Wehadgivenourselvesloftygoals–world records;forJoe,theM80-84,andformyself, theM75-79.Inmycategory,theexisting numberwas593km.Webothknewthat,ata minimum,wewouldsetCanadianrecords,as nooneinouragecategorieshadever completeda10-dayrace,thelongestofficially recognizedcategory.Ialreadyholdtherecord forM70-74with710km.
