Nashville may be best known for its music and bar scenes, but the city also has several fun attractions that families can enjoy together.
Adventure Science Center
Putting the fun in fundamental learning, this enlightening science center lets guests of all ages enjoy science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics through more than 175 interactive exhibits. Guests can contemplate the endless concept of infinity in the Infinium Room; learn about the principles of anatomy, physics and engineering while climbing a Kinetic Climber in the Adventure Gallery; and explore sound and music in the immersive soundBox. There’s even a planetarium that plays laser light shows set to hits from popular musicians, like Prince and David Bowie. adventuresci.org
Delta Riverboat Ride
Glide past gorgeous waterfalls and extraordinary horticulture during this relaxing indoor boat ride on Gaylord Opryland Resort’s quarter-mile-long Delta River. Open to the public, the 14-minute tour is led by a riverboat captain who educates passengers on the property’s history as well as the incredible plant life that lives inside its three atriums. Boasting over 50,000 plants, the lush displays will make guests feel like they’re cruising through a rainforest! gaylordopryland.com

Madame Tussauds
It seems only fitting that Music City is home to the first-ever Madame Tussauds solely focused on musicians, songwriters and performers. Featuring more than 60 figures from all genres of music, this celebrity wax museum inside the Opry Mills shopping center takes guests on a journey through different eras of music history alongside a cast of legendary artists, including B.B. King, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. Several of the lifelike figures are actually located inside rooms that resemble some of Nashville’s most iconic locations, giving visitors the unique opportunity to snap the perfect selfie with their favorite stars at places like The Bluebird Cafe and Grand Ole Opry. madametussauds.com/nashville
