FEES Continuing Education, First Aid & ElderCollege tuition fees are payable in full to North Island College at the time of registration. We accept cash, cheques, Visa, MasterCard or Amex. No post-dated cheques. Tuition and other fees are subject to change without prior notification. Most of the courses and programs offered at NIC are exempt from HST, but the College has to charge HST on tuition for courses that do not receive post-secondary credits as part of a program of instruction. In our review of the tax implications of HST, we identified that Elder College and some Continuing Education courses do not meet the criteria for exemption from HST. As a result, effective July 1, 2010 HST must be added to the course tuition for non credit courses and to the annual Elder College membership fee. HST is also applicable to books and materials.

What is Dual Admission? Dual Admission is a new way for high school students to be admitted to UVic while studying at NIC. It’s designed for students who want the best of both worlds—smaller classrooms, less cost, and admission to UVic right out of high school.
Why should I apply for Dual Admission?
It’s easy. Apply once by filling out the special UVic Dual Admission application at NIC. Meet UVic’s program requirements and take advantage of NIC’s lower tuition while taking classes here. When you’re ready to register at UVic, just tell us—we’ll send them your information.
Apply by Feb. 28 for early admission.
