Distinct drinking establishments in Downtown Las Vegas
By Heather Turk
Downtown Las Vegas is the perfect place to go bar hopping, as its bar scene boasts several eclectic watering holes that specialize in everything from specific spirits to unforgettable décor.
One of the area’s most unique drinking establishments is ReBAR, a dive bar in the Arts District that’s also an antique shop. Everything guests see, from the art on ReBAR’s walls to the chairs patrons sit on, is for sale, with new items added regularly. Additionally, there’s an outdoor patio that showcases live music Thursday through Sunday and connects ReBAR to another bar: the pirate-themed Davy’s. Both bars share a kitchen, so guests can pair a gourmet sandwich or hot dog with one of the bars’ daily beer specials, like $2 Rolling Rocks at ReBAR before 3 p.m. (only $3 after). If you prefer cocktails, Davy’s also has rum cocktails on tap, and ReBAR serves a

Bar-goers can drink for a cause at the recent Fremont East addition We All Scream, too, as proceeds from the art-filled nightclub and ice creamery’s boozy milkshakes go toward funding local art projects. Each wall at the venue features floor-to-ceiling artwork by internationally renowned muralist groups PichiAvo and Bicicleta Sem Freio, and there’s a vintage dairy truck-turned-DJ booth in its back-alley dance club. There is also a rooftop club where guests can overlook Fremont Street’s lights while sipping one of the bar’s signature cocktails, like the Dandy Pants made with Tanqueray, pineapple juice, Bénédictine, passion fruit, blue curacao and cotton candy. weallscream.com

cocktails made with the spirits. Guests can savor such luscious libations as the Teq-Quila Time, made with tea-infused Dr. Stoner’s tequila blanco, coconut, citrus, soda, butterfly pea flowers and egg white, while dancing under a canopy of 15,000 colorful, programmable LED lights that twinkle along to the Latin rhythms played nightly by the house DJs. luckydaydtlv.com Horse Trailer Hideout is also fast becoming a downtown favorite. Featuring an actual horse trailer inside of the bar serving drinks, the recent Main Street addition has six beers on tap, an extensive beer fridge with up to 32 different types of beer and a menu of signature cocktails like the refreshing Lavender Lush made with Las Vegas Booze Brothers’ Vodka. Live music is showcased on Friday and Saturday, and there’s a back room with a variety of games for guests to play, including a punching bag machine that spits out prizes if players reach a certain score (spoiler alert: they’re panties!). horsetrailerhideout.com
