IMPACT
Since we opened our doors in 2010, our intent has been to deliver a curated collection of purposeful designs which have been made to last. With it, we celebrate the culture of bonding with timeless, reliable pieces, reclaiming them in different contexts throughout your life, and caring for them as they age.
However, our vision as we grow and learn is to keep setting and meeting ambitious goals with the wellbeing of the people around us and respect for the planet at the forefront. We acknowledge the shared responsibility we have to limit the negative impact of our designs, and a duty to ensure a fair balance in the interests of people and planet.
Carbon emissions summary
To streamline our collective efforts towards halting global warming, we are working towards a decarbonisation strategy. This starts with taking account of current CO2e emissions across the brand operations and supply chain and identifying opportunities to reduce.
In order to assist our clients in completing their CO2e reports, we are able to provide CO2e summaries for projects upon request.
We calculate the estimated lifetime CO2e emissions of our products using a carbon calculation tool developed specifically for the furniture industry. The calculation takes into account the full material composition of a product, component origin, packaging, transportation from the production facility and to the customer’s region.
This climate footprint report is calculated according to EUs rules for Product Environmental Footprint (PEF). The summary will assign a CO2e amount to the item within the order along all life stages, including production waste, use stage and disposal.
