A TRUE TREASURE
Stake your claim at Deadwood Mountain Grand

Those looking for the ultimate place to stay and play in South Dakota needn’t look any further than Deadwood Mountain Grand.

Located in the restored 1906 Homestake Mining Co. ore processing plant, Deadwood Mountain Grand overlooks what was once the wildest and wooliest gold-mining town in the West. Home to Deadwood’s only large-scale event center and casino, the newly renovated hotel has an array of onsite amenities, including 210 state-of-theart casino games and an indoor pool and hot tub.
“Deadwood is all about maintaining its historic, gold-rush roots by breathing new life into buildings of the past, and we’ve done just that with Deadwood Mountain Grand,” said general manager Susan Kightlinger. “Our hotel offers guests a serene hotel setting while being a stone’s throw away from the exciting downtown activities Deadwood offers.”

Summertime welcomes an array of events to Deadwood, from classic car auctions to the return of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Additionally, rising country star Kolby Cooper is scheduled to perform inside Deadwood Mountain Grand’s 3,000-person event center June 30, which has welcomed such big-name acts as Dolly Parton and comedian Bill Burr over the years.

When it’s time to eat, Deadwood Mountain Grand has two restaurants for visitors to savor. At Dale’s, guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in a rock-and-roll setting or on the restaurant’s seasonal patio overlooking Whitewood Creek. Sports fans, meanwhile, will want to check out Dale’s Sportsbook, Bar & Grill, which boasts a 40-foot-wide video wall and plenty of big screens to catch the action on. Allegiant passengers traveling to Reno will have no problem entertaining themselves there, but those who venture to Carson City and beyond will discover there’s so much more to the area than casinos.

FAST AND FLAVORFUL
Food halls offer a sophisticated alternative to quick-service dining on the Las Vegas Strip

While it’s always comforting getting a quick bite to eat at a familiar restaurant, visiting a foodie destination like Las Vegas is an opportunity to try something new. Perhaps that’s why so many resorts have opened food halls in recent years, with ARIA Resort & Casino’s Proper Eats being the latest Strip property to do so.
“As our guests’ desires for experiences evolve over time, so does ARIA’s culinary portfolio,” said ARIA’s vice president of food and beverage, Mark Gilbert. “In partnership with the talented team at Clique Hospitality, we conceptualized the food hall experience to provide diners many wonderful dining options all in one energized setting.”
Elevating the traditional food court experience, most food halls feature first-tomarket regional favorites and casual concepts by celebrity chefs versus fast food chains. For instance, at Proper Eats, guests will find such sought-after imports as Food Network

ROCK & ROLLING BOWLING BALLS

At Brooklyn Bowl Vegas
By Sean DaviesKnown as one of the greatest music venues in America, Brooklyn Bowl’s Las Vegas location has kept the quality the venue chain is known for while becoming an integral part of the LINQ Promenade, Caesars Entertainment’s outdoor shopping and dining experience.

Even while situated next to the world’s largest Ferris wheel in one of the most entertaining areas of the Strip, an entire evening can be gleefully spent inside the venue/bowling alley/restaurant without feeling a longing for the goings-on outside.
After a quick trip up their startlingly tall escalator, the smells of comfort food by NYC’s Blue Ribbon welcome budding bowlers, accompanied by a chorus of bowling balls sliding along the 32 hardwood lanes, designed by Brunswick, the leading authority on all things bowling.

A bowler’s typical meal of processed cheese covered nachos, microwaved pizza and sinewy chicken wings have been given a much-needed upgrade, elevated to the heights of french fries covered in provolone, cheddar, chicken gravy and Cajun spices; artisan French bread pizzas with fresh mozzarella and entire fried chicken dinners complete with collard greens.
The venue itself can accommodate
3,000 people, both on the main floor and in the lanes and lounges adjacent to the stage. The Bowler’s Lounge, with leather chesterfield sofas and views of both lanes and stages, is the optimal place to enjoy a show from a seated vantage point. The private lounge boxes above the main floor also provide a viewing point safe from potentially moshing crowds.
Drinks can be purchased at any one of the six working bars on-site, so there’s never too much of a hassle getting a beverage during a show. Thanks to the huge standing room, imbibers will be able to wiggle their way back to their spot without much fuss from fellow concert goers.
This summer, artists like British musician Yungblud, German power metal band Helloween, and a double bill of Trivium and Beartooth will shake the venue with the might of rock and roll. Tickets and special event booking are available on their website. brooklynbowl.com/las-vegas

A TRIBUTE FIT FOR ROYALTY
It seems only fitting that The Shops at Crystals, which houses dozens of designer boutiques by such notable names as Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford, is now home to an exhibition on one of the world’s most beloved fashion icons

Showcasing more than 700 authentic artifacts that took over 45 years to assemble, including more than 300 pieces never displayed before, “Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition” opened adjacent to ARIA Resort & Casino in September. The 10,000-squarefoot exhibition features 12 curated rooms that detail the life of “The People’s Princess,” starting at her aristocratic family estate and journeying through her whirlwind introduction to — and ultimate reinvention of — Royal life.

By Heather Turk“Las Vegas is where people come for the best of the best,” said exhibition curator David Corelli. “With the premier collection of iconic Diana artifacts, we felt this was an opportunity to build the best daytime attraction on the Strip. The exhibit combines Las Vegas entertainment with the world’s most extensive on-display collection of Diana and the Royal Family.”
Offering something for everyone, the exhibition not only features several of Diana’s authentic evening gowns and fashion garments, but also a collection of correspondence, gifts and personal items belonging or relating to Diana and other members of the Royal Family, including King Charles and Queen Elizabeth II. There are also several artistic replicas on display, including Diana’s wedding gown created by worldrenowned artist Isabelle de Borchgrave. One of the exhibition’s most remarkable collections features 79 Barbie-sized dress replicas that were exclusively commissioned for the Las Vegas attraction. Made by a team of global seamstresses over three years, the intricate gowns feature the exact beadwork and embroidery characteristics used to produce Diana’s original couture dresses, which she auctioned off to benefit cancer and AIDS research just two months before her tragic passing.
Guests can hear more about the items on display by upgrading their admission tickets to include an informative audio guide tour that takes about an hour to complete. There are a couple of interactive elements housed within the exhibition as well, including the opportunity for guests to take a digital photograph alongside of Diana wearing her sexy “revenge dress.”

“Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition” opens daily at 11 a.m., with the last admission at 6 p.m. A portion of each ticket sold is donated to Pink Ribbons Crusade, an all-volunteer charity that’s sharing its multimillion-dollar collection of Diana artifacts and Royal Family memorabilia to raise funds to fight breast cancer. dianalasvegas.com

A PERFECT MATCH
By Heather TurkCirque du Soleil celebrates 30 years of jaw-dropping moments on the Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas may be known for many things, but since 1993, the city has been synonymous with Cirque du Soleil.

Since accepting the challenge to “plant a flower in the desert” with its first permanent production, “Mystère” at Treasure Island, Cirque du Soleil has evolved into the perennial Las Vegas entertainment experience. Now boasting six resident productions in Las Vegas, plus Blue Man Group at Luxor, which became a part of the Cirque du Soleil family in 2017, Cirque du Soleil’s success over the past 30 years can be credited to one thing: the company never rests on its laurels.
“The six Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas are all unique and distinct experiences and a true testament to the creative diversity of Cirque

du Soleil,” said Eric Grilly, president of Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas resident shows division and affiliate shows division. “Las Vegas has been the ideal backdrop for Cirque du Soleil’s creative evolution and has granted us the ability to bring our greatest ideas to life. We’ve had the unique privilege of growing alongside the city and its people, allowing us the remarkable opportunity to plant roots here. Cirque du Soleil has dazzled audiences from around the world for the last 30 years and we look forward to 30 more.”
Although that may seem like a bold statement to make, Cirque du Soleil sees its shows as living, breathing works of art that are constantly changing through creative enhancements and evolution. That means unlike some other Las Vegas productions, Cirque du Soleil’s shows almost always offer audiences something new to enjoy — even if it is just something ticket holders missed before. Its acrobatic productions are so visually spectacular, it is impossible to take in everything in just one viewing. That is part of the reason why “Mystère” isn’t the only Cirque du Soleil show celebrating a milestone anniversary this year. In addition to “Mystère” celebrating its 30th anniversary in December, Cirque du Soleil’s aquatic masterpiece “O” at Bellagio will celebrate its 25th anniversary in October, and Cirque du Soleil’s dazzling tribute to the King of Pop, “Michael Jackson ONE” at Mandalay Bay, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in June.
Several Cirque du Soleil shows on the Strip have recently undergone changes, as well, including the company’s newest production, “Mad Apple” at New York-New York. While the show generally features rotating acts given its cabaret nature, Cirque du Soleil’s love letter to New York City recently introduced a daring new double wheel act. Fans who have seen Cirque du Soleil’s martial arts extravaganza “KÀ”

at MGM Grand before might notice some enhancements as well, as its musical score was updated to inject more energy into the already lively production. Complementing the more majestic score are elevated acrobatic elements. Blue Man Group also refreshed its finale last November with a rockin’ number that brings back the drumming trio’s paper streamers in a fun new way.
Fun Fact!
Cirque du Soleil is hosting a 30th anniversary sweepstakes on its website where one lucky winner will win an all-inclusive VIP experience for two to see its six signature productions in Las Vegas. But enter soon — the contest ends June 15!

VIP Experiences are currently available at “O,” “Michael Jackson ONE,” “KÀ,” “Mystère” and Blue Man Group to make the theater-going experience even more memorable. Each addon is unique, like “O’s” La Grande Expérience, which includes a luxurious pre-show reception where ticket holders get to watch an informative behind-the-scenes video about the production and take a commemorative photo with some of “O’s” talented performers. Afterward, guests are seated in a plush suite where they can view the production while enjoying complimentary snacks and Champagne. Blue Man Group’s VIP Experience includes a meet and greet with the show’s stars following the performance, a complimentary snack and beverage to enjoy during the show and a swag bag filled with Blue Man Group-branded items.
Given Cirque du Soleil’s impressive track record of creating experiences that are universally adored in the Entertainment Capital of the World, the sun is not setting anytime soon on its time in Las Vegas. cirquedusoleil.com/las-vegas-shows

WHAT A RUSH!
Las Vegas thrill rides that will leave you screaming for more
By Heather TurkRisking your hard-earned money on the casino floor isn’t the only way to get your adrenaline pumping in Las Vegas. The city is home to several thrill rides that know how to leave adrenaline junkies screaming with excitement.

The Adventuredome at Circus Circus is home to more than two dozen rides and attractions — including the world’s only indoor doubleloop, double-corkscrew roller coaster, Canyon Blaster. The 184,230-square-foot amusement park offers thrills for visitors of almost any age. Highlights include El Loco, a steel roller coaster featuring a 90-degree drop and two inversions, and the recently added family thrill ride, NebulaZ. Completing 14 rotations per minute, NebulaZ has four arms that rotate in fast intermeshing orbits. Riders will feel the sensation of catching air as they soar over the top of the attraction, which stands more than 32 feet tall. circuscircus.com

New York-New York Hotel & Casino offers plenty of hair-raising thrills of its own aboard The Big Apple Coaster. The world’s first roller coaster to feature a 180-degree heartline twist and dive maneuver, the heart-pounding ride provides passengers with a sensation similar to what pilots feel doing a barrel roll in an airplane while also showcasing striking views of the Strip. newyorknewyork. mgmresorts.com
For those who consider themselves truly fearless, the thrill rides at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod offer an adrenaline rush
unlike any other. Not intended for weak stomachs, X-Scream teeters riders 27 feet over the edge of the resort’s 866-foot-high SkyPod, while Big Shot catapults passengers 160 feet into the air up the mast that extends from the top of the property’s tower at 45 miles per hour. Both rides boast jaw-dropping views — but only for those brave enough to keep their eyes open. thestrat.com

Music residencies heating up the Entertainment Capital of the World
By Heather TurkConcertgoers visiting the Entertainment Capital of the World this June, July and August will find some of the biggest names in music headlining their own Las Vegas residencies.

Kelly Clarkson is the latest A-list artist to join the city’s ever-evolving music residency scene, as the former “American Idol” winner is set to kick off “Chemistry…an intimate night with Kelly Clarkson” at Bakkt Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino July 28. Running 10 nights through Aug. 19 at 8 p.m., the long-awaited engagement will feature Clarkson singing hits from her two-decades-long music career, like “Since U Been Gone” and “Miss Independent.”
Before Clarkson takes the Bakkt (formerly Zappos) stage, two country superstars will be resuming their hit residencies inside the theater. Keith Urban will perform his second residency in Las Vegas, “Keith Urban: The Las Vegas Residency,” Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, June 16 through July 1, at 8 p.m., and Miranda Lambert will perform “Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency” Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, July 7 through 22, at 8 p.m. Ticket holders don’t have to be huge country music fans to enjoy either residency, as both Urban and Lambert put on phenomenal shows — complete with plenty of pyrotechnics for

the “Gunpowder & Lead” songstress. Fans will be delighted to hear that Urban performs “You’ll Think of Me” in the crowd and has been known to call some lucky audience members up onstage to get to know them better. caesars.com/planet-hollywood/shows

Fellow country superstar (and “American Idol” winner) Carrie Underwood is also scheduled to resume her “REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency” at Resorts World Las Vegas this summer. One of the Strip’s best music residencies, “Katy Perry: PLAY” resumes performances Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, July 28 through Aug. 12, at 8 p.m. The over-the-top spectacle features Perry performing her greatest hits, like “Waking Up in Vegas” and “I Kissed a Girl,” alongside a cast of larger-than-life characters that includes a talking rat, a sexy frog and a singing toilet. Then, on Aug. 30, at 8 p.m., “Luke Bryan:

The high-octane production not only features a shifting stage that lifts Bryan and his band to the rhythms of his songs, but also a catwalk that elevates the “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)” singer to eye level with fans in the mezzanine. rwlasvegas.com/entertainment
Dolby Live at Park MGM is home to several can’t-miss residencies, too, including the Strip’s newest must-see show: “M5LV The Residency.” Returning Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, July 28 through Aug. 12, at 8 p.m., the rockin’ production features Maroon 5 performing their catchy catalog of hits — including an acoustic version of “She Will Be Loved” in the audience — while taking fans on a journey that showcases who the group is and where they came from. The band even pays tribute to their late manager, Jordan Feldstein, before performing “Memories.” Bruno Mars will also

be wrapping up his latest string of dates at the venue June 2 and 3 at 9 p.m., and Usher will continue his dynamic “My Way The Vegas Residency” select dates June 16 through July 15 at 9 p.m. parkmgm.mgmresorts.com/en/ entertainment/dolby-live.html

Two other in-demand concert residencies can be found inside The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Adele will once again say “Hello” to her “Weekends with Adele” residency every Friday and Saturday, June 16 through July 1 as well as throughout the month of Aug., at 8 p.m., and Garth Brooks will return to The Colosseum stage to perform “Garth Brooks/ Plus ONE” Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, June 1 through 4 and July 6 through 23, at 8 p.m. With no two performances ever the same, it’s easy to see why the “Friends in Low Places” singer’s residency has become one of the Strip’s hottest tickets. caesars.com/caesarspalace/shows/the-colosseum

Spend your Vegas vacation exploring downtown Las Vegas

There’s more to Las Vegas than just the Strip. Downtown Las Vegas is truly a destination unto itself, as it is home to some of the city’s most unforgettable and unique experiences.
Arguably no Vegas vacation is complete without visiting Fremont Street Experience, a six-block entertainment district that attracts more than 24 million visitors every year. Famous for its free live entertainment, the centerpiece of Fremont Street Experience is the world’s largest video screen — Viva Vision — which hangs 90 feet above the pedestrian mall and spans five city blocks. Featuring 49.3 million energy-efficient LED lights and a state-of-the-art 600,000-watt concert-quality sound system, Viva Vision plays dazzling light and sound shows each night. In addition to its signature light show, “MIXology,” which features iconic songs across multiple decades and genres as it takes visitors on a visual and sensorial journey, pedestrians can watch light shows set to songs by some of their favorite music acts, including Shakira, Stone Temple Pilots and Las Vegas’ own Imagine Dragons and The Killers. vegasexperience.com/vivavision-light-show
Thrill seekers can even soar underneath the Viva Vision canopy on downtown Vegas’s Viva Vision’s graphics are more stunning than ever after undergoing a $32 million renovation in 2019 Photo of Viva Vision canopy by Black Raven Films; SlotZilla courtesy of Fremont Street Experience; Legacy Club by Black Raven Films; Stadium Swim by Rum Tongue Mediaunique zipline attraction, SlotZilla. Offering two exhilarating experiences, the heartpounding attraction lets guests launch from an 11-story slot-machine-themed platform and either glide 850 feet in a seated position 77 feet above the ground on its zipline, or soar 114 feet in the air in a horizontal “Superman” position for 1,750 feet on its zoomline. Whichever experience riders decide on, they’re in for a real scream! vegasexperience.com/slotzilla-zip-line
Fremont Street Experience offers direct pedestrian access to eight hotel-casinos as well, including the first new hotel-casino to be built in the area since 1980: Circa Resort & Casino. The 21-and-older property opened in late 2020 and is especially popular during the summer months, as sports fans love to cool off at its pool, Stadium Swim, while watching the latest games on a 40-foot-tall, 143-footdiagonal, 14-million-megapixel LED screen. Not only can fans cheer on their favorite teams from one of six temperature-controlled pools or two hot tubs at the spacious three-level pool amphitheater, but they can also see the current betting odds and place their wagers on-site. circalasvegas.com/stadium-swim
Legacy Club is another popular spot at Circa Resort & Casino in the summer, as guests love

portrayal in pop culture. Home to hundreds of artifacts, including the bullet-riddled brick wall from the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, the 41,000-square-foot museum features a variety of interactive exhibits, films and high-tech audiovisual displays that examine such topics as how Las Vegas attracted mobsters and how organized crime persists today. There’s even a working distillery and speakeasy in the basement where adults can enjoy Roaring ’20s cocktails while surrounded by artifacts and stories from the Prohibition era. Various special events are held throughout summer, too, including a Wiseguy Speaker Series event with author and historian Alan Geik June 22 and the “50th Anniversary of the DEA: A Conversation with Retired Agents” event July 27. themobmuseum.org

Visitors can learn more about Las Vegas’ history at downtown Las Vegas’ most illuminating attraction, The Neon Museum. The 2.27-acre campus has an outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard that’s home to more than 250 signs that were once featured around the city — like the newly restored “Lido de Paris” revue sign, which pays homage to one of the longest-running shows in Las Vegas history and the birthplace of the classic Las Vegas

showgirl. Guests can book a guided tour to hear more about these dazzling treasures, 23 of which are electrified at night while the others are dramatically lit from the ground. Additionally, visitors can purchase a ticket to see the recently revamped 360-degree audiovisual experience “’Brilliant!’ Jackpot” in the museum’s North Gallery, which uses technology to reanimate more than 40 nonoperational signs. neonmuseum.org
A true cultural hub, downtown Las Vegas is also widely regarded for its arts scene, which only continues to grow thanks to the recent addition of The Beverly Theater. The twostory, 14,306-square-foot film house and performance theater just opened in March and features three distinct areas — a main theater, a jazz terrace and a courtyard — that were each designed with a purpose. From indie film screenings to live concerts and literary events, the theater regularly hosts thoughtful

programming that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the city. thebeverlytheater.com
Art afficionados frequent the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas every month, too, for its popular First Friday event. A staple in the community for more than 20 years, the free monthly event celebrates Las Vegas’ local arts scene by creating a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work. Open to guests of all ages, the family-friendly festival is held on — you guessed it — the first Friday of every month from 5 to 11 p.m., and typically features more than 100 local artists, craft vendors, food vendors and sponsors. Attendees can participate in interactive activations and see various live performances ranging from music and dance to poetry readings. ffflv.org
Discerning diners will never be disappointed by downtown Las Vegas’ restaurant scene either, as the area boasts several mouthwatering establishments. Foodies can get a taste of some of downtown Las Vegas’ most delectable restaurants by booking a guided walking tour with Lip Smacking Foodie Tours. The acclaimed culinary tour company offers two different restaurant tours in downtown Las Vegas: one that covers the Arts District and another one that primarily covers the Fremont East District, which is located just steps away

from Fremont Street Experience. Each 2-and-a-half-hour tour showcases three of the area’s most remarkable restaurants, like celebrity chef Todd English’s The Pepper Club or local favorite Carson Kitchen. Diners will immediately be escorted to their table upon arrival and given three or four signature dishes to savor at each eatery, offering a true taste of downtown Las Vegas. lipsmackingfoodietours.com
With all this and so much more to experience, it’s easy to see why so many visitors aren’t making downtown Las Vegas just a quick side trip off the Strip anymore.

Universal Studios gets a new Nintendo themed Power-Up

The Mushroom Kingdom has sprouted in Universal Studios Hollywood. Visitors to the So-Cal theme park can now step through a big green Warp Pipe and into Super Nintendo World, a fully immersive video game level brought to life, featuring a new themed restaurant, retail store and thrilling ride.
While the new themed additions are a welcome expansion, Super Nintendo World really raises the bar by giving guests the
power to become active players in an augmented reality video game throughout the area. By purchasing one of six Nintendo character themed Power-Up bands, guests can use an app to join their character’s team and compete throughout the park.
And what better place to make the PowerUp Band purchase than Super Nintendo World’s flagship store, the 1-Up Factory. Beneath whirling gears and churning green pipes, familiar items from the franchise, like plushy bob-ombs and inky squids, sit
Pirhana plants, goombas and “?” blocks pop up all around Super Nintendo Worldwhich also allows guests to track their score on the interactive new ride Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge. Set inside Bowser’s Castle, the ride is a 4D trip through multiple Mario Kart levels, filled with havoc-inducing banana peels, explosive shells and oh-somany coins!

Guests compete against each other and the infamous Koopa King himself to win the coveted golden cup, seen on display in the queue for the ride. By tapping their wristband to the steering wheel, the coins collected on the ride will add to their overall score for the day. True completionists will want to return time and time again to catch all of the ride’s multiple endings and fatten their coin purse in the process.
When the hunger for victory gives way to the hunger for food, Chef Toad at the Toadstool Cafe is on hand. The mushroom shaped character’s mushroom shaped restaurant has a menu of Nintendo themed dishes, some of which may also be mushroom shaped.

These plentiful pickings include burgers topped with mustaches, Piranha Plant salads and “?” Block shaped tiramisu. Chef Toad has even seen fit to add gluten-free and vegetarian menu items to accommodate all party members. Outside the windows, Nintendo characters frolic through the many diverse landscapes of the Mushroom Kingdom and stop by to envy the satiated crowds dining inside.
Early access passes to Super Nintendo World can be added to any ticket purchase, giving access to the park one hour before it opens to general admission tickets. For those who like to win, it’s a great head start. universalstudioshollywood.com

Jerry’s first flight
By Allison BarnettWhen crew members in Mesa, Arizona, met Jerry, they knew there was something special about him. At 86 years old, Jerry was flying for the very first time!

The rest of the passengers also recognized what a special moment this was and cheered for his arrival. The first officer even got up and let Jerry take a seat in his chair so he could check out the flight deck. He then made his way to his seat amidst a hero’s welcome.
As they ascended into the air and headed north, Jerry vividly recalls how amazing it was to see the Grand Canyon from above. Throughout the flight, we got to know Jerry and his wife, Marilyn, a little better and realized that their incredible (and adorable) story expanded way beyond this first flight.
The two met square dancing one night and hit it off. They got married and raised a family on Jerry’s farm. It had been in his family for 100 years!

As time passed, it became harder to maintain. The kids grew up and started their own lives and families. After much deliberation, Jerry and Marilyn decided to sell the farm to an event company that converted the space into a beautiful wedding venue with all the original buildings still intact.
After selling the farm, the duo packed up and hit the road. They traveled full time for months for square dancing. The square-
dancing community is another family for them, and they love connecting with the people it draws.
They might have kept going, if it wasn’t for their grandson’s winter wedding. The drive would be too long, so they made the decision to take their first flight to Great Falls, Montana. For the first time in 12 years, they got to spend Christmas with their family.
When asked if he would fly again, Jerry quickly brought up a hopeful trip to Branson, Missouri. Throughout all their travels, Branson was never on the list. This year they hope to go and see everything the tourist town has to offer!
We were so honored to be a part of this heartwarming story. Can’t wait to have you back on-board Jerry!

You’re never too old for your first flight

SAFETY FIRST
Customer safety is Allegiant®’s first concern. Please be advised that interference with the duties of crew members, including flight attendants, is a violation of federal laws. Our crews are thoroughly trained in all safety procedures. To ensure your own safety, we hope you take a moment to review the safety information card located in the seat pocket in front of you. Be aware of the following:
• Location of the nearest emergency exit
• Location of your emergency oxygen mask, if needed
• Correct procedure for exiting the cabin in an emergency
SEAT BELTS
Seat belts must be fastened ANY TIME the seat belt sign is on, during taxi, takeoff and landing. Once the seat belt sign is turned off, you may walk around the cabin. Due to unexpected turbulence, it is strongly recommended that you keep your seat belt fastened any time while in your seat. Allegiant’s exit seating policy does not allow the use of seat belt extensions in the exit seats due to tripping hazards.
CHILD RESTRAINT SEATS
Federal Aviation Administration requires that all child restraint seats used on planes meet federal safety standards. Acceptable seats bear proper labeling “THIS RESTRAINT IS CERTIFIED FOR USE IN MOTOR VEHICLES AND AIRCRAFT" from the manufacturer. Unlabeled seats or seats manufactured before Jan. 1, 1981, are not acceptable. Child restraint seats are to be placed into a window seat and secured with an aircraft seat belt.
PHOTOS & VIDEOS ONBOARD
The use of small cameras or mobile devices for photography and video is permitted onboard provided you keep the purpose of your photography and video to capturing personal events. Photographing or recording other customers or airline personnel without their express consent is prohibited. Airline personnel reserve the right to prohibit photos and videos onboard the aircraft if it becomes a disturbance to them or other passengers.
