Allegiant’s Allways Rewards® and Allways Rewards Visa® card are the perfect travel combination
By Heather Turk
Whether you are hoping to visit out-of-state friends and family members more often in the new year or you just want to see the country, Allegiant is making travel more affordable than ever with its Allways Rewards® loyalty program and Allways Rewards Visa® card.
Since its debut in August 2021, more than 19 million people have joined Allegiant’s Allways Rewards®. Winner of USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Frequent Flyer Program in 2024 and 2022, the free rewards program lets members earn one point for every dollar spent on Allegiant or Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor purchases and two points for every dollar spent on Allegiant travel packages over $500 (before taxes and fees). Each point earned is worth a penny, which members can redeem on future Allegiant purchases at any time for any amount. So, members can save up enough points to book their next flight, hotel or rental car on

allegiant.com for free, or redeem their points for as little as $1 off their next booking — the choice is theirs! Since the program is based on points instead of miles, there is no tricky math needed to understand what kind of rewards members are earning.
While points can accumulate fast since Allways Rewards® loyalty program members earn points on any Allegiant purchase made with their account — like their children’s or spouse’s airfare tickets — members can earn points even faster when they apply for the Allways Rewards Visa® card. Winner of USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Airline Credit Card for six consecutive years (2019 through 2024), the Allways Rewards Visa® card lets cardholders earn one point for every dollar spent on Allegiant purchases with the Allways Rewards program and earn 3 points for every dollar spent on Allegiant purchases with the Allways Rewards Visa® card, for a total of 4 points earned for every dollar spent with Allegiant. Cardholders earn points when they use their Visa card for everyday purchases, too!
Additional benefits are included with the Allways Rewards Visa® card’s low annual fee as well. Whereas points earned with the Allways Rewards® loyalty program expire after 24 months of inactivity, an Allways Rewards Visa® cardholder’s points don’t expire as long as their Visa account remains open. Additionally, the Allways Rewards Visa® card offers several exclusive benefits that make cardholders feel like a VIP when traveling with Allegiant, including a dedicated customer service phone line, complimentary priority checkin for everyone on the cardholder’s itinerary and a buy-one-get-one-free airfare offer anytime cardholders use their Visa card to purchase a vacation package from Allegiant with four or more hotel nights or seven or more rental car days on the same itinerary. Cardholders simply have to call

“With the Allways Rewards Visa® card, you get tangible benefits right off the bat, including one free drink every time you fly on Allegiant, free priority boarding for you and everyone on your itinerary and BOGO airfare, with qualifications,” said Ainsley Escobar, manager of Allegiant’s Allways Rewards Visa®card. “With other credit cards, you have to reach a certain threshold to achieve similar benefits, like companion fares.”
Since the Allways Rewards Visa® card debuted in September 2016, more than 500,000 people have taken advantage of the benefits that come with being a cardholder. For those who want to apply for the credit card while flying with Allegiant, passengers can take advantage of a special in-flight bonus points offer that is equal to $300 off a future Allegiant trip when you redeem points. Simply make $1,000 or more in purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account and you will earn 30,000 bonus points. Already an Allways Rewards® loyalty member? Not to worry — your Allways Rewards Visa® card will be added to your existing Allways Rewards® account, so you won’t lose any unredeemed points that you have already earned. To apply for the Allways Rewards Visa® card and take advantage of this special in-flight offer, simply ask your flight attendant for a credit card application to fill out. Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, Valentine’s Day or just some much-needed time away with the one you love, there are several romantic ways to spend a day with your significant other in Punta Gorda/ Englewood Beach.
Couples can walk on the beach hand in hand looking for bull, mako and other types of fossilized shark teeth at Stump Pass Beach State Park. The secluded Englewood beach is a popular place to search for shark teeth and seashells that have washed ashore in the early morning — especially during the winter months. Guests can even make a wish by hanging any seashell they find on one of the many “wishing trees” located on the milelong white sand beach. While visiting the park, couples can also look for wildlife like gopher tortoises and magnificent frigatebirds on its 1.3-mile hiking trail or go swimming. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/stumppass-beach-state-park
King Fisher Fleet’s Sunset Cruise is another romantic activity couples can relish. Dolphins are often spotted during the relaxing 90-minute excursion, which takes passengers out into Charlotte Harbor to watch the sun slip below the horizon. During the month of December, couples can enjoy
some extra merriment, as the company’s two-hour Sunset Cruise/Christmas Light Canal Cruise Combo takes guests into Punta Gorda’s residential canals after they watch the sunset to view the festive light displays. kingfisherfleet.com
When it’s time for dinner, Magnolias on the Bay is the perfect place for a romantic meal. Diners frequently see manatees and dolphins gliding through Lemon Bay as they eat at the upscale waterfront restaurant, which serves everything from steak to sushi. While the menu changes monthly, flavorful favorites include the U-10 sea scallops and the truffled mushroom gnocchi. Cozy fire pit tables are available for couples who want to heat things up, and the open-air restaurant can be booked for weddings. fishermensvillage.com
Discover an endlessly entertaining, totally relaxing waterfront destination where life is so simple — and simply amazing. Stay and play here. Eat and drink here. Meet and greet here. Whether you’re staying for a few days or an entire season, our lineup of one-of-a-kind culinary experiences and the gulf coasts finest amenities are the perfect accompaniments to an unforgettable stay.

Earn prizes while exploring Lee County’s natural beauty with the Calusa Blueway Challenge
By Heather Turk
Meandering 190 miles along the back bays and wildlife-laden shores of Lee County near Sanibel and Fort Myers, the Great Calusa Blueway should be at the top of every paddler’s must-do list when visiting Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Named after the seafaring Calusa Native American tribe, who thrived for centuries in Southwest Florida before the arrival of the Spaniards in the early 16th century, the Great Calusa Blueway was established in 2002. Perfect for every paddling adventure from short, novice-level trips to overnight excursions, the trail features easy-toidentify markers that guide kayakers and standup paddleboarders away from powerboat traffic and through calm areas that are only a foot or two deep. It’s also among the first water trails in the country to have a free state-of-the-art smartphone application that provides, among other things, real-time GPS coordinates.
“While we do our best to make it easy for visitors to plan their paddling adventures, the Calusa Blueway isn’t just markers, maps and an app — it is the connection paddlers get to the past when visiting the indigenous Calusa sites that are thousands of years old,” said Lee County Parks and Recreation’s Calusa Blueway coordinator, Mike Hammond. “It’s the emersion in nature while gliding under the canopy of a mangrove tunnel filled with birds and small crabs, and the thrill of dolphins and manatees swimming by when you least
expect it. When you slow down and paddle on the Calusa Blueway, you’re not just observing it, you become a part of it.”
To inspire paddlers to experience everything the Great Calusa Blueway has to offer, the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau is hosting a virtual passport game through Feb. 28, 2025 — the Calusa Blueway Challenge — that features parks, launches, points of interest, outfitters and other businesses along the trail. When paddlers open the passport on their phone to check in at more than 40 participating locations, they will earn points they can redeem for exclusive Calusa Blueway prizes. Participants who check in to at least 75% of the locations will also be entered to win an 11-foot Body Glove Performer inflatable paddleboard or a two-night stay at the historic Tarpon Lodge on Pine Island.
One business participating in the Calusa Blueway Challenge is Tarpon Bay Explorers, which Hammond recommends to paddlers interested in exploring Tarpon Bay on Sanibel Island. The area is renowned as a top birding destination, and manatee
sightings are common. Visitors can rent a paddle craft through Tarpon Bay Explorers to paddle through the mangrove forest along Tarpon Bay’s Commodore Creek Kayak Trail by themselves, or book a guided nature tour.
Wherever paddlers decide to go, their time on the Great Calusa Blueway is sure to be unforgettable. visitfortmyers.com/ calusablueway
In addition to Tarpon Bay, Hammond highly recommends Bunche Beach for first-time guests paddling the Great Calusa Blueway. Lee County’s only mainland beach, Bunche Beach is a great place to view wildlife and go fishing.
Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens illuminated by holiday lights during Gardens Aglow
By Heather Turk
Even the biggest scrooge can’t help but get into the holiday spirit when visiting Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach. What the Southwest Florida destination lacks in snow it makes up for in holiday cheer.
Fishermen’s Village is always a popular spot to visit during the holiday season. Not only can guests do some last-minute holiday shopping at 30 boutiques selling everything from unique handmade wares by Florida artists to stylish pet accessories, but throughout the month of December, the Charlotte Harbor attraction is adorned with more than 1 million lights and holiday-themed decorations during its free Festival of Lights event. For more than a decade, Fishermen’s Village has hosted one of the area’s most popular New Year’s Eve celebrations as well. Beginning at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31, revelers can enjoy live music in the center court and family-friendly activities like face painting and temporary tattoo applications on the village promenade. Then at 8 p.m., a full concert band will perform on the dry beach until midnight, when a spectacular fireworks display will light up the harbor. Admission is free, so be sure to arrive early for the best vantage point. fishermensvillage.com
For more dazzling photo opportunities, head on over to Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens for its fifth annual Gardens Aglow event. From Dec. 12 through 23, from 6 to 9 p.m., the 27-acre sanctuary known for blending Florida’s natural landscape with more than 4,500 botanicals and 22 sculptures from artists across the globe will sparkle with thousands of holiday lights. Guests can visit with Santa, roast s’mores over a fire pit, listen to live carolers and even enter a raffle to win their own Christmas tree during the separately ticketed event. peacerivergardens.org

Guests can see additional merry lights during Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association’s annual Saturday Night Before Christmas Eve Boat Parade, Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. Now in its 24th year, the free event features several locations for the public to watch the parade along its 4-mile-long route through the canals of Punta Gorda Isles. Most spectators will only be 50 feet away from the decorated vessels as they cruise by! puntagordaboatparade.com
Finally, for a holiday dinner experience unlike any other, stop by Visani Italian Steakhouse and Comedy Theater for the “Elvis Tribute Christmas Show,” Dec. 16 and 17. The production invites guests to savor a delicious three-course dinner before watching five-time world champion Elvis Presley tribute artist Dwight Icenhower take the stage at 7:30 p.m. to pay tribute to The King’s career from the 1950s to the 1970s. Accompanied by the Blue Suede Band, Icenhower will perform many of Presley’s Christmas classics and rock ‘n’ roll hits, including “Blue Christmas” and “Suspicious Minds.” visani.net

Punta Gorda is one of Florida’s most relaxed, peaceful communities. With a historic ambience and intimate feeling, it’s a small town that seems more like a neighborhood. And with a citizenry that is connected, involved and concerned for their town and each other, it’s more than a town, it’s a true “community.” It’s what so many of its residents have spent a lifetime seeking, and now have found in a place that truly is a “harbor,” offering safety, comfort, and a place to set forth on more of life’s great adventures.

One of Fort Myers’ newest attractions is quickly becoming the toast of the town.
Featuring an urban-chic atmosphere complete with greenery and repurposed shipping containers, Bay Street Yard opened in downtown Fort Myers this past June. The 12,000-square-foot outdoor entertainment venue features a covered stage for live performances and DJs as well as an 8-foottall by 13-foot-wide LED TV screen to view sporting events. Guests can also play a variety of outdoor games, such as cornhole and bocce.
“During the winter, Bay Street Yard will be fully activated top to bottom with live music, exciting sports programming and special events,” said co-owner David Fry. “Our outdoor multi-level venue is an urban oasis in the heart of downtown Fort Myers, promising cool drinks, delicious food and an elevated experience.”
Live music is showcased each day Bay Street Yard is open, with acts that run the gamut from rock bands to reggae artists. On most days, two different acts are featured. While guests enjoy the free tunes, they can order a drink from one of two full-service bars. In addition to seasonal signature cocktails, Bay Street Yard has 10 rotating beers on tap and seven canned selections — including beers from Florida breweries like Fort Myers Brewing Company and Bradenton’s Motorworks Brewing.

By Heather Turk Winter fun at Universal
This winter, guests are in store for more thrills than ever at Universal Orlando Resort thanks to a recent debut, fun seasonal events and two new resort openings.
Fans of DreamWorks Animation franchises such as “Shrek,” “Trolls” and “Kung Fu Panda” will want to check out the all-new DreamWorks Land that opened at Universal Studios Florida this past June. Located near the park’s E.T. Adventure ride, DreamWorks Land invites visitors to step inside the worlds of some of their favorite DreamWorks Animation characters. Guests can meet Shrek, Fiona and Donkey outside of Shrek’s cottage; hop on the family-friendly Trolls Trollercoaster to escape spooky spiders with Poppy, Tiny, Satin and Chenille; and learn some kung fu moves from Po in Panda Village. Guests will further be transported into the worlds of some of their favorite DreamWorks Animation characters during “DreamWorks Imagination Celebration.” The multisensory show brings beloved DreamWorks stories to life like never before with live actors, dancers and animated characters.
Guests visiting Universal Studios Florida through Dec. 31 can also see some of their favorite characters from DreamWorks Animation’s “Shrek” and “Madagascar” films during Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. Part of Universal Orlando Resort’s annual Universal Holidays festivities, the parade features larger-than-life balloons floating through the streets of Universal Studios Florida as well as appearances by the Minions from Illumination’s “Despicable
Me” franchise. More festive fun can be found at Grinchmas inside Universal Islands of Adventure, where guests can enjoy seasonal decorations at Seuss Landing and watch “The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” starring the maven of mischief himself. Additionally, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will get into the holiday spirit with seasonal décor at Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade in Universal Islands of Adventure, plus live musical performances with a holiday twist from the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees.
For those visiting Universal Studios Florida after the holiday season, Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval returns Feb. 1, 2025. Guests can watch jaw-dropping floats inspired by New Orleans and global Carnaval celebrations pass by while trying to catch some beads during a spectacular Mardi Gras parade held on select nights through March 30, as well as savor authentic Cajun fare.
Fun Fact: Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort will each have their own 10,000-square-foot pool when the properties open later this winter.
Visitors will soon have two new outof-this-world places to stay, too, while visiting Universal Orlando Resort. Placing guests in the center of marvelous galaxies and diverse planetary elements for an experience unlike any other in the universe, Universal Stella Nova Resort opens Jan. 21, and Universal Terra Luna Resort opens Feb. 25. Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens has come a long way since it was first established as the Sanford Zoo in 1923, when a rhesus monkey was given to the Sanford Elk club by a traveling circus. Today, the 116-acre attraction along Lake Monroe is home to more than 350 animals representing more than 100 species.
“Amid the thrills of Orlando’s theme parks, the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford is a must visit for all ages for an unforgettable, wild adventure,” said the zoo’s CEO, Richard E. Glover, Jr. “As a not-for-profit organization, the zoo is a leader in conservation, providing experiences that inspire actions on behalf of wildlife.”
Guests can get up close to a wide variety of animals during their visit, from giraffes and Florida black bears to three new squirrel monkeys that were introduced to the zoo’s shared primate habitat earlier this year. For an additional fee, visitors can also go ziplining over the grounds, take a 30-minute miniature train ride around the property or book one of several animal encounters, like the zoo’s popular Rhinoceros Encounter where guests can learn more about its greater one-horned rhinoceros, PJ.
Meet, touch and enjoy photo opportunities with a greater one-horned rhinoceros when you book the zoo’s Rhinoceros Encounter
Have a roaring good time at Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
The zoo also hosts events year round for young ones looking to learn more. The engaging “Storytime at the Zoo!” features live demonstrations from animal ambassadors accompanying stories told by Orange County Library System storytellers. The zoo even occasionally hosts events at night, like their popular Night Hike at the Zoo!

On the southern end of St. Pete Beach, enjoy a casual vibe on pristine Pass-a-Grille beach, where an affordable array of cozy B&Bs and cottages, such as the 11-room Coconut Inn Pass-a-Grille, await you. At sunset time, grab a frosty beverage top deck at the iconic Hurricane Seafood Restaurant and gasp at amazing views.
Inland a few miles from St. Pete Beach is Fort DeSoto, a county-run 1100-acre park with miles of nature trails, shaded picnic areas, historic fort remnants and dock fishing. The pristine beach is rarely crowded and a great place to comb for shells or sand dollars.
Between St. Pete Beach and Clearwater, intimate resort towns including Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Indian Shores and Redington Shores offer condo rentals, independent hotels, beachy bars, seafood restaurants, parks and beautiful stretches of beach, all with an easygoing ambience. If you want the quieter side of Clearwater Beach, make a stop at Sand Key Park, winner of the destination’s 2024 Reader Poll for best beach. It also features birdwatching trails, a playground, outdoor showers and covered picnic pavilions.
Clearwater Beach consistently ranks among the top U.S. beaches. Expect beautiful beachfront properties, an actionpacked marina and fabulous seafood restaurants. While there, hop the 20-minute ferry to Caladesi Island State Park. Tote in a picnic lunch or buy casual fare at the snack shop, then stroll the boardwalk through thick mangroves to a wide, idyllic beach. You may never want to leave, but don’t forget to hop the last ferry back to the mainland. visitstpeteclearwater.com

For more than 50 years, Clearwater Marine Aquarium has given injured marine animals a second chance at life.
Every day, Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s staff of biologists monitor for injured marine animals in the wild to bring them to the aquarium for care. Visitors can see a number of animals currently undergoing rehabilitation in the aquarium’s working animal hospital and new Manatee Rehabilitation Center, as well as more than 1,400 non-releasable animals. Marine life that permanently resides at the aquarium includes an octopus, three Atlantic bottlenose dolphins — including Hope, one of the stars of “Dolphin Tale 2”— and two deaf rough-toothed dolphins, with Clearwater Marine Aquarium being one of only two facilities in the U.S. that’s home to rough-toothed dolphins.
“With our current resident animals and upcoming new habitats, we ensure that future generations can continue to benefit from the wonders of marine
conservation,” said Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s CEO, Joe Handy. “Through our leadership in conservation, we will inspire others to join us in safeguarding our precious oceans for generations to come.”
Guests can learn more about the animals by attending educational presentations throughout the day at various habitats and exhibits or booking a hands-on animal care experience, like the 30-minute Shark Care Experience where guests can feed the aquarium’s resident nurse shark. Eco-boat tours are also available that take passengers out into Clearwater Bay to learn more about the local wildlife.
On select evenings through Feb. 2, 2025, visitors can experience Clearwater Marine Aquarium after hours during its new seasonal event, Aqua Lanterns: A Chinese Festival of Lights. The separately ticketed event invites guests to enjoy underwater views of the aquarium’s rescued animals and explore a number of marine life habitats at night while admiring more than 30 marinethemed lanterns illuminated throughout the venue. It’s truly an enlightening experience! cmaquarium.org

Come thirsty when your next beach getaway leads you to Florida’s West Coast. Over the past few years, an eclectic mix of trendy brewpubs and breweries has emerged in the St. Pete/Clearwater area, earning the region the clever nickname, “the Gulp Coast.”
There’s a dynamic new vibe in downtown St. Petersburg, thanks in part to its thriving beer scene. A cluster of breweries, brewpubs and distilleries have made this waterfront city into a hotspot known for its unique craft beers and live entertainment.
The Green Bench Brewing Co, named after St. Pete’s iconic green benches, holds claim as the city’s first microbrewery. Their tasting room satisfies customers with unique draft beers, mead and cider offerings, including the tropics-inspired Sunshine City IPA.
In the Grand Central District is dogfriendly Pinellas Ale Works, home to the Puppy Breath IPA, and the award-winning two-story Grand Central Brewhouse, known for lagers, ales and more. Nearby in the Warehouse District, St. Petersburg Distillery offers tours and tastings of their award-winning spirits.
Most coastal towns from St. Pete Beach up to Clearwater have at least one stand-out
brewery, and on Clearwater Beach, it’s 3 Daughters Brewing. In their lofty thirdfloor tasting room they serve flavorful taps brewed on-site such as Beach Blonde Ale, Key Lime Cider and Vanilla Cream Ale. This brewpub also has a location at St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport, so stop there before you fly out to enjoy casual eats and signature brews.
Just north of Clearwater Beach in picturesque Dunedin, a number of trendy downtown brewpubs are within walking distance of each other. Soggy Bottom Brewing Co. pours IPA’s, ales and Kolsch that pair well with their tasty signature pizzas.
Check out the award-winning Dunedin Brewery, Florida’s oldest distributing microbrewery still in operation, and aim for Wednesday Night Open Jam or weekend band time. Try the two-fisted Smashburger from their pub menu and wash it down with a refreshing Beach Tale Brown Ale.
At small-batch Caledonia Brewing, choose inside or outside seating, order a charcuterie and cheese tray and go for a bold choice from the unique flavors of beers, ciders, IPAs and ales. Care to try the Udderly Delish Milk Stout?
Inland in Safety Harbor, father-son owned Troubled Waters Brewing serves up IPAs, sours and ales in a casual downtown setting. Their Imperial Stout is always a hit, as are their 32 oz growlers. visitstpeteclearwater.com/gulp-coast-craftbeer-trail
St. Petersburg has morphed in recent years from a sleepy coastal city to a thriving metropolis, due in large part to an influx of abundant cultural offerings and a vibrant downtown. Locals and tourists flock to the scenic waterfront, iconic St. Petersburg Pier and the many mural-sided buildings. The great food, drinks and live entertainment make this charming city a must-go destination.
The city’s year-round temperate climate makes it a natural for al fresco dining, and covered patios, streetside tables, cozy courtyards and rooftop seating offer many satisfying dining experiences you won’t soon forget.
By Nancy Foster
American Coastal cuisine, locally-sourced ingredients and an inventive menu are highlights at this much-loved eatery. Juno & The Peacock is a great place to peoplewatch as you dine streetside. Select from delectable menu choices including Wagyu beef carpaccio, cioppino and gluten-free grilled veal chop. Open daily for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. junoandthepeacock.com
Outside dining is a must at Baba on Central, a trendy eatery where the chef de cuisine offers up an amazing Lebanese and Greekinfluenced menu that tantalizes from start to finish. Start with the house-made tzatziki spread served with warm pita bread, olives and crudites, then choose from an assortment of freshly-made souvlakis, shish kebabs or charred octopus. If your party is large, their in-demand and very delicious family-style meal is one menu item worth considering. eatatbaba.com
Sit outside and let the St.Pete Pier and Tampa Bay waterfront be your backdrop as you enjoy what Tripadvisor rates as the top restaurant in America for everyday eats. The amazing seafood dishes at Doc Ford’s include Banana Leaf Grouper and Yucatan Shrimp, and if you’re ravenous, order Doc’s famous paella. For dessert, the refreshing Key Lime Colada pairs well with a decadent slice of Drunken Parrot Carrot Cake. docfords.com/st-pete-pier

Boasting one of Key West’s best beaches for picnicking, swimming, snorkeling, paddling and fishing, Fort Zachary Taylor Historic Park is also one of the only parks in Florida that allows guests to explore a historic fort.

Disasters — whether they’re hurricanes, wildfires or earthquakes — demand swift action. That’s why Allegiant prioritizes partnerships with nonprofit organizations such as the American Red Cross and Airlink.
During times of crisis, such as hurricanes Helene and Milton, these partnerships become a network that strengthens the company’s community support capabilities.
After the devastating effects of those two hurricanes, Allegiant donated $25,000 in Allways Rewards® points to Airlink, a humanitarian organization that provides airlift support during crisis. Through this partnership, we enable Airlink to fly in trained specialists to assess damage, restore homes and businesses and provide vital relief to disaster-affected communities.
Our focus on disaster relief reflects the company’s commitment to enabling community safety, preparedness and recovery, a core pillar of our corporate philanthropy. It’s about being there when it matters most.
Whether it’s assisting in evacuations for our team members or donating flights, every flight
we conduct for disaster relief has a purpose rooted in compassion and care.
Allegiant recently entered into a partnership with Airlink which will provide critical airlift of personnel and supplies. To learn more about how you can support Airlink’s disaster relief efforts, visit donorbox.org/allegianthurricanes-2024.

Allegiant team members recognize acts of service
Customer Service Week, typically celebrated in the first full week of October, is a time dedicated to recognizing and honoring the invaluable contributions of our team members as they assist and support our customers. While we strive to deliver safe, affordable and reliable service year-round, Customer Service Week serves as a reminder of the critical role that service plays in the success in building relationships with our customers, our partners and fellow Allegiant team members.
For 2024 Customer Service Week, we wanted to empower our team members to recognize each other’s customer service contributions across our network. Through our recognition platform, they sent each other custom badges to honor and appreciate one another’s demonstration of our service standards. Here are a few examples:
Dawn, Station Agent (HGR)
“The teamwork you give is impeccable! When you see a customer that needs to buy a ticket or a passenger that just needs a little extra time and patience, you offer your assistance immediately. I am so grateful to be on a team with you.”
Ivy, Flight Attendant (SFB)
“Ivy was absolutely spectacular! Several passengers were a little nervous about flying, but she made everyone comfortable and had people smiling and laughing the whole trip. She is amazing! Thank you for being so great. I appreciate you and your dedication to our passengers.”
Sal, Customer Care Coordinator (HQ)
“I wanted to recognize Sal’s hard work and dedication. He is crucial to Customer Care’s
operation, and his positive demeanor is contagious. He demonstrates all of Allegiant’s core values and is always happy to extend a hand when needed. It is truly an honor to work beside him. Thank you for everything you do and for your optimistic attitude.”
Jeff – Senior Tech (LAS)
“Jeff needs to be recognized as a valuable team member and mechanic. Jeff ensures all his work is completed and properly documented on each task. He also stays over to give a thorough turnover to oncoming shift techs, regardless of his personal plans. Jeff is always ready to help out to ensure planes are safe and ready for an on-time departure. You are appreciated.”
These are just a few examples of times our team members have contributed to our customers’ experiences. Ultimately, Customer Service Week is a celebration of connection — between Allegiant team members, customers and the values that drive our passion for travel.
