From the Volunteer Coordinator Well, the year has been flying by and fall has come again! I hope you had a fine summer and are as ready as I am for cooler weather and warmer clothing! This fall brings us many exciting events, including the renowned Knitting Conference, the return of Soup and Cinema, a few new exhibits—the Color of Time and Odin’s Eye—and a unique community event celebrating everything Ballard, which is surely not to be missed! We’ll also be celebrating you, our volunteers, at the annual Halloween Appreciation Dinner, so get your costumes ready and come prepared to be appreciated!
Meeting to learn more about these changes and offer your own great ideas! It’s also time to start baking your cookies, cakes and breads to donate to Goodies to Go, the beloved Yulefest bake sale. These are exciting times at the Museum. We’ve welcomed several new staff members and shuffled around some others, and together we are working on producing high quality exhibits, programs and events, while making steady progress toward the new building. We plan to open the doors in late 2017. Stay tuned! As always, don’t hesitate to drop me a line if you’ve moved, your volunteer status has changed. See you all soon and happy fall! Sincerely, Michael
