o m e to lc e w NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE Thank you for joining us for the North Central College Fine & Performing Arts 2020-2021 Virtual Season! We couldn’t be more excited to be able to share these incredibly talented artists with you from the comfort of your own homes in a virtual format. This has been a unique and challenging time, but it is a joy to share fine arts events together virtually, even if we cannot do so yet in person.

We kick off our virtual season in January with The Hit Men followed by several fantastic performances in February from artists such as The Langston Hughes Project, Mojo & The Bayou Gypsies, and Naturally 7. In March and April, tune in for The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Lee Rocker of Stray Cats, the Chicago Sinfonietta, The Sharpe Family Singers, and the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra. We close out the virtual season in May with actor Robert Neary in “So Good: The Neil Diamond Experience.”

As a thank you for your continued support, we are providing most of these events free with a reservation. Additionally, viewing will be unlimited and available for the entire weekend these performances are released for you to view at your leisure. We hope you enjoy an encore performance or two!

PERFO RMER BIOGRAPHY The ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s were a magical era for songwriting, and during that period, artists like Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and other big name groups created unforgettable hits that have lit up the airwaves and concert halls for generations and are forever woven into America’s consciousness.

After decades behind the scenes, five of the greatest musicians who were instrumental in the success of these fabulous songs came together to form The Hit Men. Not Broadway actors, nor a tribute band, these guys are the real hit-makers who traveled all over the world, creating music and memories—including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall , the Hollywood Bowl, Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and London Palladium.

A group of incredibly talented and versatile musicians, vocalists, arrangers, composers and performers, The Hit Men are the musical trailblazers and road warriors of the ’60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. They were performing and/or recording members of legendary bands and artists including Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Jim Croce, Cheap Trick, Blood Sweat & Tears, Sting, Cat Stevens, Carole King, Carly Simon as well as Journey, Foreigner, Yes, Derrick & the Dominos and Toto.

On the road, touring as The Hit Men, this brotherhood of musicians relives the magic they created on world stages and in recording studios, bringing audiences a night of hit after hit—including classic rock songs like: “Oh What a Night” and “Who Loves You”

by Frankie Valli, “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey, “I Wanna Know What Love Is” by Foreigner and “Pinball Wizard” by The Who. During their performances, The Hit Men also share behind-the-scenes stories from their days in recording studios and on the concert circuit. It’s an entertaining and informative look back through rock and roll history from the guys who lived and breathed the experience.

In April 2019, The Hit Men became the recipient of the first-ever “Road Warrior Award” from the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. This prestigious, Nashville-based organization honors talented, but often overlooked, musicians who played on the greatest recordings of all time. The award acknowledges The Hit Men’s “years of dedication to the music and the countless miles they’ve traveled delivering so many hits throughout the world.”
