Bugatti has been blowing away the competition—make that the entire world—since first introducing its incredibly powerful quad-turbocharged, W16 engine for the debut of the Veyron in 2005. Essentially the equivalent of two V8 engines bolted together, it gave the new Veyron 1,001 hp, while subsequent iterations surpassed that number and then some. Now Bugatti is bidding farewell to the W16 with the Mistral, designed in homage to the marque’s famed Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid from 1934. Touted as the fastest roadster in the world, only 99 examples are being built at a price of about $5 million each, with all units already spoken for at the time of its announcement. The very last Bugatti to be equipped with the W16, the Mistral can claim output of 1,578 hp, expected to blast it past 260 mph. "I wanted the roadster to exude elegance and to have longevity amongst our clients’ collections,” as Bugatti design director Achim Anscheid explained to Top Gear. “People will be acutely aware that this is the last of its kind, that it’s something very significant.”

“We do not deploy the V-Series designation lightly.” Global Cadillac Vice President Rory Harvey is explaining the gravitas of the storied brand’s new Escalade-V, which has burst onto the scene as the most powerful full-size SUV in the world, with an eye-popping, pulse-racing 682 horsepower—more than the Lamborghini Urus (650), AMG G63 (577), and Bentley Bentayga Speed (626). “Customers and enthusiasts have asked for an Escalade-V, and we’re thrilled to bring this high-performance SUV to market in the year of Cadillac’s 120th anniversary,” Harvey enthuses. “The arrival of the 2023 Escalade-V is the result of a rigorous development program that allows this highly anticipated model to meet the criteria and capability thresholds established by nearly two decades of inspired V-Series performance.” This is of course Cadillac’s first-ever V-Series SUV, and with a base price just shy of $150,000 they're well and truly throwing down the gauntlet— as well they might with a vehicle they’re calling “an elevation of design, performance and technology and the purest expression of the passion that exists at the core of Cadillac,” and a “potent blend of refinement, power, and technology.”
Key engineering and performance elements include a 10-speed automatic transmission, a full-time active all-wheel-drive system, and exclusive suspension hardware and software calibrations. "With a power-to-weight ratio among the top in its class and advanced driving technologies to put that power to the pavement, the Escalade-V offers an engaging and energetic driving experience like no other full-size luxury SUV,” as Jaclyn McQuaid, Cadillac’s executive chief engineer for full-size trucks puts it. The roar of the supercharged, hand-built 6.2-liter V-8 engine via quad exhausts will alert all bystanders that this is not your grandfather’s Caddy, while the slightly more aggressive styling including supercar-style red brake calipers and 22-inch wheels is a visual giveaway. With a 0 to 60 mph sprint of just 4.3 seconds, most of those bystanders will be in your rearview mirror, probably wondering what the hell just hurtled past.
When Maserati debuted its brand new MC20 supercar a couple of years back, it was only a matter of time before a spyder version made its way into the iconic Italian marque’s lineup. No mere convertible, the MC20 Cielo can be decoded thusly: MC stands for Maserati Corse (“racing”); 20 refers to 2020, the year that "began the brand’s new era”; while Cielo (“sky”) highlights the “fact that it is a model devoted to driving pleasure in the great outdoors, while maintaining all the prerogatives of a true super sports car.” One hundred percent made in Italy, the MC20 Cielo was developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena and produced at its historic factory nearby. Equipped with a folding glass roof that can be toggled between dark and clear settings and deploys in just 12 seconds, the beautifully-styled spyder kicks out 621 hp and can hit 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph. And it’s powered by the brand's twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 engine, giving it that classic Maserati Italian accent we know and love.
Maserati MC20 CieloThe revolution is surely coming with the Mercedes-AMG EQS, MercedesBenz’s first fully-electric AMG model and one of the most technologically advanced vehicles of its kind. With optional Boost mode—we think Beast mode would be just as appropriate—the car kicks out 751 hp, which fires it from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds. And it's worth remembering that this electrified rocket ship is essentially the S-Class of the future—with all that entails since Benz set the world standard for luxury sedans with the original. With a starting sticker of about $148,500, it is priced above competitors from the likes of Tesla, Porsche and Lucid, but again Benz goes above and beyond with what it offers to customers, who aren’t likely to balk at paying a premium for S-Class-worthy appointments and a list of personalization options that those other marques can only dream about. With its massive dashboard “hyperscreen” among other luxe tech features that Car and Driver called “mesmerizing,” this car truly redefines that tired old phrase “state-of-the-art.”
When the first-ever Maybach-badged SUV, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, was initially announced, it was a true game-changer for the world of supersized ultra luxury vehicles. The Maybach name is one of the most hallowed and resonant in the automotive world; with origins dating back to 1909, the marque is a full decade older than Bentley and is nearly as historic as Rolls-Royce. In 2014 Daimler incorporated Maybach into Mercedes-Benz with the launch of the first Mercedes-Maybach S-Class; the streamlining move equated Maybach with the ultimate in sophisticated luxury for Mercedes cars just as AMG represents the ultimate in performance. The exclusive Maybach finishes and interior trim are a sort of secret handshake for those in the know; the top-drawer GLS 600 doesn’t so much scream for attention as announce itself with subtle elegance. With a whopping 550 hp from its 4.0L V8 biturbo with mild hybrid drive and a starting price of about $170,000, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has few rivals in its class—indeed, as Mercedes says, it’s in a “class of one.”

Maserati enthusiasts know how to spot the marque’s much-coveted, racinginspired Trofeo versions by their special badges and design cues, not to mention the extra roar issuing from the specially-tuned exhaust. And the brand doesn’t just limit Trofeo trim to its sports models, allowing clients the option of adding it to its SUVs as well. On the Levante, its flagship midsize crossover, opting for the Trofeo package—the name means trophy, as in racing trophy—delivers an incomparable combo of luxury and performance. In Trofeo trim, Maserati’s largest vehicle gets fangs to match its bespoke Italian suit, making it something of a stealth fighter, as sports car drivers might not be expecting it to burn up the road quite so ferociously. It’s numbers are impressive: the Levante Trofeo’s 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 delivers 572 hp, boosting it from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 187 mph. And further pushing the button on Maserati‘s Fuoriserie customization program allows you to create a truly one-of-a-kind car.
Maserati has pulled the covers back on its long-awaited next-generation GranTurismo, and the marque’s flagship 2+2 grand tourer looks set to usher in a new era in style. Fitted with the MC20 supercar's much-lauded twin-turbo V6, the new GranTurismo lineup will also include Maserati’s first-ever electric car, called the GranTurismo Folgore, making this truly a landmark moment. The GranTurismo will initially available in Modena and Trofeo trims, the former good for 490 hp, while the Trofeo moves up to 550 hp. The Modena will be able to nail 62 mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 188 mph, while the Trofeo can get there in just 3.5 seconds and blast up to 199 mph. The GT, whose design draws on both the MC20 and the new Grecale compact SUV, is expected to be more of a daily driver for Maserati, and it no doubt hopes sales will follow suit. And the Folgore EV, which shows they’re more than ready for the postcombustion-engine era, is sure to be a Tesla-killer.
With an asphalt-crushing 653 hp, the all-new BMW XM, the iconic marque’s first standalone M model since the legendary M1 from 1978, is a fitting continuation of BMW M’s 50th-anniversary celebrations. A supercar dressed in SUV clothing, the XM is also the M division’s first-ever high-performance car with a plug-in hybrid drive system, consisting of a V8 combustion engine with cutting-edge M TwinPower Turbo technology mated to an “exceptionally powerful" electric motor. The potent combo blasts the XM from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds.
The mighty M division is of course well known for the incredible M3 and M5, among other vehicles, and while the XM does share a wheelbase with the X7, this is a really clean sheet design rather than a tweaked version of one of the Bavarian brand’s already extant models. Every single part is new, and there are numerous firsts for BMW, including optional 23” wheels, the first time the factory has ever produced them. You’ll also find hexagonal dual tailpipes, arranged hexagonally one above the other for the first time on a BMW M model. The XM also sports its own version of BMW’s aggressive new kidney-shaped grille, which comes into its own in this larger vehicle.
As BMW XM Project Manager Sven Ritter told BMW Blog, the XM—which was dubbed “Project Rockstar” in its development phase—is a car “For those who want to show and enjoy what they have achieved…. It’s a kind of unicorn car, and therefore everything needs to be a bit more special.”
One of the coolest features of the XM is the optional vintage-vibe leather upholstery for the interior, which has a slightly distressed look. Added to carbon fiber trim, and a seriously cool 3D sculptural headliner that resembles a laser light show, and you can see why this is one of BMW’s most expensive cars ever, with a starting price of $159,000. Expect to pay a premium over that for the upcoming, limited-edition XM Label Red model, which with 750 hp——even more horsepower than the Ferrari Purosangue—makes it the most powerful road-legal production car in BMW’s history.
Porsche’s latest headline-grabbing electric model isn’t a car or an SUV—it’s a bike (two bikes, actually). But like anything bearing the iconic Porsche emblem, they’re above and beyond. The Porsche eBike Cross ($9,500) and the Porsche eBike Sport ($11,750) are bound to sell out as quickly as one of the famed German marque’s limited-edition supercars. In fact, the bikes’ carbon fiber frames are inspired by the Porsche Taycan. The Sport is designed for the street while the Cross brings more unpaved-road capability, comparable to one of Porsche’s SUVs in bike form. Both are powered by Shimano EP-8 motors mated with 630 Wh (Sport) or 504 Wh (Cross) batteries, which provide smooth, powerful acceleration, and come equipped with new four-piston brake calipers in the Sport, for when you need to slow down. The bikes are being developed in collaboration with German cycle frame builder Rotwild, with whom Porsche has paired on automotive projects in the past, and they’re designed by Studio F.A. Porsche to “convey the feeling and fascination of Porsche on two wheels.”

Making scaled down versions of the world’s greatest and most collectible classic cars to the same standard as the originals is an idea so deceptively simple, it’s a wonder no-one ever thought of it before Ben Hedley. In 2018 the UK-based founder of The Little Car Company hit upon the idea of partnering with the actual vehicle manufacturers to produce the drivable, downsized electric vehicles that are collectibles in their own right, and built entirely by hand at a former World War II Royal Air Force base. His company’s creations include the Aston Martin DB5 Junior, Ferrari Testa Rossa J, and Bugatti Baby II, all of which are made in strictly limited editions. The Bugatti Baby II is a 75% scale, fully-electric reincarnation of the iconic Bugatti Type 35, developed using a full 3D scan of an original 1924 French Grand Prix race car. Whether you wish to enhance an existing car collection, or simply want to own a unique piece of automotive history, there’s a place on their waiting list for you.
If tabletop-size collectables are more your thing, look no further than the Amalgam Collection, world's finest maker of museum-quality model cars. The UK-based firm's master craftsmen create limited edition scale models in truly painstaking detail, so much so that they have become quite highly prized. Some of Amalgam’s most coveted creations are limited to just a handful of examples, and include perfect replicas of the weathering and patina acquired by the real-life cars in the course of campaigning on roads and race tracks. Archival images of the car being raced are used to ensure each completed model is a flawless representation of the real car. Amalgam’s latest race weathered masterpiece is a 1:18 version of one of the most iconic race cars ever built, the Le Mans-winning 1971 Porsche 917 KH in Martini Racing livery. There’s also a larger 1:8 scale version which took Amalgam thousands of hours to complete and costs around $23,000. “Our models are so finely detailed that they’re hard to tell from actual cars in photographs,” notes Amalgam’s Sandy Copeman.
As part of its ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations, premium tequila maker Clase Azul México has opened the doors of Clase Azul Los Cabos, an expansive luxury destination that includes a boutique, a restaurant, a bar, an omakase experience, and more. Located in San José del Cabo, Clase Azul Los Cabos invites guests to partake in the most authentic expression of the brand.
Inspired by the company’s mission to diversify its offerings and increase global exposure to Mexican culture, the experience marries land and ocean, and incorporates natural surroundings for a welcoming, contemporary space.
says Arturo Lomelí, founder of Clase Azul México.
“We exist to captivate the world through the magic of Mexican culture, and our distillates are just the beginning,” “We want to create spaces where our brand comes to life.”
Tequila maven Clase Azul’s exquisite artisanship and distillates have inspired a unique hospitality offering that brings the brand to life through extraordinary experiences.
At Clase Azul Los Cabos you’ll find Clase Azul La Terraza — a fine dining experience expertly curated by Clase Azul México’s in-house creative chef, Iván Arias. La Terraza serves up dishes born from his gastronomical journey through La Baja, and all ingredients are sourced regionally, forming a network with local producers to promote practices like sustainable business and fair trade.
Also within the space you’ll find El Bar. Enjoying tequila and mezcal neat is the preferred sipping ritual for Clase Azul, but at El Bar, best-in-class mixologists offer guests an adventure through mixology and exquisite cocktails. Inspired by delicacies unique to the region of La Baja, these artful cocktails are a delightful exploration of Clase Azul icons.
Omakase at Clase Azul Los Cabos is a fusion cuisine experience not to be missed. Born out of love for diverse culinary influences that create the singular gastronomic expression of La Baja, here a collective reinterprets the exquisite dishes of the region through unique flavors from Mexico. Inspired by omakase — a custom of Japanese origin in which guests put themselves in the chef’s hands by allowing the chef to choose what will be served — this experience invites guests to enjoy a deliciously bespoke chef’s menu that consists of 14 courses.
While all of this is truly outstanding, perhaps the best part of the experience is “A Taste of Culture.” This byreservation-only multisensory tasting takes guests on a journey of Clase Azul’s tequilas and mezcals, allowing them to connect intimately with the flavors and culture of Mexico. During the theatrically inspired experience, guests taste five Clase Azul icons along with pairings specially prepared to enhance the tasting notes of each spirit. With only eight spots per seating, “A Taste of Culture” ensures an intimate and interactive experience. Once your dining and co my Aik experience at Clase Azul Los Cabos is complete, be sure to check out the boutique, where guests have the opportunity to acquire the brand’s icons as well as rare limited editions not available elsewhere.
Owner Lomelí’s dedication to Mexican culture has made Clase Azul one of the top leaders in the spirits and luxury categories, with the coveted liquid now sold worldwide in more than 50 countries. And with all this going on, we can’t help but wonder…what’s next?
A thirst for life will take you far. In the case of chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa, a love of quality experiences enjoyed among friends has nurtured a seemingly bottomless creative momentum. Extending beyond his lauded hotels, restaurants, and even specially brewed sake, his entrepreneurial vigor and enthusiasm for shared good times inspired him to develop his own Champagne.
Not to be missed on your next visit, this exceptional namesake Champagne is exclusive to Nobu hotels and restaurants. It pairs perfectly with many crisp classics on menus featured in Nobu restaurants regionally — of course, it’s an elegant complement to seafood. Naturally, we recommend enjoying it with caviar or oysters. (Or both.)
Originating in Verzy, in the historic Champagne region of northeastern France, Nobu Champagne Brut Grand Cru was developed in collaboration with heritage Champagne producer Louis de Sacy, a family-owned estate that has run its vineyards for 13 generations, since 1633. The family’s passion for tending its vines and their respect for the land have made them dedicated to environmentally sustainable practices, including agroforestry. These principles and practices have elevated them above other producers, earning them the French agricultural certifications of HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale or High Environmental Value) and VDC (Viticulture Durable en Champagne, or Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne). Verzy, which rose from premier cru to grand cru status in 1985, is known for its vineyards on north-facing slopes, which create a particularly nuanced variety of Champagne.
Whether you’re celebrating a personal occasion, raising a glass with colleagues, or simply enjoying the uncomplicated pleasures of life, you’ll find Nobu Champagne to be effervescent in every sense. Both unique and approachable, it imparts a spirit of festivity in each sip. After all, isn’t every moment spent at a Nobu property a special occasion? Pop a cork and toast to the good life on your next visit.

Entrepreneur and hotelier Carlo Acampora is not your typical hotel owner. He is a man with unyielding values, someone who embraces every project with passion and determination; and the new Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Roma was no exception. After years forging a connection — and, later, friendship — with the Nobu team, the perfect opportunity to collaborate arose: on Rome’s first-ever Nobu Hotel.
“I am never drawn to the companies I work with or develop partnership projects with; I am drawn to the people,” says Acampora when I ask him about his decision to work with Nobu, explaining how his personal values aligned with the Nobu team. “I reached where I am today by always following the same rules and values: One must concretely love what he does; one must never stop studying or being curious; quality and attention to detail must be the fundamental elements in every business; and customer service must remain at the core of every project, without compromise.” For Acampora, the most important part of a business partnership is the people behind it, and he credits the Nobu team for the friendship that made this project happen. “[Nobu is special] because of who my partners are and because of who the extraordinary managers are; I am lucky enough to work with them every day. The Nobu company is, and will remain, special because of the people who created it and are keeping it at the top. Just as it has been and will be for what is now the Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Roma.”
This will be the brand’s first luxury lifestyle hotel in Rome, and Acampora has spent countless hours ensuring that the property exceeds every expectation. Drawn to new challenges and unique opportunities, for him this was the perfect fit. “The fact that it will be the first Nobu Hotel to open in Italy is what attracted me the most about this project, to be honest. That’s what attracts me the most in any endeavor — to accomplish something that has never been accomplished before. I like challenges; they are pure adrenaline for me.” Bringing the unique perspective of a Rome native, Acampora plans to honor its traditions and history while bringing a first-of-its-kind property to the city. “As a Roman, I know what my fellow citizens expect. I have no doubt that Nobu Roma will become the ‘home’ of many of them. For me, the responsibility is double: towards Nobu and towards my city.”
With an easygoing outlook and unquestionable charm, Acampora seems to relish every new project he tackles. Waking up at 5:30 each morning, he explains that his workdays are anything but typical. Constantly traveling from continent to continent, Acampora has an admirable dedication to “on the ground” work that is influenced by his appreciation for personal connection, whether that be with the team or the customers. “[My favorite aspect is] without a doubt exploring the world. Discovering places that people don’t even know the name of or the existence of. Getting to know people of different ethnicity, religion, culture, and history. Anything that is challenging, complicated, and seemingly impossible to accomplish makes my work beautiful in every way. I make no secret of the fact that I would like to open a small Nobu in Vatican City, as well,” he says, laughing. “Who knows if the Pope will give me his blessing?”
When he’s not jetting off to a new city, Acampora spends his time with family, dedicating every free moment to his two children, Alessandro and Matteo. With philanthropic pursuits towards the fight against breast cancer at Komen Italia (Race for the cure) and the one founded by him — DJs for the Cure — this altruistic entrepreneur has certainly been busy.
Carlo Acampora is determined, creative, and unwaveringly true to himself. Balancing passionate ambition with careful consideration of every detail, he is the kind of guy who guarantees perfection in everything he tackles. Holding friendship and shared values of the highest importance, he embodies everything Nobu stands for — and is a truly special addition to our team.
Nobu Hotels celebrates Carlo Acampora, owner of Nobu Hotel RomA, opening 2023. Words by Emma Ungaro Photography by Daniel D'OttavioAs a watch collector, I often find myself pairing up different timepieces with my outfits, for events I’m attending, or — most importantly — to go with the seasons and activities. Certain timepieces are often better suited for specific endeavors such as swimming or boating, while others are more appropriate for dinners or occasions that call for a dressier look. With so many brands making up the watch industry, we have a plethora of options — sometimes almost overwhelming — but fear not, because we’re here to help by sharing a few of our favorites.
Pair these luxury timepieces with your favorite vacation activities.

IWC released some incredibly fun colored ceramic timepieces this year, including “Mojave” and a phosphorus white “Lake Tahoe,” but my personal favorite is, without a doubt, this green ceramic Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition “Woodland.” It has a 44.5mm case that’s a wonderful shade of matte military-like green ceramic, with a matching rubber strap. This would be my go-to choice for a winter excursion: skiing down Northstar, or enjoying a glass of The Macallan 78 and a Cohiba while overlooking the lake.overlooking the lake.
The perfect all-year watch from summer to winter and back, Rolex is always a sound choice for any scenario life throws at you. This newest addition to the 40mm lineup is no exception, with a platinum case, platinum fluted bezel, ice-blue dial, and platinum President bracelet — it is seriously a heavy hitter. A Day-Date is one of those timepieces perfectly at home when you’re in boardroom meetings, courtside at the finals, or watching the snow fall while enjoying a glass of Yamazaki 25 at the lodge. I’ve always loved the Rolex Day-Date family; my grandfather proudly wore his for decades, so this new platinum piece is a welcoming sight and a very exciting timepiece.
Is it even possible to think about and/or discuss elegant timepieces without mentioning Patek Philippe? From the brand that made being a timepiece’s custodian for the next generation something of a realized sentiment, we just had to include this very regal and all-new addition to its Complications family: the 5205R-011 Annual Calendar. Strapping it ever so gracefully onto the wrist, its wearer is instantly infatuated with the warm tones of the 18K rose gold 40mm case, only to have their eyes drawn to that gorgeous olivegreen sunburst dial. Anything from Patek Philippe is pretty much a perfect timepiece for any time of the year, but something about this specific one gives me whale watching in the Monterey Bay vibes, sitting aft on a classic 1930s motor yacht (like the Marie) wearing a cozy cable-knit sweater, enjoying a gin and tonic, while seeing the family enjoy the crisp California sea.
Seaside excursions are better with this incredible sports watch from an amazing independent brand you should know about: Romain Gauthier. Producing only around 60 timepieces per year, this (new for 2022) Heritage C fits perfectly into the brand’s lineup. Cased in 41mm of illustrious platinum, with beautiful, almost sensual curves, this timepiece’s every angle begs for your attention. Flipping it over, you’re greeted by a sapphire caseback enabling the user to visibly enjoy the 18K white gold movement that has been meticulously finished by hand. In a world where attention to detail is critical, Romain Gauthier sets himself apart by always going the extra mile in the execution of his timepieces, delivering some of the most impressive levels of finishing found within the industry. Ready for all summer activities, from sailing off the coast of Catalina to cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway in a beautiful Silverlake Bentley Continental GT with the top down, the Heritage C makes for a regal companion.
Incredibly light and ridiculously fast, the F.P. Journe Linesport Centigraphe Sport is more than ready to tag along on hot summer track days at Laguna Seca. This super sporty timepiece comes cased in 44mm of titanium, with a featherlight titanium bracelet and a brilliantly explosive yellow dial that reminds me of somewhere between Porsche’s “Speed Yellow” and Lamborghini’s “Giallo Auge.” To help keep the timepiece superlight, the manual-wound Calibre 1506 movement powering this 1/100th of a second chronograph is constructed from aluminum.

Chic, modern, and decorated in opulent furnishings, Nobu Hotel Barcelona is truly a sight to behold. As cofounders of the luxury group THE FINDGROUP, representing assets such as yachts, luxury real estate, jets, and luxury armored vehicles, Edward Rodriguez and Joel Romero can properly appreciate this luxurious property, and it has quickly become their go-to favorite for themselves and clients. Nobu Hotel Barcelona uniquely maintains a meticulous devotion to the ambiance of an urban sanctuary, with panoramic views to immerse guests in the lively atmosphere of the city. As a leading real estate advisor, Rodriguez prefers the Umi Suite for his guests. A breathtaking display of interior design, this selection maintains floor-to-ceiling windows, a pristine marble bathroom with a rainfall shower and soaking tub, and stunning polished wooden detailing throughout. As a yacht expert, Romero chooses the Nobu Suite on the 22nd floor. Showcasing panoramic views of the city and natural lighting, this 1,600-sq.-ft. accommodation emulates the ambiance of a superyacht, with luxury amenities and ample space to socialize and entertain. For meals, Rodriguez and Romero choose the prime tenderloin and the sea bass with shimeji mushrooms.
Rodriguez and Romero understand the importance of superb client relationships. Unlike nearly any other luxury asset brokerage in the industry, THE FINDGROUP fulfills client requests for four major interests, all under one group. Their impressive success in the luxury lifestyle sector can be attributed to their extensive knowledge of each asset, their global network of personal connections, and their affinity for affluence. With decades of experience accrued between the two of them, Rodriguez and Romero are experts in client confidentiality, offthe-market listings, true-to-value closings, and negotiations. No matter the request, they utilize long-standing relationships with manufacturers, consultants, marketing firms, attorneys, specialists, and luxury designers to ensure each client’s satisfaction. For THE FINDGROUP, business is best done at the Nobu Hotel Barcelona.
Nobu Hotel Las Vegas was designed with a unique, contemporary, and artistic ambiance and an unusually dark color palette. Directly on the Vegas Strip, this fabulous accommodation offers guests full access to the resplendent perks of the Nobu brand in addition to the amenities of Caesars Palace. CEO and founder of Genesis10, Harley Lippman is a respected business executive who serves as a member of the United States Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad for the White House. For his stay, he selects the Sake Suite, which is playful, energetic, and saturated in luxury furnishings, state-of-the art entertainment systems, a game room, and even a bar area for maximum enjoyment. Whether guests choose to hit the casino, attend an event, or relax in the rejuvenating spa and salon, there is nothing that this location doesn’t offer.
Lippman is also an avid enthusiast of Nobu 57 in New York. This location is chic, lively, and only a few blocks away from Central Park, making it the perfect place to meet in person. Lippman’s consistent dish of choice is the Chilean sea bass with Myoga cilantro.
His company, Genesis10, is now regarded as one of the most impressive staffing agencies in the United States, with more than 2,000 employees and targeted opportunity programs such as Dev10. Dev10 sponsors the education of young adults in coding and places them within the industry. The only program of its kind to accept candidates outside of computer science backgrounds, Dev10 has a 5% acceptance rate and ensures that the workforce is met with only premium Genesis10 talent.
Outside of business, Lippman is a savant of international relations and a leader in critical thinking. He serves as a political analyst and media consultant, helping civilian communities find common ground worldwide, including in Israel and Pakistan. While Lippman doesn’t have the stereotypical background in international affairs, he meets with leaders across the globe — including the Pope, the president of Egypt, and the president of Turkey. He serves on boards at Yale University and Columbia University, has provided 30 young adults with financial support through college completion, and has run an orphanage in Cambodia for around 20 years. When asked what he does, Lippman replies that he makes the world a better place — while having fun at the same time. So naturally, for his top pick, there is no better choice than Nobu Hotel Las Vegas.

Spotlighted in Forbes, Times Square Chronicle, and Hollywood Today!, Slowinski embraces the true meaning of quality craftsmanship, having apprenticed with the finest jewelry designers in Poland and the U.S. However, the extent of Slowinski’s artistic mastery is not limited to diamond cuts. Beachfront, abundantly warm, and saturated in tasteful temptations, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is the perfect place for the founder, CEO, and chairman of Ault and Company, Inc. — Milton “Todd” Ault III, an expert in the art of interpersonal communication and business financing. Surrounded by stunning turquoise waters, this resort spotlights infinity pools, a pristine relaxation spa, and an extensive line of private cabanas. Ault prefers to stay in the Nobu Suite. Unlike any other hotel in the area, this presidential accommodation features a massive stone fireplace, an open chef’s kitchen, a game area, and even breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows that open to a private wraparound terrace. This lavish suite also showcases a uniquely designed outdoor tub with unequivocal views of beachside Mexico and offers the choice of a one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom layout. During his stay in Mexico, Ault dines on Nobu classics such as rock shrimp tempura and fresh sushi.
Ault started from humble beginnings, inspired by Warren Buffett and their personal exchanges when Ault was only 11 years old. Now an expert in venture capital and private equity, he specializes in helping small companies of less than $100 million grow in both size and success. The extensive portfolio of Ault and Company, Inc. maintains more than $600 million in assets and extends into numerous industries, including defense, hospitality, medicine, real estate, lab-grown diamonds, textiles, and even Bitcoin. Under Ault’s guidance, Ault and Company is a massive shareholder of Alzimend, a company producing the first active Alzheimer’s vaccine approved by the FDA to be tested on human beings — set for release in early 2023. With projects this groundbreaking, Ault emphasizes the vital importance of meeting clients, investors, and board members in person — and it’s no wonder why Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is his top choice for his time off.

Beata Drzazga — a one-of-a-kind Polish entrepreneur and philanthropist dedicated to improving the well-being of people across the globe and founder of BetaMed S.A., a successful series of Polish hospitals focused on providing patients with premium care — is no stranger to international travel and the luxury lifestyle. From an aerial view, her success resembles an empire, built upon her unparalleled medical expertise and her drive as an entrepreneur. Her business even extends into fashion through her Dono Da Scheggia fashion stores. But beyond business, Drzazga focuses on impacting her community. She promotes compassion, respect for employees, and the best care for patients. Taking a hands-on approach, her company works hard to supply Ukrainian relief and aid, especially to hospitals. Drzazga’s ideal retreat to leisure rests in her home country, probably in a warm bath, at Nobu Hotel Warsaw.
Naturally, there is no better place for her at Nobu Hotel Warsaw than the Nobu Suite. This one-of-akind, state-of-the-art, contemporary apartment is truly stunning. From a kitchen, a walk-in shower room with natural lighting and a separate bathtub, and a lounge area with a stylish gramophone with vinyl records to limo service to and from the airport, there’s simply no question as to why Drzazga chooses this hotel. While she enjoys meeting clients at the restaurant on-site, she often doesn’t want to leave the comforts of her private stay. In those moments, the in-rooming dining feature allows her to take a post-workout bath before relaxing into her luxurious Yukata robes. For dinner, she typically chooses the black cod with miso and an exclusive sake to top it off.

Nobu Hotels welcomes furry friends across the globe in off-leash luxury.
Oftentimes, the downside of travel is leaving your beloved pets at home, but Nobu Hotels encourages you to bring your furry companions with you no matter where you’re headed. As we head into the holidays, it’s important to keep the family together—yes, that also means our four-legged friends. All Nobu Hotels are dog-friendly, and many happily provide a range of VIP treatments for your dogs just as they do for their human guests. No matter what, your dogs are welcomed with open arms and are ensured a plush pet bed and room to roam.
Nobu Hotel London Portman SquareOne of the most comprehensive Nobu pet programs can be found at the ultra-luxe Nobu Hotels Ibiza Bay. This island off the eastern coast of Spain might be known for its buzzy nightlife, but the hotel prides itself on its wellness and relaxation offerings—and now that extends to your pets, as well. The hotel’s Dog Spaw offers facials, massage, shampoos, and fullbody treatments so your dog can relax just like you do. The spa is in partnership with Charlie & Co Naturals, a luxury line of dog grooming products using 100% natural ingredients. There are a few treatments on offer, including the Charlie Signature Facial, a gentle cleansing for your dog’s face, tear stains, beards, skin, and fur. The cleanse uses organic oat extract for a deep clean, and the treatment ends with a dash of hydrating moisture balm for the nose. There’s also the Charlie Hydrating and Relaxing Paw Massage to combat the dry, cracked paws your dogs might experience from weather. The massage includes plant healing balms to make sure each paw is healed and moisturized. For pups in need of a full-body cleanse, look no further than the Charlie Fresh and Fluff, a shampoo spritz and wipe-down to keep your furry friends smelling and looking their best.
While Ibiza Bay might be the ultimate “spaw” retreat for your dogs, each Nobu Hotel proudly welcomes guests with special amenities, toys, bowls, pet waste bags, and a plush pet bed to make your dog feel just as comfortable as you are. The concierge will also provide a guide to the best dog-friendly places in every city, whether you’re in London, Barcelona, or Chicago. Nobu Hotels can also cater to any special needs your dogs require to ensure their stay is as seamless as possible. No matter the size or breed of your dog, Nobu Hotels welcomes your pets and has no weight restrictions.
Some hotels take it even further. Nobu Hotel London Portman Square partnered with luxury linen supplier Tielle Love Luxury to create bathrobes exclusively for dogs. The bespoke white bathrobes are soft, fluffy, and absolutely adorable and feature black-checked trim, the Nobu logo, and a paw print. You can even request to add a personal touch with custom embroidery. The robes, which come in a range of sizes to fit many different breeds, have a hood and Velcro tie waist— perfect for keeping your pooch dry after a warm, relaxing bath. While there are rules and regulations all guests with pets must follow, pets are welcomed in many of the hotel’s restaurants, near the pool, and around the grounds to accompany you on every step of your trip—as long as they are on a leash.
You can’t go wrong with any Nobu guest room, but for the ultimate retreat, be sure to book a Nobu suite on your next trip so you and your furry friend can indulge in the spacious luxury Nobu has to offer. The hotel will ensure special treats will be awaiting you upon your arrival.

St. Michael’s Alley is a popular neighborhood haunt that has been around since 1959, though it has changed locations and ownership over the years. The Stanford Theatre celebrates the Golden Age of Hollywood with its glamorous, circa-1925 design. Apart from some modern upgrades and restorations, stepping into it is like stepping back in time. After some much-needed updates, the theater is again open to the public for select screenings. It hosts Alfred Hitchcock and Humphrey Bogart screenings annually. There are many in the supercar world who still refuse to see speed and sustainability as compatible, believing that the latter inevitably entails compromise. For years Lamborghini has been quietly working to set the record straight. And now, on the eve of unveiling its first-ever hybrid series production vehicle, the iconic Italian marque has established itself as one of the most sustainable automobile manufacturers on the planet—a fact that will no doubt take many eco-skeptics by surprise.
Despite formidable challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, the conflict in Ukraine, skyrocketing energy costs, and supply chain shortages, “Lamborghini is in a position of strength,” declares Stephan Winkelmann, Automobili Lamborghini’s dashing chairman and CEO. “In 2023, the year of our 60th anniversary, we will enter a new era in the history of our company, hybridizing our entire model range,” he says. “Our cars will not only reduce emissions by over 50 percent; they will also feature an even higher performance and fun-to-drive than today’s already outstanding products.”
By the end of 2024, Lamborghini—founded in Sant’Agata Bolognese in Emilia-Romagna in 1963—has pledged to transition to hybridized models only. At the same time, the brand will unveil a new motorsports program centered on an innovative hybrid hypercar developed by its Squadra Corse division to compete in the LMDh (Le Mans Daytona hybrid) racing series, with a top speed of 211 mph. And by the end of the decade, Winkelmann has pledged to produce the very first fully electric Lamborghini.
In 2019 Lamborghini unveiled its first-ever hybrid build, one of the most powerful, and beautiful, of its kind, the 808-hp Sián FKP 37 hypercar. Part of its limited series, known as “few-offs,” only 63 are being made, at a starting price of $2.64 million apiece. They were sold out before most people even knew it existed. That first foray into hybridization will help with the launch of a plug-in hybrid version of its Aventador successor in 2023, certainly destined to be a game-changer and a shot across the bows of the competition. It was also recently rumored that the marque’s much-anticipated successor to the Huracán coupe will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 with a hybrid
In order to achieve all these eco-friendly initiatives, from building more fuel-efficient cars to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by an impressive 50% by the beginning of 2025, more than $1.8 billion has been allocated, representing “the largest investment in Lamborghini’s history,” the brand notes. This may be less of a surprise when you consider how far they’ve come already. Lamborghini has been patiently working towards being one of the greenest automotive concerns on the planet since at least 2009, when they became the first Italian company in the automotive industry to obtain the EU’s EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) environmental certification. Many more such initiatives led up to 2020, when the marque celebrated 75 years since the establishment of the United Nations by adopting 14 of the organization’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focused on “clean energy, the fight against climate change, responsible production and economic growth.”
The key objective, they note, is to continue the Sant’Agata Bolognese site’s carbondioxideneutral certification, first achieved in 2015—“a huge challenge given the significant industrial growth the company will undergo over the coming years."
“Safeguarding the world and the environment is a key element of Lamborghini’s conduct as an industrial enterprise,” the company says.
“Lamborghini’s goal is to create value by acting responsibly towards the world in which it operates, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of society and the economy.”
That growth may be occurring faster than anyone anticipated. With 173 dealers worldwide, Lamborghini ended 2021 with an all-time record of 8,405 cars delivered worldwide, its best year ever. Sales were up by 13% over 2020 due to a targeted and monitored growth strategy, while turnover reached an all-time high of 1.95 billion euros, a 19% increase over 2020. And even more stellar results have been predicted for 2022, judging by figures that have been tabulated so far, including a nearly 70% increase in operating profit.
Now with his eye already on 2030, Winkelmann is embracing a “holistic vision of the company’s sustainability strategy,” a 360-degree approach that spans from the actual cars and the production lines to the entire factory campus—which now houses LEED Platinum-certified office buildings, a biodiversity area dedicated to preserving local flora, and even a thriving colony of bees to pollinate it all. First initiated in 2016, the company’s apiaries are now home to some 600,000 bees, which also provide scientists with a critical means of environmental analysis. From honeybees to hypercars, it is no exaggeration to say that things are really buzzing in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
For more than 30 years, Nobu has exclusively served rare sake from Japanese brewery Hokusetsu— here, the brewery’s sake master, Fumio Hazu, tells us about the beverage’s unique journey from Sado Island, Japan, to Nobu’s worldwide restaurants.
Words by Emma ReynoldsIt all started 30 years ago in Beverly Hills with a Japanese rock star, chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and an incredible bottle of smooth Japanese sake from Hokusetsu Sake Brewery. More than three decades later, rare bottles of Hokusetsu sake are served exclusively in Nobu’s restaurants in more than 50 countries around the globe.
On that fateful visit, Japanese rock singer Eikichi Yazawa brought his friend Nobu Matsuhisa a bottle of Hokusetsu Daiginjo to Beverly Hills for him to try.
Chef Matsuhisa liked it so much that he requested it be exclusive to his only restaurant at the time, Nobu in New York, outside of Japan.
“Nobu-san requested to meet with us, and this was my first visit to him in Beverly Hills,” Fumio Hazu, Hokusetsu’s sake master, tells Nobu Magazine. “Looking back, I never imagined 30 years later that I would be drinking Hokusetsu at Nobu restaurants that are now all over the world. I was attracted by Nobu-san’s enthusiasm for cooking and charm as a human being, and I knew I wanted to work with this person. I immediately made the promise to make our sakes exclusive for his restaurants.”
Sake Master - Fumio Hazu“Our strength is that we produce sakes true to the traditional flavors that have been handed down since our founding.”
Like many Japanese traditions, sake has ancient origins; some say it might even date back to around 500 BC. Sake is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice that ranges from dry to sweet flavors and is noncarbonated. Hokusetsu Brewery has been producing this tasty beverage for well over a century on Sado Island, Japan’s sixth-largest island, located off the eastern part of the Sea of Japan, known for its beautiful rugged coastline, clear water, mountains, and rare fauna. It’s also an ideal location to brew sake, thanks to its clean air, pristine water, and high-quality sake rice. Hazu’s family has roots on Sado Island dating back to 1589, and his family began brewing sake in 1872.
“At that time, it was a small sake brewery for the locals, but it gradually spread throughout Japan, and now it is enjoyed overseas due to my encounter and relationship with Nobu-san,” Hazu says, adding that the brewery celebrated its 150th anniversary this year. “Our strength is that we produce sakes true to the traditional flavors that have been handed down since our founding.”
Hazu says many time-honored sake brewing methods are still used in their process today. While the fundamental method of making sake remains the same, the introduction of technology and machines for making koji (rice malt) and new tools for brewing have brought innovation and efficiency to these traditional techniques. However, Hazu mentions one sake in particular, Shizuku-shu, a premium substyle of sake, that they brew using an ancient method. Sake drips from sake bags filled with moromi (or yeast, steamed rice, rice malt, and water) and is then collected and bottled.
Nobu serves all of Hokusetsu’s glorious sakes, ranging in price, flavor, and style. Most importantly, the sake pairs nicely with Nobu’s entire menu. Hazu recommends pairing Hokusetsu’s YK35 sake with the restaurant’s iconic miso black cod dish.
“The synergy effect between the two is truly delightful,” he says. “Nobu offers a variety of our sake, from refreshingly dry to mellow with gorgeous aromas, so I recommend you enjoy pairing sake that goes well with each dish. The smooth quality of our sakes matches all types of food. We aim to make sake that you can enjoy from the first glass, but that makes you want to keep drinking comfortably throughout.”
Unlike other drinks, such as spirits or liqueurs, Hazu says there are no rules to drinking sake. In fact, sake can be enjoyed in a wide range of temperatures, from cold to lukewarm to hot. Different glassware can also change the flavor. He explains, “I like to have lukewarm sake at about 40 degrees [Celcius] when I am having sushi. Other bold and fruitier sakes, such as Nobu TK-40 and YK-35 Enshinbunri, are best served chilled and enjoyed in wineglasses.”
Above all, Hazu says, the important thing is to simply enjoy it— however you like it.
A sumptuous, relaxing hotel is a must when traveling to a far-flung locale, but oftentimes the magic lies in a destination’s natural surroundings. With properties in all corners of the globe, Nobu Hotels encourages you to get out and explore, whether it’s to reconnect with yourself or with the immediate environment. Luckily, there’s no shortage of bucket-list destinations to choose from—with plenty of exciting new hotels and resorts in the ever-evolving brand’s pipeline.
One of the newest sanctuaries is the dreamy Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Santorini, perched on the Greek island’s northeast coast along the Aegean Sea and overlooking the iconic Caldera. The intimate hotel, with just 25 rooms, suites, and villas dotted among the landscape, is located on a clifftop in the rustic town of Imerovigli. It’s just 10 minutes from the famous and bustling capital Oia, known for its avalanche of whitewashed villas that hover over the sea. Guests
have the luxury of being near all of the action while easily retreating to a quiet and secluded enclave. Santorini is popular for a reason: There are simply no vistas like it throughout the hundreds of other Greek islands.
Many people believe Santorini to be a spiritual destination, filled with ancient history and traditions. Nobu is tapping into this energy through thoughtful partnerships. For the autumnal equinox, Nobu partnered with London-based mind and body studio House of Wisdom. The hotel’s first pop-up wellness concept featured group sessions with the studio’s expert teacher and energy healer, Bella Ava Georgiou, to rebalance energy through breathwork, crystal healing, and self-care ceremonies. The hotel also has a luxurious spa with the option of in-room massages and body treatments for the ultimate relaxation.
These sun-drenched island retreats in Greece, Spain, and the Caribbean are beckoning you to explore, relax, and indulge.
Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, located on the island of Ibiza off the coast of Spain, encourages you to explore the island through its comprehensive hiking and outdoor programming. While Ibiza might be known for its high-octane clubs and music festivals, there’s a beautiful, untouched element of the island ripe for wellness pursuits. To get a more intimate feel for the island, the hotel offers expert-led, guided hikes that take you through age-old smuggler routes; ancient ruins; the mystical rock Es Vedrà; dramatic, gorgeous, hidden caves; and natural pools. There are also guided meditations, sound baths, and e-bike tours around Ibiza’s rugged northern coastline. Ibiza also has adrenaline-pumping cliff jumping and snorkeling in the turquoise waters. This year, the hotel introduced Holistic Hikes Retreats in partnership with Ibiza Hike Station: three-night, three-hike retreats with guided hiking, meditation, shout therapy, and spa treatments.
Nobu also hopes to lure travelers to the Caribbean with its most recent opening in the region, Nobu Barbuda, located on the small island of Barbuda. Opened in 2021, Nobu Barbuda includes a signature Nobu restaurant and a newly unveiled Nobu Beach Club, a sophisticated, relaxing spot where travelers can book private beachside cabanas, indulge in fresh seafood, and sip cocktails while enjoying oceanfront outdoor massages. It’s situated on Princess Diana Beach, as the late icon traveled to the country quite often, and here, guests can enjoy everything the island is so revered for: pristine white-sand beaches, incredible wildlife, and impossibly blue waters. Luckily, Nobu Hotel fans will soon have a more permanent option. The brand is developing Nobu Beach Inn, a resort hotel and spa to round out the restaurant and beach club. Like other Nobu properties, the Barbuda hotel will also have a strong wellness focus with a sprawling spa and in-depth wellness programming.
No matter what time of the year you travel or what type of holiday you seek, Nobu beckons you to experience its bespoke services, expert-led activities, and five-star amenities at its properties across the globe.
Every love story is unique, so it’s natural for couples making it official to want an equally bespoke celebration. From the wedding ceremony and reception to bridal brunches, bachelorette parties, and welcome dinners—and everything in between—each Nobu Hotel brings the same standards of top locations, gracious service, flawless design, and attention to every detail.
No request is too small and no event too complicated. Case in point: When a U.S.-based couple, who splits their time between New York and Los Angeles, got engaged in 2019, they knew they wanted a five-day destination wedding that would both honor their Indian heritage and showcase their personal style. Jasmine Multani and Aadit Parikh chose Nobu Los Cabos, where they hosted a traditional Hindu Sangeet ceremony with the added fun of a mezcal tasting, a Sikh wedding ceremony on the beach, and an outdoor reception for 149 guests under a canopy of twinkle lights, complete with signature cocktails, a dance floor, and fireworks to celebrate the occasion.
The property has earned the praise of discriminating wedding couples and event planners. “Having hosted events in some of the most iconic venues in the world, the Nobu Los Cabos continues to stand apart as a remarkable wedding destination,” says Jasprit Kaul, managing partner of global event planning firm L’Escape, with offices in the U.S. and Canada. Thanks to the resort’s key location, attention to detail, hospitable employees, and customizable venues, “it remains one of our favorite wedding destinations throughout the world,” she says. The experience in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, is emblematic of the Nobu wedding experience worldwide.
Tailored.
Every Nobu Hotel around the world prioritizes the Japanese concept of omotenashi, meaning that guests are the focus. Brides and grooms, as well as their friends and family members, will be treated to personalized service at every stage of their memorable events, from planning until the final farewell.
The attention to detail and focus on the preferences of the soon-to-be-wed couple means that the team can accommodate just about any cultural specifications. A traditional, multiday Indian wedding celebration? No problem. A multi-faith religious ceremony followed by a dance party? It’s a pleasure. A low-key commitment ceremony? The team is happy to oblige. Plus, the beautiful, distinctive decor elements for which Nobu is known, with organic lines and neutral color palettes, provide a ready canvas on which to build highly personalized dream events.
Each Nobu Hotel’s location has been chosen for its unique assets. From the pristine waterside locales of Talamanca Bay in Ibiza, Miami, Marbella in Spain, and Santorini to the bustling, jaw-dropping cityscapes in Warsaw, Chicago, Manilla, and London —to name just a few—a wedding in any of these locations capitalizes on what makes the hotel special. A bride might choose a toes-in-the-sand ceremony and an alfresco reception with some of the world’s most iconic coastal backdrops, or might opt for an elegant ballroom affair just steps from a world capital’s city center.
Magic in the details.
Often, the most memorable elements of wedding celebrations are the small, thoughtful details. It might be scheduling photos to happen at the precise moment the sun dips below the horizon, adding a locally handcrafted piece as a keepsake in guests’ welcome bags, or creating a dish that celebrates the couple’s cultural heritage. For those who want to borrow a tradition, Nobu Hotel clients often perform San San Kudo, or sharing sake, one of Japan’s oldest wedding ceremonial traditions dating back to the 8th century. Toasting with sake symbolizes the formal bond between the bride and groom. Regardless of which details clients choose, no request is too specific when it comes to creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Sometimes the best part of a celebration is what happens after the main event. Nobu’s event planners are experts at crafting the perfect encore, from a late-night dance party to a decadent farewell brunch the day after the ceremony.

With its rich history dating back to Roman times, this 21st-century city is a treasure trove of incredible dining, iconic architecture, world-class museums, and luxury shopping. A mecca for culture and so much more, Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch should be next to visit on your travel list.
Southern hospitality, famously fair weather, and culture to spare make Georgia’s capital city an alluring choice.
Words by Jennifer Bradley FranklinDubbed “the city too busy to hate,” Atlanta has plenty to keep visitors engaged. With balmy weather that inspired the “Hot-lanta” moniker (which locals eschew), a restaurant scene on the rise, plenty of green space, adventure spots, and so much more, it’s a prime destination for designing whatever getaway you choose. Find an ideal home-away-from-
home base in the sustainable, elegantly designed Nobu Hotel Atlanta, opening fall 2022 in the city’s posh Buckhead neighborhood. When you’re not relaxing in the peaceful rooms or dining on flawlessly prepared Japanese-Peruvian cuisine at the hotel’s signature restaurant, here are just some of the places you won’t want to miss on an ATL excursion.
Start your Atlanta art tour at the High Museum of Art, the largest such art destination in the Southeast. The buildings themselves, designed by major architectural players such as Renzo Piano and Richard Meier, are works of art in their own right. Plan to spend time getting lost in the 17,000-some works in the permanent collection and major traveling exhibitions[2] . If you can only hit one gallery, see one of the museum’s newest acquisitions, the Shaheen Collection, which includes works by Boudin, Monet, Pissarro, Modigliani, and Matisse. For a lower-key approach, check out the city’s top-notch street-art scene. Consult the Atlanta Street Art Map online for a curated walking tour and information on the artists behind the vibrant murals that dot the cityscape. Cap off your art-forward exploration with a meal at Atlas, where the colorful, exquisitely composed plates rival the ever-rotating collection that includes Picasso and Francis Bacon. Retire to the adjacent fanciful, greenhouse-inspired Garden Room for artful cocktails and avant-garde desserts.
The hustle and bustle of the city is never far away, but Atlanta has its share of quiet spots to relax and recharge. Start with a walk along the Atlanta BeltLine, a path that follows 22 miles of historic railway looping around downtown, connecting multi-use trails and more than 1,000 acres of parks. Stop off at The King Center [1], dedicated to celebrating the legacy of civil rights movement visionary Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prepare to be moved by the eternal flame monument to the great man’s vision of “beloved community,” a world where justice and peace prevail. Spend time wandering through the Atlanta Botanical Garden, a 30-acre plot of manicured hills, paths winding through lush trees, a fragrant orchid house, and art installations in floral motifs. For a luxe way to kick back, book a pool cabana at Rooftop L.O.A. (that’s “leave of absence”), where the climate-controlled water, spectacular sunset views, and a menu of craft cocktails and snacks are a recipe for chilling out in style.
Atlanta lives up to its reputation as the South’s shopping capital. For coveted international brands, Nobu Hotel Atlanta-adjacent Phipps Plaza is the place to score Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Celine, and more. Don’t sleep on one of the most exciting new boutique openings of late, ANT/DOTE, where the stylists/curators/owners stock under-the-radar and up-andcoming labels such as Marine Serre, Paco Rabanne, Undercover, and Hyke. Shop for a stylish chapeau at B.M. Franklin & Co.’s first outpost outside of NYC, where you’ll find hats made of fur felt and handwoven straw. For menswear-inspired pieces, head to Factor’s on Moreland Avenue, where Sid Mashburn alum Matt Lambert is creating punk-rock-meets-tailored unisex styles. Another new Atlanta original is Don Purcell, who worked with retail visionary Jeffery Kalinsky for years before opening his own eponymous boutique. The colorful shop offers gifts, art, and jewelry from Aussie jeweler Will Hanigan as well as Melissa Kaye, who is known for neon enamel paired with diamonds. New Orleans-based artist Ashley Longshore’s pop art adorns the walls for extra impact.
Just because Atlanta is landlocked doesn’t mean you can’t have an underwater adrenaline rush. Suit up for the “Journey with the Gentle Giants” experience at the Georgia Aquarium, the largest in the western hemisphere. You’ll dive and swim with trainers, as well as whale sharks, massive manta rays, and dozens of other species in the Ocean Voyager exhibition. Take to the air—and use muscles you may not even know you have—at iFly, the indoor experience that uses a super-powered wind tunnel to give guests the sensation of skydiving without needing an airplane. Experienced instructors can help you perform impressive tricks and spins. Round out your adventure with some high-speed laps around the winding course at the Porsche Experience Center, a 27.7acre campus. Brush up on your carhandling skills in the multi-sensory driving simulator, or spring for a hands-on session with a professional, where you’ll zoom around the 1.6-mile track, set up for varied hazards and challenges, in your choice of Porsche dream cars from the 77-vehicle fleet.
Atlanta’s food scene is as varied as its intensely global population. Whether you’re looking for a super-upscale meal or down-home fare, you’ll find it here. Fuel up with a flaky croissant or savory mushroom tartine and coffee at the striking Buckhead cafe Le Bon Nosh. Explore some of the city’s— and the South’s—best farm-to-table presentations at Miller Union, where Chef Steven Satterfield lets local products shine in simple, exquisite preparations such as an impossibly silky farm egg baked in celery cream and pork belly with peanut salsa macha. Let a team of creative chefs’ culinary whims carry you through a meal at Gunshow, where a daily-changing menu of Southern and international dishes with unexpected twists are served dim-sum style (a highlight: a mixologist pushing a roving bar cart to craft boozy cocktails tableside).
Have an elegant bite at Lucian Books and Wine and perhaps choose a glass of bubbles from an under-the-radar winemaker to accompany a tome from the curated collection, with topics including food, art, music, and fashion
Tucked away inside Nobu Hotel Warsaw, a new supper-bar experience welcomes guests to enjoy Japan’s signature drink in traditional and modern ways. A mesmerizing addition to the city, Sake Bar honors the rich history of its namesake beverage. Dating back over 2,000 years, the Japanese drink is intertwined with the country’s heritage — and is just as important to the Nobu brand itself. More than just a liquor, it has a production process that is more akin to an art form. Requiring extraordinary precision, a delicate hand, and a keen eye, its taste is dependent on a lengthy process: polishing, rinsing, steaming, fermenting, filtering, and maturing the alcohol. Best done using traditional tools, the method takes approximately 20 days, proving that good things come to those who wait.
Served in silver chiroris (traditional silver jugs), wooden masus, and modern carafes, drinks at this 55-seat venue are as captivating as the space itself. Designed by Warsaw-based architect duo Jeske & Adamchyk, the venue melds ethereal ambiance with sensual details. Floating structures and fog-filled areas reflect the natural materials used to craft the space, a beautiful combination of Japanese tradition and vibrant Warsaw influence.
Enjoy signature cocktails like the Hajikami Martini, crafted from Japanese ginger marinade, with pairings from the Nobu-inspired tapas menu. Try bites of black cod and wasabi croquettes while you soak in the sultry, magnetic atmosphere. Sake Bar melds Japanese tradition with the vibrant Warsaw nightlife to create something truly magical, and we are so excited to celebrate its opening.
To celebrate the addition of two new extraordinary spaces in the Nobu Hotel Shoreditch, we hosted a VIP evening featuring an exclusive tour, a sushi master class, and an unforgettable arts experience. A night to remember, the open house was the perfect way to announce the openings, including a brand-new sixth-floor penthouse event space and Yuhi bedrooms.
Champagne flowed as we explored our beautiful surroundings; the luxe Japanese design was the perfect backdrop for the magical night. Guests were treated to a hands-on sushi masterclass in the penthouse (a once-in-a-lifetime experience) and a delicious sake tasting. We had the chance to explore the new spaces, and we enjoyed specialty drinks and bites while a DJ ensured spirits were high.
A definite favorite of the evening was a unique art showcase, in which a speed painter created an incredible portrait of Chef Nobu live. A chance to enjoy music, beautiful design, and great food — it was the perfect way to showcase new beginnings and celebrate friendships old and established. We laughed, drank, and took in our stunning surroundings — Nobu Shoreditch certainly provided an evening we won’t soon forget.
When it comes to mastering the Nobu Menu, we’ve got you covered. With exclusive options and destination-specific offerings at restaurants worldwide, we’ve indulged in delicacies around the globe (and we’ve definitely found a few showstoppers.) This winter, our favorite pairing comes from the NAMI bar at Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch. Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of London at the dazzling bar, where delicious bites and specialty cocktails are never out of reach. With a carefully curated menu filled with dynamic flavors and creative combinations, our personal favorites are the Kinomi Berry tonic and the NAMI fish and chips. Crafted with Plymouth Gin and enhanced with Elderflower Tonic, the Kinomi Berry is refreshing, bright, and fragrant. A balance of florals and fruits, the pomegranate seeds and blueberries add the perfect punch of sweetness. The light, fresh cocktail strikes a beautiful balance with the rich, salty cod that serves as the base for Nobu’s take on fish and chips. Melt-in-your-mouth texture surrounded by a crisp, crunchy exterior results in a little bite of heaven (seriously, this might be one of the best things we’ve ever tried.) Served alongside 24-hour slow-cooked chips flavored with Dashi soup stock and an unexpectedly wonderful jalapeno dipping sauce, this pairing is as vivacious and indulgent as London itself.
