Johnson's "Boys II Men" program. Monthly, these community leaders presented their fraternity's Alpha Legacy curriculum to these young men.
Fall of 2021: Due to the resounding success and impact of its Alpha Legacy program at SJMS, McKinney ISD invited this chapter to expand its partnership with the district by bringing its Alpha Legacy curriculum and monthly mentoring program to the campus of Boyd High School.
Fall of 2022: Once again, their reputation preceded them. McKinney ISD invited the Xi Tau Lambda Chapter to deepen its commitment to MISD by extending its mentoring program to the young men of Collin County's John R. Roach Detention Center.
Fall of 2023: The Xi Tau Lambda continued to drive delivery of monthly mentoring for the young men at Boyd High School, Scott Johnson Middle School and the John R. Roach Detention Center. Partnership with additional Chapter Committees began to expand the topics available to the young men.
John R. Roach Juvenile Detention Center is Collin County's home to youth who have allegedly committed under-aged crimes (MISD teachers and staff support the learning of these students while they are there).
The male component of this Long-Term Unit houses up to 50 young men from anywhere between six months to a year. It is this portion of the population that the Xi Tau Lambda chapter mentors monthly and shares their words of wisdom. Eager to have life spoken to them, the young men of this facility eagerly await their visits with the Alphas.
The Alpha Phi Alpha program has proven to be a major success for male students in the John Roach Juvenile Justice Detention Center. The boys and the officers are impressed with the topics and activities that the gentlemen leading this program have provided. Among the most talked about in general conversation are Financial Literacy and Conflict Resolution/Cyber Etiquette. The boys look forward to the opportunity to have frank conversations with these men during their monthly visits and are genuinely happy to hear that the program has been given the green light to continue into the summer break. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the men of Alpha Phi Alpha and their Legacy MentoringProgram."

The Xi Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha's dedication to serving the students of SJMS and Boyd's high school is commendable. Their consistent presence and positive Alpha Legacy curriculum have inspired these young men to view life from a variety of lenses. They too look forward to their sessions with the Alphas.
The Financial Literacy workshop that the Alphas presented on the campuses of SJMS, Boyd, and Roach Detention Center was a favorite among the students! It challenged them to look at life through a financial lens, and it opens their eyes to real-world dilemmas.
A few brothers had the distinct honor of representing Xi Tau Lambda Chapter at Malvern Elementary. Our visit was especially meaningful as Malvern Elementary has been a proud beneficiary of our Thanksgiving and Christmas food drive donations, conducted in partnership with Tackle Tomorrow, led by Brother Haley.
During our visit, the staff and administration of Malvern Elementary expressed their deepest gratitude, emphasizing their appreciation for our efforts and the significant positive impact our contributions have made on their community.
It was truly uplifting to witness the difference our chapter's commitment and Brother Haley's organization have made. The heartfelt thanks we received reaffirmed the importance of our community outreach and the value of continuing our support for such impactful causes.
"We appreciate the Xi Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.'s commitment and investment of resources, time, and connections to the MISD community. "
