Tattenham Recreation Ground
from Spring 2021
UNFORTUNATELY THE skate ramps in Tattenham Recreation Ground, which had to be closed during much of last year, due to either Covid restrictions or wear and tear to the ramps themselves, have since found to be in such a poor structural state that they posed a severe safety hazard. They have now been removed entirely.
Over the last year, my work has included plans for the improvement of these ramps and the surrounding area. With the unexpected news that we will now need a complete replacement, I have set the wheels in motion to explore what options we may have to reinstate such facilities, and hopefully create something with far wider appeal.

The majority of feedback received so far from residents, families and schools is in favour of a pump track suitable for all ages. We are keen to hear your views. Please email them to cllr.adamson@reigate-banstead.gov.uk.

WHAT IS A PUMPTRACK?
A pumptrack is a track for wheeled sports equipment that, when ridden properly, does not require pedaling or pushing but a “pumping” action to maintain momentum
The drawings show 2D ad 3D views of what a possible pump track installation could look like, in this instance with twin junior and senior tracks for different abilities.
