welcome our
NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS! publisher’s note It has been said that “The only constant in life is change.” I couldn’t agree with this statement more. Not only in life but in business, too. Often, when change happens, we don’t like it; we resent it, we fight it … but I have noticed over time that these changes that seem terrible at the moment often become a huge blessing in disguise. Something that we needed to happen, but we didn’t know it at the time. That has happened a few times to me in the last four years as the owner of Real Producers here in DFW. As of recently, we have had more change. Sadly, due to some life changes, Rachelle Marie, who a lot of you have met and got to know over the last couple of years, is no longer working for RP. Rachelle was a fantastic team member, and she will certainly be missed. With that change came some more change. We have added two new team members! Just an all-you-caneat buffet of change. I am extremely excited about these two individuals. The first is our Executive Director, Julie Altemus. Many of you may know her from her previous career where she excelled in the warranty industry with the company Super. Prior to that, Julie was a Plano News Reporter for 16 years and is actively a

Certified Speaker and Coach through John Maxwell. She will be an amazing addition to our team! The other is Landon Robinson, who will be our Director of Client Relations. Landon studied at Elevate Leadership Institute, worked for Walt Disney World, was a general manager at a pizza company, and is going to be an integral part of the DFW Real Producers team. You will all be seeing a lot more of Julie and Landon in the days and months ahead! Although I did not anticipate these changes, I could not be more excited about the team that we have put together. As we know, change tends to be bittersweet. This time is no different. But, I know that when you have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, the right things happen. ANAND
Written by: Dave Danielson | Photos by: URSPECIAL
You can have all of the natural talent in the world. But there’s no replacement for dedication and hard work. The truth is those qualities seem to be the catalyst that helps us get the true potential out of the gifts we are given. Andy Anand is a prime example of that dynamic. As a real estate consultant with Douglas Elliman Texas, Andy demonstrates true heart and hustle to turn hopes and dreams into milestones and achievements. “I absolutely love the sales process. I love dealing with customers, helping them truly find either an investment or their first home,” Andy says. “That hustle, achievement, and fulfillment you feel once you help somebody get what they want is something you can’t put a price tag on.” Made for This
Some people seem to be made for what they do. That can definitely be said for Andy. Throughout his life, he has naturally gravitated toward sales. “I think that sales has always been my forte. I’ve also been very good at communication and presentation,” he says. “Those two things have been my strong suits. Those are kind of the fundamentals that I have built on.”
realproducersmag.com
Dallas Real Producers • 17
Andy began his real estate journey three years ago. But his story really began in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. Finding Opportunity
As he came of age, his proficiency on the football field brought him to the U.S. with a college scholarship. He majored in hotel management with a minor in marketing. Coming out of college, Andy worked in the hotel business for about ten years. In time, the idea of getting into real estate came to the forefront. So he and his wife, Goldie, studied for their real estate licenses together.
That hustle, achievement, and fulfillment you feel once you help somebody get what they want is something you can’t put a price tag on.
“Right before we were going to take the final exam, my dad told us that he was launching a magazine toward the South Asian community,” Andy says. “So, real estate got put on the backburner. Since then, we have been running a luxury magazine for the last 20 years in the South Asian community. It’s called Baliwood magazine.” In addition, Andy also bought his first hotel, which was a full-service Marriott in Killeen, Texas. As he remembers, “In the process of doing that, and in the process of buying the hotel, I saw how the broker that handled the transaction was, and I thought to myself, ‘Oh, my god. I could totally see myself doing this. I think I’d be really good at it.’ The rest is history.” Building Something Special
Day-by-day, Andy has continued to apply himself with sustained effort, creativity, and sheer hustle to build a remarkable reputation for results. In fact, in 2021, he recorded around $30 million in sales volume. Family Foundation
Away from work, Andy has a passion for spending time with his family, including Goldie, and their daughter, Paige.
“They are at the heart of what I do. They fuel me. Everything I do, I do for them,” Andy says. “So when I wake up at eight o’clock in the morning, and my hustle begins, it’s all about my family. They are what drives me.” In their free time, Andy and his family have a big passion for traveling, exploring new places, and sharing time together in the process.
Clear Focus
As Andy reflects on his impressive results in real estate, he maintains a clear focus on the effort that is required each day to continue to create success for his clients. “I care very much what people take away from dealing with me. Number one is honesty,” Andy emphasizes. “I want them to know that they’re dealing with an honest person who’s hard-working and who will always give 120 percent of that hard work to them.” That’s true heart and hustle at work in the world.

@realproducers
Once a year, we throw an event that is exclusively for our RP Vetted Business Partners, and it is one of my absolute favorite events! We had about 75 of our partners in attendance, and the weather was perfect. The views from the Skyhouse’s 25th floor never get old, either! We also introduced our two newest team members: Julie Altemus, our Executive Director, and Landon Robinson, our Director of Client Relations. It was great to see our partners connecting so well with these two individuals. They will be an amazing addition to our DFW Real Producers team. We are so grateful for each and every one of the businesses that partner with Real Producers. Each one of them has come recommended to use by the highest producing real estate agents in the market, and they are vetted by our team. They truly are the best of the best! Real Producers wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for them. If you are an agent, be sure to thank our partners, and if you ever have the opportunity to use their services, I am confident you will not be let down. Appreciate you all! Jordan Espeseth Owner

element Moving & Storage PROVIDING THE NEXT GENERATION OF SERVICE Written by: Dave Danielson | Photos by: URSPECIALS
In the ongoing effort you take on to move your clients on to the next chapter in their lives, you have a vital partner on your side — Element Moving and Storage. As company president and founder Elle Nesher says, she and her husband, Lee, have been very intentional about their mission to continue giving their clients the highest levels of service.
candle manufacturing business they had created, Elle and Lee decided it was time to start a family. “At that point, we decided we were done with cold weather and moved to Texas,” she smiles. Steps Forward
While in Chicago, Lee had worked for some moving companies and had an eye on his own operation.
A Drive to Excel
Elle’s drive to achieve began when she was a girl growing up in Israel. “I wouldn’t say that when I was growing up I thought I was going to be a moving company owner. But I knew I wanted to run a business and work with people,” she remembers. “I always knew I wanted to be a business owner and an entrepreneur. I was always pretty independent. When I was 16 years old, I moved from Israel, where I was with my family, and moved to California, graduated high school out there, and then went to college in Washington, D.C.” Elle stayed in the U.S. and moved to Chicago. There she met Lee, who also had grown up in Israel. After running their own business and traveling, spending time on the trade show circuit for the
“He always wanted to open a moving company. That was definitely his dream, and in 2010, we decided it was the right time to do that,” Elle recalls. “Unfortunately, sometimes the moving industry has had a bit of a bad reputation. And we decided that we were going to do things the right way. And really change the way people perceive moving, and run a company with honesty and integrity, and just make sure that we do it right by honoring the client and keeping our word.” A big part of doing it right for Elle and Lee was about having a sense of caring, service, and empathy for their clients. “Moving is a very sensitive and difficult time for a lot of people,” Elle acknowledges. “It’s one of the three most stressful times of people’s lives, including the death of a family member, divorce, and having a child.” Elle stresses the importance of removing stress.

“We work hard to make sure that we take that out of the move. That was always our goal from the inception of the company, and that’s our number one goal. And that’s where we try to help people,” Elle emphasizes. “Moving is a very vulnerable time in people’s lives. And we want to make sure that we are upfront and honest about all of our pricing and that there are no surprises.”
the market from other areas,” she says. “While the majority of our pick-ups are in the Texas area, we do pick-ups and deliveries all over the country, and we actually do a lot of international work, as well.” The team also takes pride in taking care of other special parts of the moving process to ease the load for its customers.
Growing All Around
Today Element Moving and Storage has two locations, including Dallas and a newer office in Austin. Elle and Lee have enjoyed the process of serving the area’s growing population. “This is definitely a growing market with people moving around, upgrading, downgrading, and entering

“I love hearing from customers how our team members treat the move like they were their own. We love helping people through what can be a pretty stressful situation — being that resource that helps them know that things are covered,” Elle says. “We really pride ourselves in doing every aspect of the move from moving pianos to

swing sets to whatever the need is. We also do painting, hanging artwork, and all those things that come as part of the process. We can do it all for you.” A Family Approach
Elle and Lee have three children: Aeden, Ava, and Arielle. They cherish time together and giving back to the community. They also got a new dog last year — a Sheepadoodle named Harley. One of the big ways they support those in need is through the Families to Freedom organization. Elle explains, “We are proud to be their moving partner. What they do is they get women and children out of domestic violence situations. The organization provides one-way transportation out of whatever situation people are in and helps them get on their feet again.” Elle, Lee, and their team members also help connect the dots on moving day, as well — taking unwanted items and delivering them to a variety of local charity organizations. It’s all a part of a drive to achieve more on behalf of those they serve.
I ALWAYS KNEW I WANTED TO BE A BUSINESS OWNER AND AN ENTREPRENEUR.
“Our success is really measured by the success of others. For our team members, I feel good about the fact that 40 to 50 people, on any given day, get their paycheck from working for our company and are able to do that,” Elle smiles. “And of course, on a customer level, knowing that we do a good job, that we’re there for customers, and that we’re able to help them from beginning to end.”
Elle, her husband, Lee, and their three children, Aeden, Ava, and Arielle

THE COCOTOSPOURING INTO PEOPLE
cover story Written by: Dave Danielson Photos by: URSPECIAL
At the heart of this business is the human element. It’s a rewarding feeling reaching results for your clients — knowing that you have unlocked an exciting chapter in their lives. In addition to appreciating the opportunity to serve the people who are your clients, being able to achieve those results with someone you know, like, and trust is very fulfilling. That’s a dynamic that Kimberly Cocotos and Kristen Scott can attest to. DYNAMIC DUO
As REALTORS® with Allie Beth Allman & Associates, Kimberly and Kristen enjoy pouring into people and complementing each other’s efforts as business partners. “It’s very rewarding having that pride of seeing something you have built together. Our team is lucky to be supported under a brokerage that is like a family environment,” Kimberly says. “We have a great culture at Allie Beth Allman. That’s a critical piece we take pride in.”

Through time, Kimberly and Kristen have created a solid track record of going above and beyond for those around them. “When it comes to the way we work with our clients, we always want to give them an unforgettable, full-service, whiteglove experience,” Kristen says.

As Kimberly says, “What’s right for our clients, as well as others around us, is always the number one priority.” When you see professionals who are dedicated to their work and those they serve, it shows. That definitely holds true for the way Kimberly Cocotos and Kristen Scott pour into people.
Kimberly has a passion for traveling with her husband and two children and also enjoys cooking. When it comes to giving back to the community, she will serve as president of Good Shephard Episcopal School Parent’s Organization this year and has participated on the Annual Jonathan’s Place Luncheon committee.
Kimberly Cocotos
Kristen likes to get out, travel, and explore, in addition to supporting her children’s activities and sports. Two years ago, she served as president of Good Shephard Episcopal School Parent’s Organization. She is also president-elect of the Dallas chapter of the National Charity League and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas. Both women take part in an annual toy drive through the Junior Group of the Marianne Scruggs Garden Club, benefiting Community Partners of Dallas. For two years, they have organized the drive, which filled over 100 kids’ wishes annually.

FARRIS

TEACHING AND GUIDING FUTURE STEPS The future belongs to those who prepare for it. By building on our knowledge, each of us is prepared to handle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Amy Farris has made not one career—but two—by following that timeless truth. As a REALTOR® with Ebby Halliday in Preston Center, Amy has long had a passion for teaching and guiding the future steps of those around her. “I like the relationship part of what I do day-to-day … guiding their future,” she says. LIFE’S MOVES
Amy grew up in Georgia and went to high school there. After her college career was completed, Amy went to work for Cracker Barrel corporate. In the process, she opened up new stores across the Southeastern United States. 38 • July 2022

“As part of that, I was asked to open the Tyler, Texas store in 1998. I came here to open that store,” she remembers. RISING HIGHER
That’s when Amy started her family. In time, life took some turns, which required a change in plans. “I loved teaching but became a single mom after 17 years. At that point, I still wanted to be able to provide as much as I could to my children,” Amy says. “But I knew teaching wasn’t going to allow me to do that.” Real estate fulfilled that for her. “I love people and helping them find what they call home or their home away from home,” Amy points out. “I like doing whatever I can in my power by beginning with the end in mind and then working back from that.”
OPENING THE DOOR
Amy earned her license in 2016. She spared no time in making her presence known in the lives of her clients, representing the development side of the business with Long Cove. In fact, during her first year, she recorded over $15 million in sales volume. “I’m really lucky. I loved the development side of the business, from the dirt all the way to the finished product. When I started at Long Cove, I didn’t know anything about development or construction, so I absorbed, like a sponge, everything I could by following the architects, builders, designers, landscapers, etc. around,” Amy says. “It became important to me to learn everything I could. I have built amazing relationships with partners and others in the industry through time.” GRATITUDE
Along the way, Amy has continued to build and share her gratitude for the gifts around her. One of those who she is very grateful for is her business partner, Holly Davis. “Holly and I have done a ton of deals together. We have worked with some really great real estate through time, and we share so much in common,” Amy says. “Also, the way we work is the same. People know they can trust us.” WONDERFUL WORLD
Amy’s world is made richer by her family, including her three children — 22-year-old daughter, Lauren, who also has her real estate license; 21-year-old son, Greyson, who plays in a successful band, and 15-year-old daughter, Laine, who will be a high school sophomore. In her free time, one of Amy’s long-term passions is Great Danes. In fact, today, she has six of the magnificent animals. STEADY FAITH
Faith is also at the center of her world. “I love God. That relationship with my Creator is number one for me. I wouldn’t be where I am right now without Him,” Amy emphasizes.

“Now, being able to bless others in the meantime means a lot to me. That’s what we’re here for. I am so thankful that God has given me stewardship over so much. I always prayed to God to help me take care of my kids. You could just see him working.”
I LIKE THE RELATIONSHIP PART OF WHAT I DO DAY-TO-DAY … GUIDING THEIR FUTURE.
Amy has a heart for helping, too. When she was a teacher, she worked for the Mabank Independent School District. Today, she likes to support the education foundation there. She also stays very active in her church: Life Fellowships in Athens, Texas. STRENGTH OF CHARACTER
Those who know Amy feel blessed by her strength of character and positive nature. “When I meet people, I want to raise the energy and have that connection with them. People know they can trust me. My word is my word, and whatever I can do to help, I will do it.” Congratulations to Amy Farris. Through two careers, she has helped countless area residents by educating them and helping to guide their steps forward in the world.

TOMMY MCMAHAN
THE DRIVE TO THRIVE Tommy McMahan doesn’t wait or hope for good things to happen in life. He makes them happen by taking a direct line from Point A to Point B. As team leader for Trinity Properties Group with Fathom Realty, Tommy definitely has the drive to help those he serves to thrive. SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Tommy has a true heart for ministry and servant leadership. In fact, he worked in pastoral ministry for 25 years prior to entering real estate in August of 2014. You can see that influence in the logo for Trinity Properties Group itself.
“So, I created a sports ministry that would use the gifts of individual athletes in what they were comfortable in doing by partnering with local churches. For example, we did a softball clinic in a small town and helped a church start a children’s ministry, where one hadn’t existed before.” In time, Tommy looked for other ways to earn more and support his growing family. For a time, he sold pharmaceutical products. “From there, the Affordable Care Act went into effect on January 1, 2014. I was full-time with the pharmaceutical company. With the new legislation that went into effect, the government
was no longer covering the drugs in my portfolio that I was selling,” Tommy says. “So my income (part salary and commission) was cut in half. By March, it was zero. I got downsized. I lived on savings for the next six months and figured out what I wanted to do. I was 45 years old.” CRUCIAL CONVERSATION
Around that time, Tommy remembers having a pivotal conversation with his father. “My dad has been a minister for over 40 years. Before that, he was in retail clothing sales with JCPenney. He
“Trinity has a double meaning. Growing up, I was in a Trinitarian belief church. We recognize that in our logo,” Tommy explains. “In addition to the Holy Trinity, we are in Dallas, and there are three forks of the Trinity River. We want to service all three forks of the Trinity.” MADE FOR THIS
Tommy’s transition into real estate seems to have been destined. “I worked for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and the church. I had grown up and taken part in FCA all of my life. One thing missing from the FCA was the ability to go out and serve communities or do a mission trip,” Tommy says.

Last year, Tommy and his team of seven recorded an impressive total of $26 million in sales volume.
linebacker on the football team at Southern Nazarene University; and 19-year-old daughter Katherine, who is a certified dental assistant.
TEAM EFFORT
“I thought everyone needs a place to live, and I can help them with that through real estate. I had some friends who were REALTORS®. They were starting a team, and I became the fourth person on that team.” NATURAL FIT
Things clicked. Within ten days, Tommy had his first house under contract. He kept building from there. “Next year, I showed up every day in the office working leads and making phone calls … doing the dailies. In January, I had four contracts, and they closed in February,” Tommy says. “In February, I had 6, then 12, and by the end of the year, I had sold 57 homes under contract. I closed 48 of those.”

Teamwork has made this group’s dreams work. “We have a built-in mentorship style with Matthew Bryan, Ashley Hinson, and myself. The three of us are mentors on the team,” Tommy says. “Matthew and Ashley also take part in marketing and training responsibilities. After that, everyone else is put with a different person, and they are our responsibility to contact and work with them.” FAMILY HIGHLIGHTS
Away from work, Tommy treasures time with his family, including his wife of 30 years, Shannon, and their three children — 27-year-old Madison, who works as a paralegal at a law firm and has a 4-year-old son named Westley; 20-year-old son Cole, who attends college and plays middle
In his free time, Tommy loves playing cornhole. In fact, he travels for the sport and takes part in competitive tournaments in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma. “I really enjoy doing it, and it doesn’t make me hurt the next day,” he laughs. Tommy also enjoys hunting for deer and ducks. In addition, he plays golf. Giving back is central to Tommy’s life. He likes to support groups such as Rock Wall Pets, as well as supporting drives for backpacks and school supplies for local middle school students. Congratulations to Tommy McMahan for demonstrating what true leadership is all about and showing his undeniable drive to help those around him thrive. @realproducers

FAQ ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE Real Producers magazine started in Indianapolis in 2015 and is now in over 100 markets across the nation and continues to spread rapidly. Real Producers first launched in DFW in August 2018 with North DFW Real Producers (now called “North Dallas”). In May 2019, Dallas Real Producers launched, and then Tarrant Real Producers in March of 2021. In 2022, Tarrant Real Producers split into two publications, North Fort Worth and Fort Worth Real Producers. Fort Worth Real Producers will go to print later this year. Q: WHO RECEIVES Real Producers MAGAZINES? A: The top 500 real estate agents in each
of the four markets in DFW based on their MLS production for the previous year. Refer to the map in this publication for the exact territories. If your broker address is within that given territory and you are in the top 500, you will receive that publication for the year. There are approximately 60,000 licensed real estate agents in DFW. The list will reset at the end of every year and continue to update annually. Q: WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THIS MAGAZINE? A: We believe that we are better together.
When we surround ourselves with other successful, like-minded people, we grow to new heights. Real Producers is a platform that brings together the most elite individuals in DFW real estate. We take the top 500 real estate agents and RP-vetted businesses in every market, and we build an exclusive community around that group. We share their stories, 46 • July 2022
successes, market trends, upcoming events — really, anything that will connect, inform and inspire, we put in our monthly publication. Q: DOES Real Producers HAVE EVENTS? A: Yes! Each community will have two
main events a year, and then we do a combined event at the end of the year, which is an awards gala called The ESPEs. For these events, we invite the top 500 real estate agents and our RP-vetted businesses. Top 500 agents are allowed to invite members on their team as well. These events are an incredible opportunity to connect with the best of the best in DFW real estate. It is amazing to see the power in the connections made at these events. Be on the lookout for your exclusive invites! Q: WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BEING FEATURED IN THIS MAGAZINE? A: It’s really simple. You have to be on
the top 500 list, and we take nominations seriously. You can nominate other real estate agents, businesses, brokers, owners, or even yourself! Office leaders can also nominate real estate agents. We will consider anyone brought to our attention who is in the top 500 because we don’t know everyone’s story, so we need your help to learn about them. We cannot guarantee a feature, but we encourage you to meet with one of our team members, support Real Producers, and attend our private events to increase your chances.
You can email your nominations to jordan.espeseth@ realproducersmag.com. Q: WHAT DOES IT COST A REAL ESTATE AGENT/TEAM TO BE FEATURED? A: Zero, zilch, zippo, nada, nil. It
costs nothing, my friends, so nominate away! We are not a pay-toplay model. We share real stories of Real Producers. Q: WHO ARE THE RP-VETTED BUSINESSES? A: They are one of the best busi-
nesses in DFW in their category, and you can find them listed in our index! We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One of many of the top real estate agents has recommended every single business you see in this publication. We won’t even meet with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and “stamped for approval,” in a sense. Our team will further vet every business to make sure they are a good fit and bring value to our community. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network, not only for the best real estate agents in the area but the best businesses, as well, so we can grow stronger together. Q: HOW CAN I RECOMMEND A BUSINESS? A: If you know and want to recom-
mend a business that works with top real estate agents, please email us to let us know at jordan.espeseth@ realproducersmag.com. @realproducers
