Cantina Band was written in 1977 for the film Star Wars (later Star Wars IV: A New Hope). Even with quite a bit of the Star Wars music being quite well known, Cantina Band is literally in a style of its own.
Song for Frances - Solo for Euphonium - Øystein Olsen Vadsten
Song for Frances is a classic love ballad, written for both concert band and brass band, featuring the euphonium as solo instrument.
Grevling i taket | Badger in the Ceiling - Lorentzen-Dolmen/Reid Gilje
This is an arrangement which has to be performed a bit humorous in the spirit of the original performed by Norwegian duo Knutsen & Ludvigsen. A real classic in the Norwegian popular music field.
Diplodocus - Ingebjørg Vilhelmsen
Diplodocus is said to be one of the largest dinosaus to ever have lived. This rhytmically pulsating piece describes the carefree nature of a Diplodocus; A life with no natural enemies, and with an exceptionally small brain.
Laling frå Bø - Trad./Fredrick Schjelderup
Laling is a Norwegian lullaby which starts off with a calm atmosphere (like a dream). The dream develops into a more funky section, until it calms down again.

Storslått | Grand Nordic Tune - Øystein Olsen Vadsten
Grand Nordic Tune is a modern version of the Norwegian traditional dance "Slått". In Norwegian, the title has a kind of double meaning as Storslått also can describe something that is pompous and magnicifent.

Feelin' All Right - Instrumental Solo - Frode Thingnæs/Lars Erik Gudim
A demaning arrangement of this great Frode Thingnæs tune from his first album released in 1974. Various solo options with plenty of room for improvisations!
Mr. Tattoo (Concert March) - Frode Thingnæs
Mr. Tattoo pays homage to Christer Johannessen, founder and leader of Norwegian Military Tattoo from 1994 to 2014. A great concert march for any occation. Will be released September 2023.

Norsk Festouverture | Norwegian Festival Overure - Johan Halvorsen/Tom Simensen
This great Festival Overture was written for the opening of The National Theatre in Oslo in 1899. It’s composed in typical Norwegian national romantic style and masterfully orchestrated for Concert Band by Tom Simensen.
Interlude for Band - John Brakstad
Interlude for Band is a melodious charachter piece based on a theme from the Brakstad original work Affinity and Fellowship
Momentun Sequences - Fredrick Schjelderup
Momentum Sequences was commissioned by Norwegian band Skjold Skoles Musikkorps for their 60th Anniversary. The title of the term Momentum can be explained by an event that creates extra energy, or the driving force of a moving object.
Romance for Trombone and Concert Band - Axel Jørgensen/Christian A. Eriksen
A Danish classic in the repertoire for Trombone Solo with Orchestra. Although Jørgensen himself was a professional viola player, he wrote many works for the various brass instruments.

A good choice as a short concert opener! Based on two themes used throughout the piece. It was written for the Storm Festival in Norway in 2016.
Mariametamorphoses is a musical fantasy on a theme from Verran, in the Trøndelag county of Norway. It is built up as a ”theme and variations” piece, where the theme is presented last, in the epilogue.
Slottssvit | Castle Suite (Suite in Three Movements) - Jerker Johansson
This work was written for a wedding held at Kalmar Castle in Sweden in 1999. The three movements are entitled Bridal March At the wishing well and Feast, all of them related to weddings.

En Vinteresaga - Fyra vignetter | A Winter's Tale - Four Vignettes - Lars-Erik Larsson/Jerker Johansson
This incidental music for W. Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale was composed for a radio theatre production in 1938. Larsson later chose four of the 22 pieces for this suite entiteling it Four Vignettes

A challenging 3-Movement work for mature bands. Originally written for Brass Band in 2010 while this Concert Band version premiered in 2023. Will be released September 2023.

Three Fancies is meant to be an unpretentious piece of music that might be cool to listen to. Three movements in various styles is a challenging piece for an ensemble of woodwinds, brass and percussion.

Nordlandstoner - Bjarne Olsen
This march reflects the beauty of the North-Norwegian nature. Olsen, a northener himself, wrote this march in 1983 for a composers competition
Mälardrottningen | Queen of Lake Malaren March - Viktor Widqvist/Niclas Blixt
This famous march by Swedish composer Viktor Widqvist was written as early as 1910. The march’s subtle minor tonality and the elegant runs in the woodwind bring to mind the wavy waters of Riddarfjärden in summertime.
Overalt-Alltid | On Guard Forever - Øyvind Strand
The Home Guard was founded in 1946 as a mobilization unit of the Norwegian Defense Forces. This march, On Guard Forever, was composed to the unit s 75th jubilee in 2021.
Gatens basuner - Åge Hermansen
Gatens basuner was written in 1958 by Åge Hermansen, a Norwegian Euphonium player, conductor, arranger and composer.

A march written to honour Gustav Hegnander, chief and conductor of the Royal Norwegian Navy Band over a very long period from 1911 to 1939. Will be released September 2023.

Himmel på jord | Heaven on Earth - Johannessen-Enger /John Philip Hannevik
Heaven on Earth was composed in 1995, and has since then become one of Norway’s favorite modern Christmas Carols. The lyrics are a homage to the charismatic Norwegian preacher Aage Samuelsen.
Cradle Hymn - Kim André Arnesen/Christian Aftreth Eriksen
Cradle Hymn a Christmas lullaby with imagery of Mary and her infant, was written for the Nidaros Cathedral Girl’s Choir. This masterful arrangement was made for the Concert Band of Bunberry High School in Australia.

This huge Norwegian Christmas hit is performed by Maria Mena and written for the movie Home for Christmas in 2010. Beautiful scoring for a limited instrumentation by master arranger Reid Gilje.
Mil etter mil | Mile after Mile - Jahn Teigen/Øystein S. Heimdal
This song performed by Jahn Teigen represented Norway at the Eurovision final in 1978. The result was zero points, but after that, the song soon became very popular in Norway and it is now regarded as a classic.

Good Vibes - Idar Torskangerpoll
Good Vibes is a feelgood entertainment piece with limited range for all instruments, suitable for beginning players. The rhythmic structure is repetitive and polyphony is often in the call and response form.
At the Zoo (Suite in Four Movements) - Hilde Høyvik Dahl
At the Zoo is a light and playful piece for the beginning musicians. Different animals and their characteristics are the theme of each movement, and the melody alternates between the different sections of the band.

This flexible designed arrangement is accessible for almost any wind. Dream Lover became a multi-million seller, originally recorded and released in 1959 with Neil Sedaka on piano in addition to Darin on vocal.
Numero Cinco - Ervan Coleman/Inge Sunde
This song became famous by Herb Alpert & Tijuana. The present arrangement alternates between a swing feel (Light Tijuana Swing) and a Latin-calypso style with even eight notes.
