Vegan options for your Vegas visit

Trying to maintain a plant-based diet on vacation can be nearly impossible. That is, unless you’re visiting Vegas, which boasts plenty of vegan options in a range of different cuisines.

A bit of a local celebrity, Chef Kenny was responsible for one of Las Vegas’s first all vegan drive-thrus. Now, he serves expertly crafted Vegas dishes at two separate restaurants.

His newest restaurant, Chef Kenny’s Vegan Dim Sum Restaurant makes delicious dumplings without the use of artificial flavors. Dim sum favorites like Pork Buns and Egg Custard Tarts get vegan revamps with plantbased alternatives like tofu, mushrooms and various legumes.

At Chef Kenny’s Asian Vegan Restaurant, the titular chef showcases his range with everything from vegan sushi to chow mein and pad thai. While their meatball sandwich is not to be missed, the pasta bar is hard to pass up. Various noodles, sauces, veggies and plantbased proteins put the power to create new “pastabilities” plainly in the hands of the patrons.

Nobutcher

Located 10 minutes from the Strip, NoButcher is a unique vegan deli and eatery serving plant-based sandwiches with homemade vegan meats and cheeses.

Their stand-out sub is the Pulled NoPork Sandwich, made with a maple-mustard slaw curtailed by a crispy ciabatta roll. Former fish eaters can finally feel at ease eating sea-inspired cuisine thanks to the NoTuna Sandwich, a chickpea salad sandwich so close to tuna it’s hard to believe it never swam.
