Hello Friends,
It is hard to believe that I have gotten to do this work for 20 years now! I introduced my rst fabric collection to the quilt industry in 2005, and I have loved it more with each passing year. What began as simply designing fabric has grown into writing patterns, teaching, traveling, lecturing, owning a quilt shop, and now serving as the Design Director for AMT! Who would have thought?!
To celebrate this milestone, I felt compelled to revisit the inspirations behind my very rst fabric designs. This time, I brought 20 years of experience in art, design, and quilt making. Rhapsody is a very special collection, built on the same visual themes I explored two decades ago and even shares much of the original palette. I feel it comes closer than ever to the vision I have always had for my work. I’m thrilled to announce that we are introducing our very rst AMT Block of the Month with the Rhapsody Quilt! In a corresponding free video series, I’ll guide the appliqué and support creative interpretations for those who crave it. This BOM program and pattern will take the place of our “Bespoke” pattern for this season.
Because one “ rst” didn’t feel like enough, I also designed my very rst holiday collection. I had so much fun creating Cozy Christmas, focusing on festive themes and drawing from the special memories of decorating with my family over the years. These fabrics are versatile and are very usable for all sorts of occasions beyond the holidays. My yarn-dyed exploration for this season, Silver Lining, makes a perfect partner to the holiday fabrics. Subtle slivers of metallic threads weave into these beautiful plaids, stripes, and jacquards. The colors are joyful, the hand is soft, and the possibilities are endless. I also decided that having our rst 108” wide yarn-dyed backing would be an exciting addition to the Backings No. 4 group.
Before all of that excitement arrives, our rst delivery of the season will be Indelible Ink, the nal art installment of my Indelible series. These rich, saturated hues round out the Indelible library beautifully. While Indelible and Indelible: Soft featured favorite handdrawn orals, this new collection explores the friendly pollinators that visit my garden, including moths, hummingbirds, bees, and butter ies. Now a full-bodied 48-piece collection, I have loved incorporating Indelible into many current and upcoming projects.

I am pleased to present the newest members of the Indelible garden: the pollinators! Indelible Ink is my homage to the birds, bees, butter ies, and moths that keep our gardens humming, buzzing, and growing. Through my own gardening journey, I have learned to appreciate their role and simply let them bounce off me as we work together, tending the owers that we both love. The deep, rich colors of Indelible Ink beautifully punctuate the rest of the Indelible library, adding drama and interest to a full-bodied basics program.

The rst thing I wanted to do with the deeply saturated Indelible Ink collection was to set it alongside the other tones in the Indelible library. This allowed me to blend the colors in a painterly way while also highlighting the contrast between light and dark. The quilt itself is a simple patchwork design that takes a fun spin from the center, featuring large square blocks of fussy-cut moths that gradually move outward into smaller and smaller shapes. It shares some of the same square-and-rectangle structure as an optical illusion quilt. However, the spin is more fun than dizzying.

All 48 pieces from the Indelible library come together in the simplest way in this fun, beginnerfriendly quilt. You can follow the order that the fat quarters are bundled together and combine three colors of squares on every row! This quilt would make a wonderful beginner quilting class and it is also easy to personalize. Swap the squares for triangles, HSTs, or even EPP. Just imagine all the possibilities this full bundle could inspire in your next creative project!

I never say never! Introducing my very rst holiday fabric collection, Cozy Christmas. When I designed this group of fabrics, I drew inspiration from some of my favorite childhood holiday memories. I also included items that are still a part of my own family’s home each season. Paper snow akes, wrapped gifts, poinsettias throughout the house, and reading stories of far-off lands to my children all found their way into this collection. I don’t think I loved anything more as a child than waiting for my handmade stocking to be lled. It’s still a favorite family moment, so I had to include a fun and simple way for you to create your own with the Stocking Panel. Cozy Christmas offers designs perfect for holiday sewing, as well as everyday projects that feel both nostalgic and cheerful.

Flying Geese stack onto rectangles to create houses in a cheerful holiday scene in the Cozy Christmas Quilt. While it is perfect to bring out during the festive season, the design itself is a timeless one that works beautifully with any AMT fabric. We highlighted this season’s Happy Place solids in the rooftops and triangular trees. This pattern is also a great scrap generator, leaving you with plenty of leftovers for bonus projects or a scrappy backing.

I am so pleased to be offering our rst ever yarn-dyed plaid as a wide backing. I have always sung the praises of using a yarn-dyed woven on the back of a quilt, not only for its softness, but especially for hand-quilters, because it is so easy to “needle” and much gentler on your hands. These designs are also beautiful for home goods that bene t from the extra-wide dimension, like tablecloths, shower curtains, or duvet covers. There is no limit to your creativity!

I’m so pleased to introduce this sparkly group of woven fabrics, designed to make your next garment, home sewing, patchwork, or holiday project simply glow. Fine lines of metallic thread weave into these classic designs, offering something special and, if you choose, work beautifully alongside the Cozy Christmas collection. The continuous stripe of “Ribbons” is a stunner for garments. The clever weave of “Tree Farm” is a nostalgic jacquard, just as suited for a fancy jacket as it is for home goods. We mixed these two collections together and gave them a festive shake to get the party started! The Holiday Cocktail bundle is a curated ½-yard stack that combines the sparkle of Silver Lining with the nostalgia of Cozy Christmas, making it perfect for some festive making. We love the idea of these fabrics lending a hand with your gift list, home décor, or even dressing the table. Shown here are simple reversible placemats, dinner napkins, a table runner, and a special 6-point star centerpiece. Stay tuned for that project!
In celebration of my 20th year in fabric design, I took a look back at the inspirations behind my very rst collection, Bohemian While there are no direct reprints, gave me the chance to revisit those original muses: leopard prints, exotic orals, hand-painted tile work and ceramics, and tapestries. They were simply things I loved then, and as it turns out, I still love them now. But with time comes experience, a more practiced hand, a more seasoned eye, and a deeper connection to those sources of beauty. I now can take those inspirations and create something that feels closer to what is in my mind and heart. nod to where I began, but a bookmark of where I am now as an artist and quilter. The prints are large and small, expressive, painterly, and personal. I also created a special limited-edition “Anniversary Vases” motif featuring 20 vases adorned with designs from over the years. It is a meaningful piece of the Rhapsody Quilt and a celebration all its own.

The Rhapsody Quilt is a celebration of my twenty years in fabric design, but also an expression of love. I love art. I love owers. I love making quilts. And this quilt makes no apologies for any of it. I have also loved sharing my journey with YOU. So let’s begin the next twenty years with my rst AMT Block of the Month program.
The Rhapsody Quilt is a collage of 20 Anniversary Vases—some framed individually as works of art, others over owing with oral applique—all set within traditional 9-patches and Quarter Square Triangles. The Rhapsody pattern will provide guidance for applique, whether the quilter wants to perform the stitching by hand or machine.
