interactions and a light of hope for families aiming for homeownership. “It is my greatest wish to extend that opportunity to other families,” he concludes, echoing a sentiment that’s been a constant throughout his life. His humbled journey, from the streets of Pittsburg, Kansas, to the real estate corridors of LPT Realty, is a story of relentless determination, profound love, abundant faith, and resilience. Bill Helton’s testimony isn’t just about his real estate success; it’s confirmation to his admirable character and love for others. @realproducers

Stefani Hill In her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, Stefani Hill navigates the thriving real estate market in her community. A broker associate with League Real Estate and 15 years in the real estate business, Steffi is no stranger to the ebb and flow of the market. But her journey
FORT WORTH’S REALTOR® WITH HEART
has proven to be as unique as the city itself. Growing up in Fort Worth and attending Southwest Christian School, young Stefani’s brush with real estate began innocuously, creating flyers for Mira Vista Realtors and observing agents hustling, cellphones in hand - a rare sight back in 2000. This initial fascination paved the way to Baylor University, where she met her husband, Ryan, and journeyed to San Antonio and taught elementary school. But the call of Fort Worth was irresistible. “We moved back to Fort Worth on hope and a prayer in June 2008,” she recalls. Those early days, with Ryan preparing for his bar exam and Steffi transitioning from teaching to real estate, are imprinted in her memory. “The words ‘market crash’ meant nothing to me back then. But every time I hear it now, it reminds me of how determined I was, how supportive Ryan was, and how faithful God was.” Stefani’s journey wasn’t always a bed of roses. From personal challenges - like her daughter’s early health issues and a series of unfortunate events at home including theft and a house fire - to the inevitable hurdles in the real estate world, her faith and family have been her rock. What’s striking about Stefani’s approach to real estate is her philosophy: “Time is the most precious commodity anyone has.” She continues, “How you spend your time reflects your values. For me, it’s about family, giving back, and finding joy in everything.” Despite her achievements, including being named Best Real Estate Agent by 360 West and Fort Worth Magazine multiple times and a Five Star Professional Real Estate 32 • December 2023

Outside her professional realm, Stefani’s life revolves around her family. Married to Ryan for 17 years, they have two children, Tucker and Emma Grace, and a Havanese puppy named Biscuit ‘N Gravy. When she speaks of them, she beams, “We’ve seen the highs and lows together. From Ryan’s successful campaign for district judge to our family volunteering at our church, every experience has brought us closer.” When asked how she’d like to be remembered, she quotes Katherine Hepburn, “Be yourself. It’s a tough act to follow.” In a world chasing perfection, Stefani Hill remains genuine, serving her clients with expertise, humility, and most importantly, heart. Whether she’s helping a family find their dream home, volunteering at a local school, or having a nerf war with her kids, Stefani embodies joy, kindness, and a steadfast spirit. Fort Worth is not just where she works; it’s where she lives, loves, and gives back. For aspiring real estate agents, Stefani has simple advice, echoing her late mentor, Betsy Barnes, “Throw out the scripts. Just have real conversations. Be genuine. And most importantly, have fun.” Words that Stefani Hill doesn’t just say, but truly lives by.
Winner since 2012, Stefani’s heart remains in community service. From serving as the PTA president to involvement with the Junior League of Fort Worth, she has always found ways to give back. “Volunteering doesn’t have to be elaborate. Reshelving books in the school library or making copies for a teacher can bring smiles. Imagine if everyone did just that; the world would be so much kinder.” Her faith, kindness, and genuine spirit make Stefani stand out. In an industry often perceived as cutthroat, she’s living proof that success doesn’t require a mean attitude. “It’s possible to be successful and also be kind,” she asserts. “Real estate is a long game. You plant seeds and cultivate them.” And cultivating relationships is where Stefani truly shines. She speaks of her clients with warmth, “I love being a part of their story. Helping them close a chapter or start a new one. It’s not about the transaction, but the memories they’ll create in their new homes.”

A
third generation Fort Worthian, Michelle Myers celebrated her “Sweet 16”in real estate this year. As a REALTOR® who brings a unique blend of warmth, expertise, and relentless dedication to her craft, Michelle jokes about throwing a party, but her journey in this dynamic field is nothing short of a testament to her passion and commitment.
Born and raised in North Richland Hills, Texas, Michelle’s childhood was sprinkled with diverse experiences – from dancing and playing soccer to rodeoing and indulging her love for horses. It was after taking an interior/exterior design class in college, Michelle realized her true calling in real estate. Before embarking on her real estate journey, Michelle was “just your friendly neighborhood bartender and server.” However, the switch to real estate was driven by a longing for change after college. Today, Michelle’s enthusiasm for her business is plain to see. She thrives on growing her business, meeting new people, and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of DFW’s real estate industry. What is she passionate about in her business? “Everything! From all aspects of growing my business, meeting new people, how real estate is going to shape the outlook of DFW and surrounding areas in the next 5-20 years,” she exclaims. For Michelle, the most rewarding part of her job is helping her clients achieve their dreams. She strives to build long-standing relationships, ensuring that her clients are more than satisfied with her service. “When we can go to the closing table with a smile on everyone’s face, I know my mission is accomplished,” she says, reflecting her client-first approach. Despite being in the industry for over a decade, Michelle faces challenges like any other professional. “There’s always going to

be ebbs and flows in this business. With the real estate market always changing, you have to be quick on your toes. Have to think outside the box. There is more than one way to skin a cat,” she says with a laugh, showcasing her fun-loving nature. Real estate has not just been a job for Michelle; it’s been a way of life. “Real estate has helped me achieve my goals of building personal wealth,” she explains. Her expertise in owning investment properties and working closely with first time home buyers all the way up to professional athletes is a key part of her success, and she passionately shares this knowledge with her clients. No day in Michelle’s life is the same, and that’s exactly how she likes it. “I like that no day and no deal is the same. I’m always learning,” she states. Her ability to be versatile and adaptable has made her a go-to agent in Fort Worth. Michelle’s definition of success is as unique as her personality. “Having a strong support system with my family and friends, and God giving me the tools to help clients and give back to the community.” Family is at the core of Michelle’s world. She proudly talks about her roots, her father from Fort Worth and her mother from Arkansas. Growing up with two brothers, she was the youngest and the only girl, an experience that molded her into the person she is today. Her personal interests align perfectly with her professional life. everything Fort Worth has to offer, including the city’s music concerts, Rangers games, and its rich cultural scene. A foster for Allies Haven Animal Rescue, she shares her love with her current foster dog, Shadow, a 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel. Her advice to aspiring real estate professionals is straightforward and grounded in experience: “Be ready to roll your sleeves up and put in the work to be successful in this career.” Michelle’s legacy? “That I made people feel seen, heard, and loved. I try to put a smile on someone’s face every day. You never know who needs it,” she says, encapsulating her ethos.
